The cottage is located walking distance to Dennis Port’s downtown (7 min walk) where you’ll find great restaurants and pubs, convenience stores, breakfast, pizza, ice cream, and much more. Ditch the car and walk to dinner or to get ice cream after a long day at the beach! The cottage is a 5 minute drive or .7 miles down the road the cottage is on. There are beaches in both directions from the house and many to choose from. Enjoy the 16 different beaches Dennis has to offer with a weekly beach pass. Dennis is known for having some of the most beautiful beaches on the cape - you can visit a different one each day!
The house comes fully equipped for family beach days with beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, and many more beach accessories that we provide for your use. You can pack light and use our storage shed full of beach accessories to load the car or the provided beach caddy to head to the beach!
The cottage is Mid-cape, meaning it’s centrally located to visit many of the other beautiful quaint Cape Cod towns all within a short drive from the cottage. This includes ferries to Martha’s Vineyard in nearby Hyannis (10 miles from the cottage) or the ferry to Nantucket (5 miles from the cottage)
The cottage - living space
The cottage is updated and decorated with modern amenities, while maintaining the cottage’s original cape charm. Enjoy AC, fast free wifi, flat screen TVs, cable with all the channels you can imagine, a DVD player with a collection of classic and recent movies for a rainy day or a family movie night. The house comes fully equipped with all linens provided, toilet paper, paper towels, and a fully stocked kitchen. The kitchen has all you’d need to prepare a meal for the family or pack lunch for the beach, including spices, a lobster pot, microwave, toaster, pots and pans, plastic bags, tin foil, and much more. There is a mini-washer/dryer in the closet of the larger bedroom with provided detergent and fabric softener. Beach towels for the whole family are also provided.
Outside you’ll find an outdoor grill and several lounging and eating areas throughout the yard. Relax below the 50 foot pine trees surrounding the backyard, tucked away from the street with your own private fenced yard. The property was perfectly advertised, fully equipped relaxation, and afforded my adult daughter the ideal location for exploring the cape, while enjoying the town and beaches of Dennis Port. The amenities and the thoughtful suggestions/notes were amazing and made our short stay much easier than expected. Cozy and comfortable, it directly contributed to the a great, but short vacation.
While the property was superb, I cannot say enough about the hosts. Warm, friendly, and helpful, they responded immediately with helpful info, making us feel welcome.
Highly recommended!

We stayed here to attend a wedding in Harwichport. The location was ideal. So close to everything. Great restaurants within walking distance. Loved the outdoor patio space for morning coffee. Thanks Kate for the great communication and for letting us know we could check in early!!

My girlfriends and I had the best long weekend at Kate's place. The cottage was very cute and in a nice central location!

Quaint little cottage. Perfect location close to the Dennis and Dennisport beaches and so many excellent restaurants too! The fire pit at the end of the night in the private fenced in yard (with our dog on vacation with us) was the perfect ending to a day on the Cape!

The owner Kate was very accommodating and helpful. She checked in to see if we needed anything during our stay. The cottage was decorated beachy and cute and the air conditioning was newer and worked great. Our dog loved the large fenced in yard. Some of the outdoor furniture needs replacement from age. We traveled with a 2 year old and 5 year old. It was difficult for the four of us to feel comfortable in such a small place. But we only used the house to shower and sleep. Like others have said the house had a slight musty smell that my five year old kept complaining about. Not sure why only in the one room. Don’t bring a lot of clothes because we all had to live out of our suitcases. I would recommend this cottage for a shorter stay. The downtown area is a far walk for a young family and not as charming as other towns nearby. (Nothing worth going to in our opinion). The house is on the border of Harwich. If you are exploring the whole cape, the location is centrally located. A hour to Provincetown and 20 minutes to Chatham and 20 minutes to Hyannis. Parking was great and the neighborhood felt safe and quiet. Thanks Kate! Good luck with your unit.

This place was perfect for us. Our two puppies had a blast in the yard sniffing all the new smells while we hung out by the fire pit and made smores at night. The place was clean and comfortable, and close to many really cute stores, bakeries, restaurants and beaches.

We were quite happy with our stay at the cozy little house with our kids. Both kids had their own beds and my wife and I enjoyed the large bed. Our host was very accommodating to allow us to look through the sheds for both properties to find Bikes or other games/activities for the kids. There were also chairs for the beach and umbrellas.
The only downside was the shed could use a good cleaning and organizing. There were a few rusty items and we had to sort through a few things that could use replacing. The house was wonderful but also showing a bit of age in the bathroom with a bit of a musty smell. Regardless the whole stay was very nice and we would certainly do it again.

We loved staying here! There was everything you would need here - beach stuff, tons of bikes, a chimnea and fire pit, tons of outdoor seating, but also items inside like spices, movies, games, towels, soaps, etc. The yard was very big and fully fenced. Communication was always very timely and the owners were incredibly nice and helpful! This was a really amazing place to stay!

The house was as expected but there was a musty smell and lots on ants in the kitchen at the end of our stay (we kept the dishes/counter/floors clean). The bikes and yard games provided need some love (modt were broken). The neighborhood was not as charming as the rest we visited and not as walkable/bikable for our age kids (7,5).

Loved this cottage! Beautifully decorated with all kinds of interesting touches. Cute and cozy, perfect for a couple or young family. Loved the fenced in, very private yard where we used the fire pit each evening. The cottage is centrally located to everything. We enjoyed the many available beaches and biked the entire length of the Cape Cod rail trail. Kate made sure that our three day escape was perfect. Would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back.

The name of this house is Cape Escape and that’s exactly what we did! Perfect location, quiet neighborhood, excellent hosts! We were able to escape for a long weekend at the beach before the craziness of back to school starts. I would happily book again!

This cottage was the perfect vacation get away for my husband and our 2.5 year old and 9 month old. The cottage itself is small but lovely and all the space used well. It had everything we needed for amenities, which made packing for the crew much easier. We lucked out with perfect weather so got to make use of the awesome yard and outdoor shower. We ate most of our meals on the patio. The location is perfect and in walking distance of groceries, restaurants, a liquor store, and a little bakery. Kate was excellent at communicating and even let us check in early. She responded almost immediately to a question I had. We will definitely try to rent again next year!

I stayed here with my husband and teenage son for 4 nights, and we enjoyed it very much! This lovely cottage is exactly as pictured; super cute, clean, comfortable, and private! The many little, extra touches certainly add to its charm, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The location was great as we wanted to be centrally located to explore all of the cape during our few days here.
The owner was very responsive, and we had great communication through the booking and check in/out processes. I would highly recommend Cape Escape!
