Location is great. Room was clean, recently updated, on site attendant was helpful, The room was ok. It had everything we needed but didn’t match the on-line photos. Was expecting a little more upscale .

It was a good experience!!

It was terrible. My friend and I felt so terrified to stay there. It did not feel safe at all and the room did not feel clean. Our room code was incredibly easy to guess. There were a lot of men loitering in front out our room. When we arrived, the balcony door was left unlocked and we were on the first floor. We were trying to sleep and heard constant tapping from what sounded like the balcony. My friend went to check what it was, and when she peaked her head through the curtains, it instantly stopped. The men were coming to and from different rooms and were staying on both sides of us. They were standing outside of our door yelling and we heard a scream. We felt so so unsafe, we decided to leave. I should also mention that our door didn’t even have a deadbolt??? When we were leaving we ran out the door and one of the men opened up the door a crack and was staring at us. SO CREEPY DONT STAY HERE. With no front desk, it didn’t seem to come across as a problem at first, but if something were to go wrong, you have no one to help you. The blanket also sucked, it was like a paper sheet. I’ve seen so many reviews of people feeling unsafe.

Everything was clean. Easy parking. Safe. Right on the strip for a great price , thank you!

This is a very dated hotel being renovated, but all we need for quick trips like ours is a clean place, with a decent bed, which this was. It's 300 yards to the edge of the main tourist area. We walked down and did tastings and had dinner. Good evening all around. If you like fancy, this is not your place, but if you like a reasonable stay close to attatrctions try this place.

Nothing special about property. Did not see any employee the 2 day stay. No problems so I didn't need anyone.

First of all, this is a super old hotel. Not a lodge in the mountains directly off of the parkway.
The room was big with three beds, that’s what attracted me since 3 of us were on a motorcycle trip.
It seemed like that tried to facelift this place buy nailing pallet board to the walls to make it “rustic” or give it that lodge feel.
There were towels but no soap. So don’t forget to bring that. There was no front office, so no where to go ask for soap.
Since no office, I was texted a code to the door.
The location is great. It’s Gatlinburg and everything is walkable.
The sheets in my bed had a weird stain on them, but seemed clean.
They did have nice new Roku tv’s in each room.
I’d stay here again if I was solo, or on a dudes MC trip, but I wouldn’t bring my lady on a romantic weekend.

They were under construction while we were there. That is why is was nosiy.

Close to mountains or shopping. Easily accessible and contact less check in. Clean and comfortable room. Nothing fancy but nice. Bed was clean and comfortable and the shower was hot and had good water pressure. Even had a bear walk right by our room. Will be back for sure.

It looks like the property is getting renovated but that aside, the whole process of getting checked in was a breeze. The room was very clean, could walk around in white socks and not end up with dark bottoms! The extra towels was AMAZING. I always wipe down toilets and faucets before i use them and as like the floor, the wipes werent dirty. Very close to everything we wanted, we walked to the aquarium, steak house and ice cream shop without breaking a sweat! Customer service was great too, I like the texting and keyless entry! Overall, great experience with the hotel!

It was very nice I loved the cabin feel the only issue I had was both showers leaked and the pool was empty so you couldn’t swim.

It was super cute in pictures, but it was much smaller than expected. It wasn’t cleaned well. There was a mildew smell in one of the rooms and there seemed to be new wood in some areas so seemed like it was still behind it. The pool wasn’t in working condition and many of the rooms were under construction. On the plus side, there were plenty of towels and my dad enjoyed the coffee.

What looked to be a quaint little motel hotel was nothing but a disgusting disappointment. Within 20 seconds of getting out of our vehicle after traveling 11 hours we witness a hit and run in the parking lot. That was a little odd, we decided we would check the room before lugging our stuff in, we did and we’re not impressed. Bathtub finish was peeling, black mold in the air conditioner and on the couch, sharp edges and nails sticking out of the corrugated sheet metal in the bathroom, cat scratch damage in the bathroom all over and a dead house cat with a collar on the corner of the parking lot. We went to go speak with the “office” but as we approached, we noticed 5 large males all hanging out smoking and decided we would rather sleep in the car. Luckily we found a room down in town that didn’t abut the sketchy area this was located. Hoping for a refund but if I don’t get one, that’s fine I’ll enjoy my 3800 mile road trip better knowing I didn’t have to stay at this dump. Very disappointed, the website is great, Expedia pics are decent but in person… not okay at all. Highly not recommended, pay another 100$ and stay somewhere nicer without question.

