The Merry Meadow Cabin

Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, this two-story cabin offers an idyllic setting for a family of 5-8 or two small families. With its large deck overlooking a picturesque meadow and pond in the distance, you'll feel immersed in the tranquility of the outdoors. The ample outdoor space allows for boat parking, BBQ gatherings, cozy fireside moments, and exploration of the meadow and pond.

After a day filled with adventure, retreat to the cabin and unwind on the expansive deck or step inside to find comfort. The main floor features a fully equipped kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, and electric stove, ensuring you have all the essentials to prepare delicious meals. Additionally, the dining room, laundry room, and one bathroom are conveniently located on the main floor. As you explore the cabin, you'll discover a delightful living room adorned with cozy couches, a Smart TV, and a wood-burning fireplace. There's even a charming nook tucked under the stairs, complete with seating and a collection of books for the little ones to enjoy.

Upstairs, three inviting bedrooms and another bathroom await, providing ample space for everyone to retreat and rest. This cabin has all the ingredients for creating cherished family traditions, and we hope your stay becomes a recurring part of your family's journey, filled with precious memories.

The Space

This two story cabin provides enough space for 10 guests, but we believe 4-6 adults and the remainder children would be most comfortable.   Downstairs, you'll find the kitchen, dining area, living room with beautiful brick fireplace, and windows overlooking the deck and gorgeous property! The open concept kitchen, dining, and living space is the perfect area to gather, and opens up to the back deck for amazing summer BBQs and wildlife watching, we're right next to a meadow and pond!  Under the stairs, you'll find the sweetest nook with children's books and toys for the little ones to play in their very own tiny space. The couch in the living room pulls out into a bed. Upstairs, you'll find the primary bedroom with a queen bed, another bedroom with a queen and twin bed, and a bunk room with two twin bunkbeds. Outside, the large deck is a great place to sit with your coffee cup and watch for wildlife, BBQ, or hang out with friends.  Enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding pines and expansive lot, play on the swing set, or explore the pond.  There's plenty of space to play in the summer, and your own personal winter wonderland in the winter.

The Neighborhood

Located in the Sierra Cedars neighborhood dotted with unique and extravagant cabins, this is a prime location for viewing wildlife! Bring your own kayaks and pole to take advantage of the neighborhood pond! Plowed roads in the winter, flat and easy boat parking (Late spring-early fall)! Breathe in the crisp mountain air and sip your morning coffee, or barbecue with your family and friends outdoors in this family-friendly neighborhood. Five minute drive to restaurants and shopping, just over 30 minutes to China Peak Ski Resort!

Getting Around

We suggest using your own vehicle to get around.  You are more than welcome to walk, jog, or bike around the neighborhood! 4 wheel drive and tire chains are strongly encouraged during winter months, and may be required by California Highway Patrol if there's snow in the forecast.  It's not uncommon for the roads to close when there is heavy snow fall.  Make sure to keep an eye on your weather forecast.

This cabin is hosted by a family-owned business, Guest Equity Vacation Rentals!  We have a 100% response rate and love chatting with our guests! We're Super Hosts and Community Leaders on Airbnb, and Premiere Partners on VRBO!
We are available from 8am-9pm by messaging through the app or calling/texting the Customer Service phone number provided in your check-in instructions. House Rules

1. Communication is key!  Check in after 4pm.  Check out by 11am.  Our office hours are between 8am-9pm, so please communicate between those hours and let us know if you plan to arrive after 9pm.

2.  Honesty is the best policy! Let us know about ALL guests who will be coming to the house. Maximum Occupancy is 10, and we believe six adults (or less) and four kids would be the most comfortable.

3. No parties! We know this home holds a lot of people, but we still request that you love it as if it's your own. No smoking of any kind. Removal of smoke detectors is illegal. Loud music, excessive rowdiness, excessive drinking, smoking, etc. will result in a $1,000 party fine. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am.

4. Be respectful! When using outdoor areas (patio, bbq, etc.), and other provided amenities, please clean up after yourself so the next guests can enjoy them as well. If something is wrong, low, or out, please let us know so we can fix it.

5. Have fun! Our goal is to host a vacation to remember. If you don't agree with our above rules, this is NOT the house for you, please let us know so we can find you a home that better suits your needs! We'll always do our best to make sure you have the best time!

6. Act like a LOCAL! Please NEVER leave trash outside or a dirty BBQ, which will attract bears and other wild animals.  There is a provided dumpster for your convenience.  This is a tight-knit mountain community and we all need to do our part to keep it clean and beautiful! Have a great stay!
