This property is so, so nice! Couldn’t be any cleaner. Plenty of room inside and out to spread out, whether it’s just 2 or 8. The porch and deck overlooking Lake Catherine is nice and spacious. Plenty of seating for everyone. The fire pit was nice and large. Very private area. Nice yard for kids and pups if you bring them. Far enough off the beaten path to enjoy the peace and serenity of the lake, but usually not more than 15-20 minutes to Hot Springs proper for all the touristy stuff. House is well stocked with most anything you may need. Just bring your personal things and food you may want to have on hand. One of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in. If we had a question about anything, David was so quick to respond. Super nice! Hope we get to come back and bring some of our friends. Thanks for a great stay, David and Linda!

This place was amazing beauty, such a beautiful place and quiet hideaway, we had a girls trip with my mom and sisters and loved everything about this place. Only complaint would be is that I wish I had more days there and my fishing poles were working to fish, lots of fish jumping out of the lake. I would definitely be back with my husband and I know my fishing poles would definitely be working next time I’m there from what David reassured me lol See y’all next time very soon

Met our adult kids for a wonderful retreat weekend. Only wish we could've stayed longer! Hosts were unbelievable, communicated so well and very responsive, even allowed an earlier check in since we had groceries and a dog. Would love to return in the fall for cooler weather or for a spring break. Thanks for a great stay! :)

David was very upfront regarding a tree that had fallen on the fire pit and wouldnt be removed in time for our arrival. He offered the option for us to cancel but I'm so glad we didn't. The house was clean and very well kept. Sitting on the patio in the mornings was AMAZING! Great location if you dont want to be in the middle of the busy city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This homeowner was great to work with and very helpful. He provided information in advance on things to do and places to eat in the area. Also, before we arrived, he let us know about a large tree that had fallen in the yard the night before our arrival, and although he was concerned about this impacting our stay we assured him that we could still enjoy our time. The house was very nice and clean. The best spot was the back deck. You could sit in a chair on the back porch or move down to the deck under the lights and enjoy the view of the lake. If I was out this way again, I would consider staying again.

Our group met for a few wonderful days to get together and celebrate a birthday. The Hoff Lake House was the perfect spot for our get together. The home was nice and clean and the yard is well maintained. We enjoyed coffee on the porch overlooking the lake every morning. One afternoon, we took a couple of the kayaks out for a paddle. We cooked several meals and the home had everything we needed. It’s very private and peaceful. The furniture throughout the house is comfortable. We were just a short ride to Historic Downtown Hot Springs for a day of exploring. David was the perfect host. He communicated quickly and was helpful in directing us during our stay. Book this place, you’ll be glad you did.

We really enjoyed the peace and beauty of the area. The deck, the yard, the lake, the paddleboard, the kayaks, the fire pit.... all were realities I wanted in my getaway and got. The bed was so comfortable, this comes from a person with sciatic inflammation at the time of stay, so i was very relieved when I laid down. I would recommend this stay to anyone. David was very easy to reach and made sure all of the amenities were provided. The price is very comparable to a hotel but with a lot more activities. A hot tub is probably the only thing I missed on my checklist, but I regress. It met all of my families needs.

We had a great time at the lake house. It is in a very quiet location without a ton of boat traffic. Much quieter than nearby Lake Hamilton. The swimming area is great for children as it is shallow and gradually gets deeper. It is a bit grassy though. The use of the kayaks and paddle board are an excellent bonus and we were grateful to have them. Overall a fantastic experience and great place to take the family.

We had a group of 7 friends that met up for a few days to relax and make memories. The Hoff lake house provided the perfect spot for us. The lake was perfect for kayaking and swimming, s’mores by the fire pit, burgers on the grill, coffee on the porch….what more could you ask for. The house was stocked with lots of little extras, even fishing poles. We all enjoyed ourselves and plan to come again.

This property is wonderful and the hosts are the best! The home is spotless and perfectly designed to support a group of people enjoying the lake life! A s’mores station, fire pit, deck with grill, and available water toys such as kayaks, paddle board, and canoe made it a perfect match for my preteen/teen grandsons who loved every minute. The setting is ideal on a wooded completely private property that is still close to restaurants, activities, and stores. You should definitely make this a go to property for any trip to the Hot Springs area!

Grandson, dad & papa wanted a lake vacation so coming to the lakehouse checked the list for all of us. We enjoyed swimming. kayaking and watching the stars at night.

Overall 10/10. The property was easily accessable but very private. The kids had so much fun in the lake, which was shallow enough they could safely tread out pretty far. They were so happy to see canoes and paddle boards, immediately put those to good use. Everywhere we had planned to go was within 20 minutes or less of where we stayed. We visited the wax museum, the gangster museum, adventureworks for a treetop obstical course, botanical gardens, and they felt their first hot water spring. The house had everthing we needed, there was no need to visit a store, unless you want to cook your own meals (I didnt). It was clean and orderly. Each kid got their own bed. The little smore station was so cute and thoughtful. I taught my son to build and extinguish a fire. We were even able to wash our clothes after the lake. All in all it was a great trip, and my kids are already requesting a do over next year.

