About this house rental
Sandy beach and an indigo blue ocean engulf Sand Castle on the Beach, an exclusive Morro Bay estate vacation home. Forget your worries in this spacious and serene living space. The custom home is located in the Cloisters, a prestigious Central Coast development overlooking 80 acres of open preserve.
San Castle on the Beach is a 2954 sq. ft. custom home just steps to the sand. The home boasts three large bedrooms and 3.5 baths to accommodate your expected and unexpected guests.
The great room is the heart of the home, offering comfy lounging furniture, a large screen TV and a rustic cobblestone fireplace, ideal space to cozy up for a movie or posture for a competitive game of Scrabble.
The large gourmet kitchen is equipped with chef grade stainless steel appliances to include double ovens, an industrial size refrigerator, a gas stovetop, a microwave, a trash compactor and a dishwasher. The granite island and countertops offer plenty of extra space to prepare meals and seat guests. Extensive kitchen cabinet space provides plenty of food storage for those of you that enjoy cooking. The kitchen area can comfortably host a party of 10 guests. If you prefer, we can recommend chefs in the area that will cook for you!
The master suite highlights an inviting king size bed, a spacious walk-in closet and a bubbling jacuzzi.
Two additional bedrooms and coordinating bathrooms add to this vacation home's appeal. Unwind after a walk to Morro Rock in Sand Castle On the Beach's large fenced in backyard.
Outdoor dining for six guests and a nearby wood burning fire pit will keep you warm on cool evenings. A backyard bbq enables cooking outdoors, while taking in the salty, ocean breeze.
A large two-car garage with additional bonus space for storing bikes and beach gear add to this beach home's value.
The home has a ranch-style layout (one level) making it accessible for guests with limited mobility. The listing is for two full time occupants. The home will accommodate up to 10 visiting guests for weekend gatherings with family and friends.
Day excursions to Hearst Castle or Big Sur are very doable, and will expose you to some of California's most stunning cliffs and secret beaches. Or, you may want to just grab the beach chairs, towels and umbrella and walk down to the beach and build your own sand castle.
The owner will consider one dog, under 45 pounds, non-shedding. There is a $225 non-refundable pet fee.
The home owner requires a move-out cleaning and a mid-month cleaning. The mid-month cleaning is listed under Linen Fee.

This is a great vacation rental house. In a great location, whether you are wanting to go to the beack or do some sight seeing and shopping at the local shops. The house itself is newer and has great features for a rental: large family room, nice outdoor sitting area, great master bedroom, nice open floorplan kitchen, etc. And the rental company was very easy to work with. I highly recommend it.

I want to be very clear this review is strictly about the house, not Seven Sisters. Terri and her staff were great to work with and very accommodating of my last minute booking. As for the house, it is quite nice, and I'd previously rented another house on same block so I knew the location is great. But, it was lacking in a few ways. First, it lacked certain necessities of a house of its caliber and cost. Simply things, like a clothes iron and ironing board, and basic kitchen utensils, like measuring cups and kitchen shears. It also had no curtains or blinds in the living room, which I found odd as the neighbors can look right in 24/7. Living room furniture was old and not very comfortable. Second, the primary bathroom was very nice, but the water heater didn't have enough hot water to fill up the amazing bathtub. Found that out the hard way. An on demand water heater would solve that issue. Third, the washer and dryer were quite old, and I get that it's easier and cheaper to service older models, but they made my clothes look old and worn out after using them.Fourth, the bed in the master bedroom was simply not acceptable for a house of this caliber and cost. The mattress was ancient, and the 4" thick piece of foam thrown on top was incredibly uncomfortable. I had to remove the foam and buy a mattress topper just to make it tolerable. I would not rent this home again strictly because of the bed being so bad.
