About this chalet rental
This is a large, spacious and comfortable apartment for
The apartment is set over 4 floors - ground, 1st and 2nd, plus a basement.
In the basement there is a full laundry facility and a large family games/sitting room with billiard table and a bar (the smallest pub in Tirol!)
On the ground floor there is a cosy sitting room (Stube) and a large family farmhouse kitchen. The ground floor also has one double bedroom with en-suite shower room (wheelchair friendly, with Jack & Jill doors) and also a separate WC.
On the 1st floor there is one twin and one double bedroom, and up the 2nd floor is a fabulous large quad bedroom.
There is a large family bathroom on the 1st floor and also a separate WC.
The large family kitchen/dining room was extended and remodelled in 2019.
Haupthaus guests have shared access to the outdoor SAUNA and HOT TUB, installed new in 2018. Guests also have access to the shared ski entry (beside the garage) and use of the ski store and boot warmer facilities in the boot room.
Dorf30 is a half timber traditional Tyrolean family home, originally built c.1730 - the 30th house in the village - and was the local carpenter's home.
Dorf30 nestles in a beautiful setting just a very short stroll from the village centre (1 minute!) and the ski lifts (5 minutes max in boots!). There is a lovely garden, great views and a very warm "family home" atmosphere.
This is one of two holiday units in the building of Dorf30. The largest is this one, and there is also a 1 bedroom flat, the Garden Apartment. These two units can be rented individually or together, to create a single inter-connected home for larger groups.
Dorf30 has been the subject of a sympathetic restoration & renovation program over many years, but is finished now!
2016 saw a major external renovation of the wood and replacement of all the balconies.
In 2018 we renovated the garden hut, and initially moved our old sauna cabin out there. We also installed the outdoor sunken Whirlpool to create our very own mini "wellness centre" - available for all our guests!
The 2019 project's Pièce-de-Résistance has to be the creation of the fabulous new custom-built Old Wood & Glass sauna in the garden hut. Well in my mind it is anyway, I'll let you be the judge!
We offer FREE Unlimited Internet Access throughout both apartments.
Winter - Skiing: The house is just a short stroll from the first lift of the Ski Welt system - about 100 lifts and 250km skiing. It is literally across the road and past the small local car park. For most of the season you can ski right back to the house.
Summer: Going is a summer activity paradise! Within a short walk, cycle or drive from the house there are many different swimming pools and lakes, hiking trails, cycleways, off-road mountain bike routes, golf, horse riding, fishing, paragliding, canyoning, kayaking, children's activity parks, summer sledging and tennis.

Lovely house with super facilities. We were 8 - my husband, myself, our four kids (14,13,11,10) and my nephew and niece. The kids loved the hot tub and table tennis and we loved the location right in the village, 2 mins walk from the supermarket and a few restaurants. Beautiful panoramic walks up on the mountain but the highlight for us was Badesee Going - the local village lake - with its waterslides and central jumping platform.
Inside the property was lovely and clean, set over 4 floors with the quad room right at the top. This was unusual as the 4 beds are in little niches behind privacy curtains off what feels more like a central corridor with the staircase than room. Given the kids were staying with their cousins and this room arrangement there was therefore a fair amount of running up and down this top flight of stairs and giggling/jumping onto each other in the middle of the night.
Outside you just need to be aware that hot tub, sauna, table tennis and garden are shared with two other properties.

This was our second stay at Joe's place, and hopefully not the last. This house offers anything you could ask for, if you are traveling with a relatively large group of people. Large kitchen with good equipment, numerous WC's & bathrooms, enough beds, billiard room, whirlpool, sauna, you name it... Ski bus is 50m away, or you can reach the first lift in a 300m walk.
Again - thank you Joe and Pat for the amazing vacation

This home is absolutely stunning in every way! From the architecture to the amenities- our expectations were exceeded. Very well set up for large groups or families.
Be a prepared traveler as you will need a car and research what is open and when - you will have an amazing experience!

We‘ve had a wonderful time in Joe‘s house in Going and we absolutely recommend it for your holiday. If there is any chance in the future we would like to go there again and enjoy this nice place!

Our last vacation at Joes place was just outright amazing. We had booked the main house and the smaller garden appartment for our group of 11. The house in itself would have been spacious enough and offers everything you could ever ask for.
Joe was very quick to respond and helpful throughout the whole booking and planning process. Same could be said about Pat on-site.
The house is just amazing. Very spacious and clean. The kitchen offers a big enough table to fit large groups of people, and the kitchen has everything that is needed to cook in large quantaties. The bathrooms and WC are very modern and clean. The bedrooms had a rustic touch, but were very comfy.
Thank you Joe and Pat for our amazing time at your place!

