We had a great time at the Cozy Cabin in the hills. The house was very clean. Property was beautiful! We would love to come back and stay here again! Thanks for sharing your property with us!

It was a beautiful location and the property was amazing! The host were so welcoming. It was a great place to meet halfway for me and my college friends. Would recommend to others.

As advertised. Perfect location to explore Crazy Horse. Mt Rushmore Custer state park.
Would stay again.

Easy access to all the attractions. Peaceful place for all to enjoy.

It was everything we expected and more.
We went backroad motorcycling in the Black Hills.
This cabin was perfectly centrally located, clean and comfortable.
The hosts had it fully furnished and they were very accommodating.
Went the extra mile for us.

First off you could not ask for better hospitality, Mike and Dulcy went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs. The cabin is in a perfect location away from the busy highways and offers a wonderful relaxing place to enjoy the true beauty of the Black Hills. This was our second summer staying in the Cozy Cabin in the Hills and it just keeps getting better as Mike and Dulcy continue to make it more enjoyable every year.

Our family had a great time staying in this cabin! It was extremely clean upon arrival and had so many thoughtful amenities, such as all the basic necessities like soap, towels, linens, paper towels, etc., as well as less thought of, but extremely helpful items, like fans, lighter/matches, extension cords, books, etc.
Additionally, the cabin itself and the surrounding area was gorgeous. The cabin is spacious and the hilltop neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. Located in Hill City, it's very close to all the major attractions and it was easy to return to after a fun day of play.
Overall, our stay in the cabin turned out to be one of our favorite parts of the trip. Very cozy, comfortable and relaxing. We are already excited to come back and visit again!

A very comfortable and clean property in a fantastic location. Excellent hosts, lots of room. The whole family loved it!

Cabin was just what our family needed for our vacation in South Dakota. Room to spread out yet come together for meals and family games or discussion. Area was quiet and away from traffic yet close to the activities we wanted to do. Lindsey answered any questions we had. Great vacation!

The cabin was well equipped. All appliances were in great shape and working order. Was very clean. Second bathroom was small but useful. The deck was a big hit especially with the children. Did not miss the air conditioning due to shaded and cool temps. Close to major attractions. Only drawback was the sleeping loft. Beds are on the floor no frames. The small bedroom upstairs was comfortable but very tight quarters The ladder to the loft should be relooked at. Very steep and dangerous especially at night. We enjoyed our stay but will look at other options next year only because we like variety and change. Still give it a 5 star.

The place was great.

We had a great time at the property. Check in was super easy. It was very clean, had lots of fun games for the kids, and was in an excellent location. The loft was great for our big kids but I wouldn’t recommend it for children under 8-9. The stairs are extremely steep. Overall we really had a great experience staying here.

We really enjoyed our time in South Dakota and staying in the house made it better
Thank you

This property was very quiet and in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location just outside of Hill City. Host was easy to reach and very helpful. Plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out and having two bathrooms was great. Would stay there again!

The cabin was perfect for our stay while we rode side by sides and atvs throughout the Black Hills.

The cabin was just right for our family. It was clean, quiet and just a short distance from Hill City. We loved it there!

We really enjoyed the stay. If you follow the directions provided, you drive right to the cabin. It was very clean with a great back patio and deck which we took advantage of in the evenings. Hill City is about 5 minutes away and we went to the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. All easy drives. We'd stay here again.

This place is great! We had a really nice time at this cabin and it was absolutely perfect for our family of four. Our boys (4 & 7 years old) had a blast playing baseball in back yard and exploring the abundance of forest that surrounded us.
The location of the cabin is perfect, just a few minutes outside of Hill City. We didn't know it but the location put us in the heart of everything with Rushmore, Custer, Jewel Cave, Reptile Gardens, Crazy Horse, etc. all just about a 20 minute drive away.
We would definitely stay here again, cheers to Dulce & Mike for being great hosts!

Nice cabin nestled in the woods! It was a perfect basecamp for our adventures to Rushmore, Custer, the Badlands, etc.! Everything was great and I highly recommend this place!

