About this house rental
Latitude Adjustment II is a gorgeous, recently-remodeled, 3-bedroom, 3-bath home in Frankfort, Michigan. It's in a great location just north of the downtown area. It's in a quiet area, but just a short walk or drive from downtown Frankfort. Provides for a great northern Michigan getaway for individuals, couples, families, and small groups!
NEIGHBORHOOD:
The location of the property is great for exploring Frankfort, which is famous for it's wonderful, family-friendly public beach, it's growing downtown area with lots of shops and eateries, and for fishing both on Lake Michigan and on the Betsie River which flows into Lake Michigan in Frankfort. Point Betsie Lighthouse on Lake Michigan is also only about a 5-minute drive north from the property and it's a fun place for families or couples to visit.
The home is also just a 20-minute drive from the start of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and all of its gorgeous natural beauty. Similarly, Crystal Lake, one of Michigan's most famous and gorgeous inland lakes, is just a 10-minute drive from the home. Legendary M-22 is just a few blocks from the property and taking it north around the Leelanau Peninsula and exploring the cute little beach towns of the Leelanau Peninsula is a very fun experience.
The home is also only about a 1-hour drive from downtown Traverse City, which is the financial, entertainment, dining, and arts capital of all of northern Michigan. There is a vast array of things to do and see in Traverse City if you wish to make a day trip to Traverse City to exploring "bigger city" options.
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have access to the entire property, except for a small owner's closet in the house.
THE SPACE:
Outside, the home features a very cute backyard deck with new landscaping, outdoor dining furniture, and a great backyard bonfire ring for wonderful family times together! There is a gas grill on the backyard deck for grilling and guests are also welcome to use the bicycles, hammock, and beach chairs that are stored in the backyard shed.
Inside, two bedrooms and two bathrooms are on the main level of the home, with the finished lower level consisting of a third bedroom with its own private bathroom. The master bedroom on the main level has its own private en suite bathroom, which was newly remodeled in 2023. The master bedroom and its private bathroom are both large and truly gorgeous! Both main floor bedrooms have queen-size beds. The lower level bedroom effectively has 4 twin-size beds via 2 trundle beds. (Thus, 2 of the twin beds roll up under the other 2 twin beds when they are not in use.)
The interior of the home also includes a modern kitchen with all appliances (including a dishwasher), high-speed Wi-Fi, a streaming television, and a very convenient top load washer and dryer on the main floor. The home also features new central air conditioning (just installed in 2023) to keep the house cool and cozy in the summer on the rather rare hot days in Frankfort. The layout and amenities of the home really work great for families with teenagers or for multiple couples! Couples traveling by themselves will also enjoy lots of room to spread out and relax.
TRANSIT:
It is highly recommended that guests have their own vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
(1) We do recognize that it can be debated as to whether or not the bedroom in the basement is truly a bedroom as there is not a sectioned off room in the basement. There is a door to the basement though and the layout of the basement is set-up as a bedroom, so we do feel that it's acceptable to treat the entire basement as a third bedroom.
(2) The laundry room is entered via the master bedroom. It can thus serve as a "private laundry room" for the master bedroom if desired.

First impressions are big and my two kids got so excited when we first walked in the home. This is a very cute place to stay and we enjoyed it very much. It has a well apportioned kitchen and three very good bathrooms. The A/C worked well for the newly hot summer days while we were there. It had all that we needed. It is a bit of a walk from the main street and beach so it is better for older kids, but overall it is a great stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Frankfort house. It was a very comfortable space inside and out. The house was super clean. The kitchen was very well equipped for our meals in when we didn't go to the local smokehouse. The AC was comfortable. The basement bedroom was very cool but nice blankets were provided. The beach chairs came in handy too. Definitely would stay again if we come back to the same area of Michigan.

My mother and I enjoyed our stay so much we extended it. Perfect for a family too! Excellent location, ease, and access to all home needs. We will do it again in a heartbeat. Jean, managing via Vacasa is absolutely wonderful!!!

This house is so well equipped with plenty of supplies, towels, blankets and cooking equipment. It smelled great and was beautifully decorated. The generously sized bathrooms and bedrooms were above expectations. We had zero complaints.

Clean, comfortable and well appointed home. Loved walking into Frankfort and along the beach. Terrific weekend with friends attending a wedding nearby. Will be back!

We loved this house! Great fire pit set up with a hammock in a tranquil backyard. House was clean, kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to prep meals during the week. We appreciated the extra bikes and beach chairs and the short walk down the road to tennis courts and basketball courts. Check in was a breeze and easy to communicate with management.

Very nice house in town worked out quite well. Main bedroom was luxurious with walk in closet, 2 sink, separate tub and shower bathroom. Conveniently located for beaches, and sights. Kitchen has lots of cabinets and well provided, but we could have used couple more pans. The property manager was outstanding and went out of her way which helped with a couple of minor things. Everyone enjoyed the time and we hope to return.

We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the easy communication with the property manager. Bedrooms are large and spacious, with plenty of storage space. Nice touches throughout to make our vacation comfortable. The basement was a nice space for the teenagers. We walked or biked into Frankfort daily - perfect on the 4th of July! We also used the fire pit for s'mores. The location was also great for relatively quick drives into Beulah, Empire, and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Overall, great house, great town, great times. We'd rent here again.
