Leave Barnstaple on A361 Braunton/Ilfracombe road. Go through Braunton, approx. 4 to 5 miles after Braunton you come to Mullacott Cross Roundabout - turn left to Woolacombe. Follow the road to Woolacombe, as you get into Woolacombe you pass the Byron Apartments on your right, continue round the bend with The Red Barn to your left, you then need to take the right turning onto the esplanade alongside the beach. Continue down the Esplanade the road will go round to the right and you will see the Watersmeet hotel on your left. Follow the road round to the left, past the bus shelter to your right and take the right turn behind the bus shelter/lay by which is Lower Clay Park. There are two spaces allocated to Combesgate house are on your right to access the further parking space please continue past the spaces on your right and take the first lecft, you will then see a parking area on your left at the rear of Combesgate House - please note from the top parking space you will need to walk back down the road to the front of the property for access as the rear steps are out of bounds. From the 2 lower parking bays walk back down lower clay park, back past the behind of the bus shelter/layby until you reach the road. Follow the road up to the right and you will come across the gate for Combesgate House on your right. Go through the gate follow the steps up to the front door.
