Incline walk isn’t great to the accommodation with bags

Lots of insects came into the room
No hot water
Shower door didn’t shut properly and had rot
Notable tip - Food was more expensive than the ones down the front

The location was nice
Staff weren’t the friendliest and did not enjoy the food. They offered a mix vegetable stir fry and it was a few slithers of three vegetables: onion, pepper and carrots. Worst meal I had in the country. Also the toilets and bathrooms weren’t clean

Lovely hostel with really kind staff and a great vibe
It's up a very steep hill, that can be hard in the heat.

Couldn’t really ask for much more from a budget accommodation on Koh Rong. Stunning view from our window and the shared balcony right outside our room. Hammocks were a really nice touch and in close walking distance to Koah Touch beach. Staff were super friendly and helpful, they let us leave our bags and keep our towels so that we could come back and shower before getting our boat.
Lots of mosquitoes could get in at night, we did have nets but then the fan air didn’t reach us through the net. Appreciate mosquitoes can’t really be helped so just make sure to have plenty of repellant. The walk up is quite steep, but other reviews definitely over-exaggerate

Great view of the bay from communal balcony.
Felt like being in the tree canopy.
Room was very basic, single ply wood walls. Bathroom facilities down one level.
The walk up from the main area is quite a hike with bags.

When we first got there they wanted to put us in a room that no windows, no way to get a source of fresh air. Luckily, the electricity was not functioning so we were moved upstairs to a room with windows. The walls are paper thin and not even closed on the top near the ceiling so be prepared to hear everything & be heard. Not even an hour in our stay, I saw a rat trying to bite it’s way through the “wall” of our room (to prove how thin these walls are). We heard rats all night crawling around and simply crossed our fingers that they wouldn’t chew their way into our bags. The mosquito nets had holes everywhere so we weren’t really protected. Check your mattresses for bedbugs before sleeping there. The floors were very dirty so we kept our shoes on the whole time. The shared bathroom doors hardly open or close.
Overall, this was the worst place we stayed at throughout our 3 month travel
in South east Asia. We booked for 2 nights when we first got there but didn’t even stay there the second.
I don’t wish any bad to this business but I hope this may encourage the owner to better the place which had some potential.

I kept renewing because I liked it. In total I was there 10 days. The room is simple but very spacious and was clean. I like nature sounds, so I was happy about the open room. And the view from the hammock is breathtaking. Very quiet and perfect for relaxing. Thank you for the great time. I will defenitly come back again.

Great location close to all the bars and restaurants in town but far enough up the hill to avoid the noise! Good room with comfortable bed. Good value for money, friendly staff (some with limited English though).
No sink in the private bathroom (sink is outside in shared bathroom area), no door on the bathroom either and no window in the room. Everything else was great👍🏼

Beautiful view! The place is clean, and the staff is really nice

- only stayed here because of the price, but now would pay more to stay somewhere else
- first night, the lady receptionist checked us into a wooden hut with a shared bathroom. The room we booked was a double room with private bathroom. She tried to make out that this wooden hut was worth the same as a double room with private bathroom because it had ‘two beds..’ this obviously makes no sense.. She reluctantly refunded us the price difference for our first night but why should we try and negotiate for our money back when it should have just been refunded based on the fact that we weren’t getting what we paid for.
- we got changed to the room we booked on the second day, the shower drain in the room we were given was full of hair & blocked so cleaners did not clean properly.
- no air con in room that we can use despite it being stated that there is…
- property up a steep hill (okay for us but might not be for others)
- only cold water in shower, and no wash basin in ‘private bathroom.’ Was also never given any toilet paper for the bathroom.

Price was not too bad for this island, but you need to keep your expectations low, first room upstairs had bed bugs and rats eating our clothes and second had no window:) so pick your poison:) but kind and helpful staff.
