Find my full review in the images. I cannot recommend this property to anyone based on my experience
Firstly, upon arrival, I realized there was no 3G or 4G signal in the area, making it difficult for me to access emails and find the code to the lockbox. Although I eventually found the Wi-Fi code on the fridge, there was no mention of the Wi-Fi address, leading to further confusion. After multiple attempts, I managed to connect to the Wi-Fi, but this wasted valuable time. The noise coming from the fridge was incredibly loud and could be heard from the lounge. This was particularly problematic for me as I had planned to work remotely during my four-day stay. Seeking a solution, I contacted the owner, who referred me to a member of their staff. She explained that they knew about the noisy fridge and had recently purchased a new fridge, which was in the spare bedroom upstairs due to challenges installing it. She suggested that I turn off the noisy fridge and use the one in the upstairs bedroom instead. Once I resolved the fridge situation, I proceeded to explore the rest of the property. Unfortunately, I was met with disappointment once again. There was a strong musty and smoky smell lingering in every room, which made the environment unpleasant. The sofa was uncomfortable and noticeably dipped, while a small brown chair was impractical to sit on. Both bedrooms had poor-quality mattresses with noticeable springs, making them far from comfortable to sleep on. Additionally, the bathroom exhibited poor conditions, including a dirty shower seal, dirty grouting, and overall lack of cleanliness. Feeling quite dissatisfied, I messaged the owner to express my concerns. Although I initially didn't mention the issues with the bathroom, the lady I spoke to regarding the fridge reached out to me soon after. After explaining my concerns, she sincerely apologised and offered me a full refund. She assured me that she understood my concerns and would arrange the refund with booking.com, requiring no action from my side. She even said I could contact her for further assistance.
Accepting the offer of a full refund, I decided to find alternative accommodation in Brighton instead of heading home immediately. However, to my surprise, a few hours later, I received a message from booking.com stating that the owners had changed their minds and would not provide a full refund, claiming that my concerns were not significant enough. This contradicted the initial offer I had received, which had influenced my decision to book a hotel in Brighton. I reminded both the owner and booking.com about the initial refund offer and expressed my disappointment. Unfortunately, the owner disputed what had transpired, suggesting that I had misunderstood the conversation and even accused me of fabricating details. Recognising that there may have been miscommunication with their staff, I requested confirmation from the owner that the initial refund offer was made. However, he continued to dispute what had transpired. The owner eventually offered me £75, which was an insult considering that I had paid £390 for the booking Frustrated with the situation, I spent approximately three hours on the phone with booking.com in an attempt to resolve the issue. However, cancelling the booking would have resulted in additional fees on top of what I had already paid, putting me in a worse position. I found booking.com's ability to resolve the situation as a third-party operator disappointing and lacking in adequate customer protection. In response, I have now contacted my credit card company to recover the costs of the booking and filed a complaint with booking.com to address the unsatisfactory handling of the situation

Really enjoyed and really good value for money
the communication with the host was very good, we had difficulties finding the Wi-Fi but they got back to us within 5 mins. we found the whole flat very clean
A bit out of the city centre so it was a bit difficult to get an Uber

had most of the things you need
small things like pictures show towels in bed but in fact no towels at all so had to go out and buy towels. no big issue but pictures shouldn’t lie. A little worn out in general
