The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas is a beautiful property. The beach right outside the hotel is nice and wide, and the snorkeling on the reef right offshore is fabulous. The resort has all the amenities you could want. It is very much children-friendly, with kiddie pools and activities. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lahaina is close-by, and a Westin shuttle is very convenient to get into town and avoid driving and parking. The rooms themselves are fairly standard, but nice. We had a total of eight people, including two adult couples and four children. The one criticism I have is that it was not completely clear that our two-bedroom oceanfront condo was actually two separate condos that were combined. There was one door leading off the main hallway into a small foyer, with two doors opening off the foyer, obviously to give the option of renting to two separate parties. The two spaces are completely separate, with separate kitchens, and have separate balconies (lanai's) that do not communicate. It may be good for privacy, but does not give the feel of a large, two bedroom unit. This situation deserves more clarification as you consider booking. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would stay there again.

We loved it! We have teenage children and they loved all of the amenities the resort offered (tennis, pickle ball, gym, sauna, etc…). The grounds were beautiful and we loved the set up of the room.

This hotel was fantastic! The pool area goes very close to the ocean. The boardwalk in between the ocean and hotel was great - we went on walks, jogging every day and had great views of the ocean.
This hotel is very family oriented for kids of all ages. The pool is fun and inviting with lots of space if anyone just wanted to relax.
The rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is very well maintained. We can't wait to go back!

Resort was pristine and beach was beautiful. Service was excellent. Shuttle service available, grocery store on site, activities for everyone. Pirate pool for the kids and adult pool, along with waterslide. Short walk to the beach.

We reserved two, two-bedroom villas for our family of twelve and had a great vacation together. Although they could not guarantee the rooms would be close together when we made the reservation, they noted our request and we were very pleased to have adjacent rooms when we checked-in. The pools were great for the various ages of our grandchildren. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, professional and always very helpful.
The rooms were clean and well-equipped with all that we needed for our stay. We used the kitchen and the laundry provided in the rooms and everything worked well. Its was also helpful to have access to the shuttle that operates between the other properties in Kaanapali.

Wonderful time celebrating Christmas at this amazing resort! Lots of snorkeling in front of the resort. I love how it is a condo resort yet you can still go to a restaurant or order a drink if you feel like it!! A great break for moms who do the cooking!!

We had a large family reunion for 20+ people including kids. The resort had plenty of common space with pools for everybody and bbq grills. The location was convenient and accommodations were very nice and comfortable.

This property is simply one of the best for traveling with family, and we are extremely picky. We had my family, sister and her family, our mom, and the two bedroom lock off was perfect for all of us!! We literally had some of the best snorkeling right out the door of our room, literally saw the biggest turtle of our lives right off the beach in front of the hotel. Every single day we saw different sea life there. We had taken a snorkel trip over to Lanai and the snorkeling here was as good if not better! Beaches are pristine in this location, and the convenience to great restaurants and shops was a huge plus. The little cafe in the lobby area had the best cinnamon rolls we'd even eaten, we ordered them every morning for pick up! We literally got home and have booked again through VC for next Xmas, truly nothing like spending Christmas in Maui!!!

Staying at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas was an amazing experience. Everything about our stay was exceptional. The rooms were large, clean, comfortable and in great condition. Loved hearing the ocean surf from our rooms, and the view was spectacular. Loved the location, the boardwalk made it easy for us to walk Whalers Village and other resort areas easily. We rode the shuttle each day or night to any location we wanted to visit in Lahaina. All restaurants at Westin were great as well. Overall, we would loved to stay here again.

Very happy with the rental.

Overall okay review; condo itself was good. Family of 3 kids & 2 adults had a corner 2-unit. Overlooking highway & parking lot was loud & not Hawaiian escape-inducing. But amenities were fine; size comfortable. The size of the resort is really big relative to pool options. Pool in south building is small considering # of people there; only 4 jacuzzis on entire resort for what must be thousands of people. Beach is really small--not wide at all. Probably wouldn't come back to Kaanapali at all based on small road to the area and traffic implied.

We thoroughly enjoyed this resort. The condo was really nice and the hotel amenities were great. We ate in the restaurant and bar near us, used the pool, weight room and laid on the beach. We didn't go this year and I really missed it.

Beautiful setting in the middle of the Kaanapali Beach area. Rooms were very accommodating. Beach access was excellent. Snorkeled daily off the beach as it was less than 10 meters offshore. Snorkeling with a turtle was a highlight. Kids really enjoyed the sunrise bike ride from the crater and taking surf lessons in Lahaina. Drive around the NW corner of Maui had some great views and experiences. 80 degrees F daily. Many nice grills to use around complex which worked out great with a large family vacation. Christmas on the beach with Santa arriving by canoe made for some great photos and a special day. Great family vacation.

Our stay at this resort was our first family Christmas vacation. We are a family of eight. My husband and I, our two sons and their spouses and two granddaughters, 6 and 2 1/2. We stayed in adjoining suites. One studio for one son and his family. They shared a king bed and pullout for the kids and a mini kitchen. Our one bedroom suite had a king bed with a balcony, and a pullout for our other son and wife. The only criticism we had was the pullout bed was not at all comfortable.
Our suite had a full kitchen for meals and our Christmas dinner.
The swimming pools were wonderful and clean, kids pool, hot tub and water slide. The beach was a short walk past the pools. Beautiful sandy beach, miles to walk and best of all, snorkelling right from the beach. Perfect!
The hotel staff were always helpful and friendly. One highlight for our granddaughters, was the visit on Christmas Eve, from one of Santa's elves.
A great vacation. One to remember.

Absolutely beautiful resort. It was just the right size, restaurants were fabulous and the rooms were lovely. Friendly and helpful staff as well. I wish the fitness center was a bit larger, but it had a bit of everything including Peleton bikes! I would go back in a minute!!

The beach is directly in front of the resort. Perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Kids played in the waves and used boogie boards. The resort was clean and comfortable. The rooms were quiet and beds were comfortable. Restaurant was not great but the BBQ area worked well. I would stay here again.
