The property was clean, modern and easy to access. The accommodations were excellent and exceeded our expectations. It felt like a home away from home.
The water pressure was low.

Pretty much everything. The whole house was beautiful. The area it was located in is gorgeous. The room was clean and very well put together. And it wasn't too far from App State.
The hot water could be a little spotty, and the parking wasn't always easy for a large truck.

The stay was amazing. This is my second time staying here with my family and it was really nice. It can be weird staying with strangers in the same house, but everyone is very friendly. My children really enjoyed their time at the house.

House was beautifully decorated and clean. Great location between Boone and Blowing Rock.
No yard at all and parking was tight when house is totally booked. Paper products were low to none. We had to go purchase toilet paper. There was only a partial roll in our bathroom. No facial tissues.

Location close to Watauga Med Center (~8 min) and downtown Boone, also close to Blowing Rock. Beautiful forest surroundings. Very pristinely clean and perfectly decorated. Looks just like the photos. Highly recommended. It is a B&B style and other guests share the common area/kitchen. Private bathrooms in the rooms. Pancakes and eggs provided- recommend going to a market to get some essentials if planning to cook other meals. Truly Enjoyed my 2 week stay!
Wasn’t aware at first the kitchen/common areas were shared but it worked out just fine.

It was a beautiful place.
The room was cold, with no opportunity to raise temp. Not much room for luggage. Stingy coffee, creamers, no sugar or stirrers. One small box of kleenex. Very cold and impersonal. Normally we would have been welcomed with a bottle of wine, a binder of recommendations, Overpriced for the amenities offered.

Breakfast was fine.
I have communicated directly with the owner about a minor matter.

Great location! Comfy bed! Nice common areas, able to use kitchen and refrigerator! Had a tv in the bedroom, which we didn't expect. Met the owners, a nice couple. I enjoyed a drink treat they offered in honor of my birthday.
Stayed in Lavender Loft. Noisy air conditioner , fortunately, only had to use it for 2 of the 4 nights. Slippery tub/ shower....we bought a bath mat for that the first day. Loose toilet seat. Couldn't find sugar for the coffee provided, only Splenda. Could have used more towels.

Beautiful interior. Quiet. De orated wonderfully. Good communication with owner. Very comfortable!
Enterance and parking could be better. No breakfast food (such as cold cereal, milk or toast).

The layout of the house, specifically the reading nook. Absolutely gorgeous!
I wasn’t aware that the house was a shared space before I booked the property.

Clean and quiet place that was close to everything but also away from everything if that makes sense. Very well taken care of and clean. In my opinion one of the best places to stay if your going to the Boone Blowing Rock area.

Beautiful and modern place with great views. Reasonably priced. Loved the breakfast options and the shared kitchen is a plus.
The shower space was on the smaller side.

The Wanderer guesthouse is hands down the best vacation stay for anyone seeking a cozy, comfortable, and truly unforgettable experience. With its charming decor, stunning views, and unbeatable location, the Wanderer guesthouse exceeded all my expectations and made my stay in the Blue Ridge mountains truly unforgettable!
The accommodations themselves were absolutely adorable - every little detail had been thoughtfully curated to make me feel right at home. The space was clean and comfortable, with plenty of natural light and an inviting atmosphere that made it the perfect place to unwind and relax.
What really sets the Wanderer apart, however, were the hosts. Jon and Erin were incredibly communicative and hospitable! You can tell from the moment you walk in, that they have gone out of their way to make sure you have everything you could possibly need.
In addition to its cozy accommodations and breathtaking views, the Wanderer guesthouse also boasts a convenient and fully equipped work remote office space, making it the ideal choice for digital nomads and remote workers seeking a peaceful and productive workspace in the mountains.
All in all, I cannot recommend the Wanderer highly enough. If you're looking for a cozy, homey, and incredibly hospitable place to stay in the mountains, this is it. From the comfortable accommodations to the stunning location to the incredible hosts, every aspect of my stay was absolutely perfect.
Everything was great! There were no complaints or anything I wish was different. The Wanderer is truly the best place to stay for those looking for a cozy getaway!

Wow—our time at The Wanderer could not have been better. It’s an perfect location—5 minutes from downtown Blowing Rock, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, but also felt peaceful and secluded in the woods by the stream. Our stay was so memorable—there were so many personal touches that blew us away, from the coffee & chocolates in our room, to the breakfast provided in the morning, to the free slippers included with our stay. It felt like we had a piece of luxury tucked away in the woods! We will stay here every time we come to the high country.
No complaints!