We (two parents and two teenagers) spent a beautiful week at the beginning of November in Joe's house in Going. Originally, we wanted to go there already in 2020, but Covid19 prevented this. We appreciated very much that Joe let us shift our vacation to this year and were very happy that it worked out this year.
The house is very nice renovated and furnished. The kitchen is very large and all the appliances have a high quality. You can see on the small details like the drawer with triangle form or the fridge for the wine that Joe really likes the house.
We had very much fun in the gaming room, at the beginning the kids tried the Wii, but as they saw the fun we had with the pool billiard, they joined us and we had a real great time.
All the furniture in the house shows high quality and of course, the whirlpool in the garden is a real highlight. We had much fun to be in there, when it had the first snow in Going this year.
Of course, November is a very quite time in Tyrol and you need to go to St Johan or Kitzbuehl to find an open restaurant, but that has nothing to do with Joe's house.
We had a real good time and will try to come back next year.

We've just returned from a lovely week in Going staying in this wonderful house. There were 6 of us, 4 adults & 2 kids, and we all had plenty of room to roll around. Loved the games room and hot tub.
My husband would pop out to get us fresh bread each morning from the bakery and any bits needed from the supermarket and we ate in 2 local restaurants during the week, all just a walk down the road.
Lots to do in the area; we visited the local swimming lake 3 out of our 7 days as it was so much for all and had a couple of trips up the mountains.
Joe provided plenty of information for us to find our way around the house and area and Pat was on hand locally for any help/advise.
All in all we had a great stay and would recommend this property to anyone!

Easy checkin process due to detailed outline provided by owner. Good location to various lifts, nice attractions for children nearby, going lake is loads of fun for children less than 10.
Restaurant recommendations from owner are spot-on the local bakery is a must and St Johann has some nice kids indoor activities for rainy days.
Only cons are low door frame heights upstairs, so if you are tall like us you leave with several bruises on your forehead.
Overall very nice experiences.

We used this house with 2 families, each with 2 children. There was more than enough room to accommodate us and plenty of facilities to keep us going for the duration of our stay. The house itself is situated it a small town with tourist information just around the corner and a few restaurants dotted around. The information pack you receive from Joe is very informative and will guide you through your stay either in summer or winter. Great home and location, would definitely recommend it.

We have stayed here as a family of 4 with 2 children under 10. We had two other families join us over the week.
We were all blow away by the house and the area.
The house is really comfortable, it accommodated us with room to spare and there were many games and other things to entertain.
Fortunately for us the weather was amazing and so we spent most of our time outside.
Our days were spent at one of the many Lake pools - in Ellmau or Going or hiking up a mountain.
The lifts are open and at the top are wonderful kid friendly activity places with play parks and trails. The kids walked whilst being entertained. The parents walked and chatted and admired the view.
The food was good, the people hospitable and we were completely taken - we will be back.

We as a family have been visiting the area for years and this is the first time renting a chalet and going self catering. Would STRONGLY recommend it and this property. Ideally placed for facilities , the chalet is ideal for 2 or 3 families to use. It is excellently appointed and it is obvious that the owner is investing in continually refurbishing.
Have booked again for next year and would strongly advise others to consider

What shall i say. Coming to Dorf30 feels like coming to your own home in the mountains. Well equipped for everybodies needs, cosy, clean and well maintained. We were 5 adults and 6 children. By coincidence the owners son Nat took care of our daughter Clara at the superb Skischool Schwaiger. Hope she wasnt to cheeky.😛The skiing area is great and the Access just a 5 minutes walk away. On the other side of the village also just 5min away you'll find also the access to the perfectly prepared back-country-slopes directly beneath the breathtaking massif of the "Wilder Kaiser". Last not least the great cuisine at the Lanzenhof. Food and wine worth every €-cent. Only conclusion to be made: we'll be back.👍

We had a lovely couple of weeks staying in the house during August. We were two families with children and a set of grandparents stayed in the garden flat. If the weather had been better we would have made use of the garden with its summerhouse and facilities for children. The garden flat in particular has a lovely lounge area with log burner which we used most nights (despite it being a summer holiday). It would be great if the main lounge had a burner too! Both kitchens were fully equipped with cooking equipment etc and enough crockery etc. The bedrooms had comfortable beds and were spacious with a great attic area for the children. Parking is very easy outside and it was very useful having a garage area to store our bikes. Lovely small village with a friendly tourist information office on the doorstep. We had a lovely day at the local lake which is superb for children of all ages.

We stayed in this chalet in December 2012 for a week of skiing. The location is excellent (within walking distance to the ski lifts, grocery store, etc.). We were very happy with the house, which had plenty of room for my family and another family (12 people in all). We plan to return to Going and to rent this house again next year.
