Amazing facilities and staff
9.0 / 10.0
The hotel is situated right on the beach in a beautiful and quiet part of Phang Nga. It's a large property secluded by coconut and palm trees everywhere.
The natural hot spring and the cold pool are the highlights and make the hotel unique.
Room was a little basic and would be improved by a separate bathroom and toilet

Breakfast was great with lots of variety, including some vegan options. The room was spacious and comfortable. The grounds were glorious to wander round. Staff were friendly and attentive.
The pool area was very busy with day guests, but after their buses left it was lovely and peaceful. The gym was vey dated and unused including rusty equipment and not very clean. Food at the Thai restaurant was average.

Staff , amazing yes that includes James Bond
Resort, well kept
Kids loved the fish in the ponds
Kids liked the bikes.
Kids liked looking for wildlife at night
Great for a very short break.
Hotel very isolated
Having to pay higher than usual charges for taxis arranged by hotel.
Need more transport options
Breakfast selection could be better
The gym is awful
Lack of evening restaurants
Beach is deserted. What a shame.
Networking natai beach also very remote, honestly, there is nothing to do there.

Last but not least busladingen vol Chinezen en Russen.

The hotspring pool and corresponding cold pool was a good experience, and the saving grace of the location.
The reception staff were friendly and spoke good English.
The seaview rooms were nice, clean and comfortable.
Let me just preface this with the I don't do reviews very often... Only when experiences far exceed my expectations... Or when they far underwhelm...
I'm afraid to say that overall the experience was not good at the hotspring spa and resort..
While this resort may have once been a 5 star hotel, it's standards must have fallen far below this mark, and in several areas.
Bad experiences tend to hyper focus my sensitivity to other misgivings or poor service quality, so as one thing goes wrong I start to notice more and more things wrong with the hotel. I'll attempt to summarize my experience here.
While the reception staff were friendly and spoke good English, the majority of the rest of the staff seemed completely untrained and spoke zero English. Many (but not all) were shockingly unfriendly, unattentive, very slow and downright rude. A key interaction I had early on in a toilet was a member of staff asking if he could get a cigarette off me?! I really don't think that is appropriate behavior in a 3 or 4 star, let alone 5 star! This gave an early indication of the lack of staff training and was not a good early sign... And it unfortunately seemed to snow ball from there.
Ultimately I feel that the interaction with staff is what makes a resort. Irrespective of services available, the quality of the staff can make any star rated resort appear much better or much worse.
Another area, which I don't think is the full responsibility of the hotel, but do contribute to the experience, are the guests. During our 1 night stay the hotel seemed to be exclusively populated with groups of Chinese and Russian, some of which were very rude. Bus loads of more Russians also arrived in the mornings to gain pool access to the hot springs (there are day passes available to people not staying in the hotel). We had our swims early and late to avoid these crowds.
The overall food was ok.

The location of the breakfast buffet was excellent and the food was good although I would have liked to have cheese available.
I thought the parking was a bit unclear. It would be good if there were a designated parking area with clearly marked places for parking our car. Otherwise, things were great.

Great place, well kept area. Very friendly staff.
Delicious food in the restaurant, good varied breakfast.
I'll be back with pleasure :)
White bread for breakfast is too dense and not very tasty, I didn’t find more minuses for myself

nice place
the closed villas to hot springs were old
1.0 / 10.0
lobby
room, pool was dirty, cigarette butts in room, no 2nd bed
5.0 / 10.0
rooms were large and clean
staff seemed annoyed when you asked for anything, took over an hour to get an iron even though we explained we had to leave (we were going to a wedding) and needed it urgently and had called 3 times. it is more like a stop on a day trip than a hotel. several groups a day would come by and take over the hotel then go again - we couldn’t get a spot round the pool because of it

privacy
cleanness. the garden and the sun bed were very dirty. pool light didn’t work. also, the booking email clearly said that the check out at 13:00, but I had got two calls to say that I need to check out at 12:16 and 12:41.

Plenty of choice. Eggs etc were cold unfortunately. My only criticism
Choice of food on an evening is limited

The fact it was large, green, clean and deserted, even abandoned some buildings. And ofcourse the hotspring pool set up. one of the most welcoming lobby’s I’ve seen.
the keycard operation was convoluted and needed servicing.
6.0 / 10.0
laid out beautifully as a resort, pools were large and clean. food was a very nice standard. quieter being on the mainland and not on the more touristy island.
the seals on doors could be tighter as we got to know some local wildlife closer than expected. but knowing we’re on the edge of a rainforest it’s not really an issue.

Service tried their best to fix things by giving me a pool villa but I didnt even stay the night because it was too late to make me feel better... and the food was really good though!
Aircon is on eco mode making me sweat and had to fight with my girlfriend from 5 am till 9 am because the temperature wouldnt stop going back to 25 degrees celcius as the hotel set it up like this as every 30 min it would go back to 25 degrees while it is 35 degrees outside i felt like i was in an oven....
The design of the modern rooom is non sense at all.... very dissappointed... instead of being relaxed i was stressed the whole 2 nights...

the room was nice, we had a sea view modern. the beach is fantastic but strong currents.
the pool gets busy with outside people, buses turned up each day. was there 3 days..
the cost of food and drinks for the standard is awful. staff wasn’t helpful.
the place is slowly being refurbed but it looked dated in places and really needs some maintenance. other than the new modern block.
Worst food had in Thailand. The price of the food for the standard of it is disgusting. I’ve never had such a awful pizza in my life. The food was cold and breakfast wasn’t great at all. Feels like your a bit stuck as nothing in the area, plan to get scooters outside the hotel.
The hotel didn’t have any scooters available and seemed unwilling to help other than offer over priced taxi service.

the small freezer isn’t working properly and should be had more bikes available
9.0 / 10.0
the public pool was clean along with the hot spring and ice bath, our villa was clean after we changed rooms and the private pool was also clean, the staff where very helpful and friendly and also let us have a late checkout for travelling home
our first villa was very outdated and the pool area along with the pool was not clean, we had a ant colony outside that managed to get inside the room and the shower was not clean. we then changed room due to this and found a wasp nest outside, however this was quickly removed thanks to the staff.

The room that we stayed, very nice and clean! it’s so comfortable.
At night, it was too dark. not enough lights.
6.0 / 10.0
food and cocktails were not really good 🥺
5.0 / 10.0
The hotel has potential, the staff friendly
The water from the taps just smelt so bad. So bad. I'm not sure if it's just the villa's that are like that, but we had two villa's and they were both the same. Also, theres normally a pool of water as you enter the villa with rocks to step on to get to the villa. The pool was empty at the front and you could easily misstep on the rocks