We had an amazing time at the lake house. The location was perfect and close to everything. We loved being on Lake Catherine. The dock and swimming area were perfect for our kids. It was easy access into the lake and shallow enough for the kids to play. We loved using the kayaks and paddle boards. The house was so clean and neat. It was very spacious for us. It was well stocked with plenty of amenities. We loved having the gate at the entrance to make us feel safe. My girls especially loved the bunk beds. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We are already talking about coming back!

We had a great time on our visit to the Hoff Lake House. The owner was great with communicating with us. The hospitality was great with cute s'mores station and had all the necessities we needed to cook. The backyard is nice and relaxing too.

My family absolutely loved this home, clean and well maintained on the inside and out. The waterfront view was just beautiful! The owner was very quick to respond to any questions and very helpful, they even checked in on us just to see if we needed anything. Home had everything we needed, no need to over pack! The kayaks, paddle board, and canoe was definitely a huge plus, my whole family had a fantastic time on the water! We even got to feed the white ducks out of our hand, my 1 year was just tickled about it! We seen a few deer also. Sitting on the deck in the morning drinking coffee was so peaceful, listening to all the birds, ducks, and geese. We grilled out every evening and had s’mores by the fire pit! This place is one of my new favorites! So glad we got to make many new memories here! Definitely a 10/10 and 2 thumbs up! Other things we did was hike to the waterfall at Lake Catherine State Park, which is also one of my favorite hikes! Very beautiful waterfall and got to see a baby deer! We also went to Magic Springs , which is only 17 minutes away. I don’t recommend go on a Saturday but Sunday was great! HotSprings National Park is also a great hike, you can even drive up to the tower! The natural hot spring is very hot, my kids did not believe me until they seen it!

My family and I had such an amazing time at this property. The owners gave us several great recommendations that we really enjoyed. The place was SO clean and well-stocked. They thought of their visitors in every single room of this place. I felt like it was made just for us! Our favorite part of the property was the lovely fire pit. It was such a relaxing time, and we hope to be back soon!

Met all of our needs for our family. Peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. Goose that lives across the way in cove area comes for breakfast, lunch and dinner promptly along with 3 Peking ducks in mid afternoon. Great fire pit, poles and bait. Deck and BBQ are very well equipped even has giant smoker. Many memories of grandpa and his grandsons sitting and fishing together. Would highly recommend this place...hope to be back again soon. The Hoff's have a great hidden escape.....Owners were readily available for all our questions. Thank you Dave and Linda....😊

This is a beautiful location, great views, beautiful lake and abundant wildlife for photographers. The cardinals, raptors, redhead woodpeckers, chickadees, wrens and wood ducks were great fun to photograph and watch as they began their spring nesting. There are numerous self propelled canoes, kayaks and paddle boards available to use if you want to take to the water. I saw loads of fish but no takers for my soft baits and spinners. The house is a doublewide though you would be hard pressed to realize that without a close look. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, inviting and the s'mores were a real treat! The provided condiments allowed us to make some recipes without having to buy lots of extra things that we wouldn't have been able to take home. The appliances were clean and relatively new, all working well, the bathrooms were clean with extra towels, several beach sized towels had it been weather warm enough to hazard a dip in the lake. The shore is attractive but not a swimming beach for little ones so unless there is a public access somewhere that isn't a real option. For older teens and adults I could see a dip out in the middle of the lake from one of the boats provided but you would want to be a strong swimmer and watchful of boaters as there are many pontoon boats and fishing rigs out there. I understand there are some for rent. The hosts were magnificent texting me unobtrusively twice during the stay to ask if there were any needs unmet (there weren't). Since pets are allowed there were a few hairs UNDER the couch cushions but none on any exposed surfaces we saw (we brought our nonallergenic, non shedding doodledog) so that was a plus for us. As with every place we have ever stayed, VBRO or AB&B there were a couple things that turned up during out stay that I'm sure the owners didn't know about until I informed them. The grill had been used extensively cooking some very fatty meat so when we tried to grill steaks I had to stop and take them inside to finish them else they would have been sooty. As we departed and stripped the linens from the bed I took a double pillowcase off one of the many soft pillows and one of them had some blood stains as if someone had a nosebleed and tried to hide it instead of reporting or cleaning it. I fault the guest more than the owners with this one, I'm sure they were mortified over this given their attention to every other detail. Overall this was an A++ stay at a very reasonable price!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to visit again! David was an excellent host ensuring that we had everything that we needed for our stay. The home was so cozy, well-furnished and equipped, and extremely clean. We loved spending time looking out at the beautiful lake from the amazing porch and deck. There is so much to do at the property. We admired the ducks and geese, kayaked, canoed, fished, sat around the fire pit and made smores. The home is perfectly located for visits to Hot Springs National Park, Garvan Gardens and Catherine State Park. We will cherish the family memories that we made during our stay. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. They had the property ready early so that family members were able to enjoy more time there. The home was very clean and very well stocked. Bedding is comfortable in all rooms. The decor is very cute and modern. We loved the view of the lake from the comfy couch. We absolutely loved the outdoor space with a large yard that goes right up to the lake. The large deck with patio furniture and lighting was the perfect space to enjoy the view of the lake. The lake was low when we went but it is February and we enjoyed being able to walk out onto the lake and see all of the shells. We highly recommend this property!