I think we were the only ones staying in this motel. We were backpacking and only needed a shower, laundry, and bed. So with those requirements it was OK. But I would never stay here for a vacation. It's run down, pool is drained, other than the frogs in the little bit of water, office smelled like cigarette smoke. It could be a cute place but needs a major overhaul. Nothing's been done to it in years.

Easy check in, close to park, walkable to strip and very affordable.

Small room but all accessories were in working order. Location is great to all local attractions. The free trolley stops right at the lodge! Host was responsive with text communication.

I could build a fort in the woods with scaps that would be in better shape than this place. The best thing for this place is a wrecking ball.

Pool empty. Lots of LOUD frogs jumpimg around in it. Close to main strip but not on it which was nice. Good parking. Cabinish feeling we liked. Sink leaked but the manager said they are going through a renovation soon.

When I first arrived I was very disappointed in the hotel room I received. After messaging the hotel they fixed the problem I had, immediately. I had a great stay. I also got to see a bear 30 seconds from the property which was amazing. I’ve been to gatlinburg several times and that was my first time seeing a bear.

The Lodge and room were mostly okay, just old. I had trouble finding the room, because the number "1" on the room labels looks like a "2". The television was small, 30 inches I'd guess. It was hard (for me) to find shows on the Roku system, and I never did find a local news channel.

It was impressive as soon as you enter the room for the first time because of the rustic feel with the reclaimed wood plank used for the wall and the curtains. However, the room needs a lot of upgrade and improvements especially the sink, bathroom counter, toilet seat and bath tub. There is not even an outlet to plug in your hair dryer. You have the move around the furnitures to get access to the outlets! The room needs more lampshades especially by the table at the corner to put your groceries. We had to move the table right next to the sink to have some lighting. Overall, the location is perfect but the property needs a lot of upgrades and renovations, including new paint! Our room was not cleaned on our second day! We love the keyless entry to the room though. Please save this property because it still has a lot of potential and the location is perfect and close to the Great Smokey, downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We got caught and stuck in the traffic though for 2 nights because of the classic car show, we missed our Pirate Voyage dinner show! We love the two Margaritaville resorts we have been during our visits! Over all, our visit was enjoyable!

While the lodge could use some updates, the staff was friendly and accomodating, and made up the difference. When were back in Gatlinburg, we'll be back at Ski Mountain Lodge!

This property has been poorly renovated on the inside and everything seemed unfinished. There were still tags on the wall and in the shower from when it was purchased The property on the exterior hasn’t been touched from the 70’s. It was an uneasy feeling I got from the property. The only things I can say nice were the shower was hot and the bed was very comfortable.

I personally don’t like that no one is at the office to check in. We got to our room late and couldn’t get the door to open. I text the number that said If we have problems text back. That was last night and I still haven’t gotten a response. The room was not real clean and it smelt moldy

The rooms did not look anything like the pictures on line. the flooring was loose and not connected and there was some icky sticky stuff on the floor. Sounds from other rooms were like people were in our room. Smelled of mold and cigarettes. no decor on the walls bedding was old and faded. walls had spots of differnt color paint. no doors on closet or anything to hang clothes on in the closet.. you should tear this down and rebuild.

It was good. Comfortable and fairly quiet. Definitely prefer the rooms with balcony. Our little room had no view of any kind really.

Definitely an older lodge but has lots of character for sure. We booked here for our annual mother daughter trip for 6 days. Check in was super easy as well as check out. Talked with the owner/manager and he said they planned on doing a lot of upgrades very soon. Would definitely stay here again!

The water in toilet keep running, so we had to close the bathroom door to block out the noise. Otherwise, the stay was great! Conveniently within walking distance of all attractions and great resturants in Gat-BurG! Loved it!! Staff was very respectful and extremely helpful and nice.
