About this apartment rental
With two beautiful sun-drenched terraces complete with sleek outdoor furniture and a refreshingly open-feeling interior that allows the Corsican sunshine to stream inside in spadefuls, this delightful second-floor holiday apartment for up to six guests exudes a special kind of laid-back coastal charm. An understated palette of nuanced neutral tones accented with eye-catching notes of deep teal-blue mirroring the colour of the sea surrounding the island is designed not only to inspire calm, but to promote an overall sense of harmonious well-being. This allows you to rest and fully recharge your batteries upon your return here, before setting off again to make the most of what the island has in store – including the nearest beach just 150 metres away!
The island of Corsica boasts a particular blend of French and Italian cultures as it was originally an Italian island until it was essentially bought by France in 1768. This melding of cultures, cuisines, architecture, and, indeed, ways of life has fostered a unique atmosphere on the island, one which beguiles all those who come here. As well as its rich cultural and gastronomical offerings, Corsica also presents its visitors with a plethora of activities and adventure sports to choose from, thanks to its varied and often stunning landscapes. From pristine beaches tucked away in coves and lapped by aquamarine waters, to high mountains dotted with traditional villages, there are myriad ways in which Corsica will surprise you. Visit the eerie abandoned village at Occi for a glimpse back in time, just a 15-minute drive from the property, or explore Corsica’s very own desert of Agriates – reachable in around an hour by car.
No matter how you choose to spend the day, as dusk falls, that terrace is beckoning. So, why not pick up ingredients at one of the shops in Calvi, a quintessential Mediterranean town known for its impressive thirteenth-century fortress, and prepare to cook up a feast of Corsican specialties in the apartment’s kitchen? Pasta dishes of all descriptions are especially popular, and the island is known for its fabulous charcuterie boards (well, given that the food here is a mix of French and Italian cuisines, it’s hardly surprising that the result should be pretty out of this world!)