Wasn’t the cleanest, lot of little broken things and very outdated. Was very hot while we where there so definitely missed Air conditioning.

Communication with the host is A+! She was very helpful and fast to reply. The map she sent to get to the house was one of the most accurate I’ve ever seen, it was perfect. The house was immaculately clean and ready for our arrival. It had everything you’d need for a stay, all in great condition.
I highly recommend this location and host if you’re in the area!

The property itself was beautiful however, the directions were misleading and rental was hard to find. Not motorcycle/non 4 wheel drive/trailer friendly. Due to the condition of road/goat path, we had to find off site bike parking in Hill City which added additional cost and inconvenience.
4.8
This place is very cool. Although it was a little bit of a challenge to find and get a trailer backed in. We had brought motorcycles and trying to park them safely was difficult, but a very nice property for sure!

Clean great place. Great location

Us four adults came out and rented side by sides and went wheeling. This location was so easy to jump on the trails and such Beautiful evenings on the deck having dinner and drinks. Were surprised there were no bugs to chase us back inside. We will attempt to rent this house again. If we had any questions we could contact the property owner and she would respond right away. A great experience.

The property is very secluded, and all access was smooth. We came in late at night and google had no clue, so thanks for the hand written instructions! Others should be sure to have them saved and ready to use once they hit the Hill City gas station.
Come morning, the property view was breathtaking and peaceful!

The cabin was lovely and secluded. The wild life and woods around the cabin was an added plus! The location was perfect because it was halfway between all the exciting attractions. There were plenty of games for the children and adults. The mid-century furniture and dinner ware made the cabin extra quant. Thanks for opening it up for us. Our son did fall down the stairs twice though. I might have been nice if we had photos of the stair well. It sounds like the clean up requirements have changed. I appreciate that because we had to get out of the house early for Mass.

The property was great. The only hitch was getting a 30ft trailer up to it and parked, but we got it done. Close to trails, town if you forgot anything.

The veiw was spectacular. We have deer in the back yard the ground squirrels everywhere. The kids loved having the own bedroom up stairs away from the adults and like the second living area with TV so they didn't have to watch what we were watching. Very close to all the activities we were wanting to see and do. Great place to stay. Would go again in a heart beat.

Could have been cleaner. Host would not respond timely to voice messages or texts.

The location was quiet and peaceful. We had seven of us total that stayed. 4 adults and 3 kids and we all slept and stayed comfortable. The house had everything we need to prepare food and relax. Thank you for an amazing stay. We hope to come back again and see the things we didn’t get to this trip.
Thanks, The Carter’s

Location was excellent since we had easy access to ATV trails but still close to Hill City for groceries. We appreciated having a dishwasher and laundry area. It should have some type of air conditioning but we were lucky as it was perfect weather. Thanks for allowing our family to stay at this house!

House is In a great location. While dated, everything was in working order. Beds were comfortable. I was worried about no AC, but plenty of shade and cool nights kept house comfortable.

The house is very secluded and spacious. We found a few items in the house indicating that cleaning should have been better. There was a dryer sheet on the floor in one of the bedrooms, another bedroom had someone's medication tray in it, there was lots of dust on a lamp in one bedroom and the coffee pot had not been cleaned. The washer and dryer were very helpful although it took some time to figure out how to operate the washer. The upstairs bedrooms would be great for youngsters but were essentially inaccessible to the 60+ year old members of our group.

I cannot say enough complimentary things about this property. It was perfect for us. Although finding this place might be challenging after dark, we loved how secluded it was.
The kids (ages 8-18) loved how vintage and quirky this property was, from the sleeping loft to the piles of old games. And yes, the loft was a bit challenging to climb into on the inside, but we all loved that.
This place struck the perfect balance between convenience and rusticity. It was fully equipped with kitchen and grilling supplies, movies on VHS to watch, and a nice bathroom with a new washer and dryer. We appreciated finding walking sticks for our trek up Black Elk Peak, and we liked exploring the Black Hills National Forest which the property backs into.
Thank you for making our vacation fantastic and comfortable. We would definitely come back here.
