The Forest Retreat is a cabin you will find tucked away in the mountains of Lake Cumberland Resort. Searching for a secluded and comfortable oasis from the hectic day-to-day, you have found it! Whether you're sitting on the front porch, or enjoying the hot tub on the private back deck, you are in a quiet, secluded forest area. There is even a creek bed that runs through the back of the property flowing during periods of rain fall producing a wonderful sound of streaming water. No worries about neighbors, but look for wildlife!

This 3BR 2BA cabin offers much for you to enjoy. From an open-concept kitchen with all stainless steel appliances, a convection/gas oven/stove, a Keurig, waffle maker, instant hot water kettle, air fryer, blender, dining, and living room area (with sleeper sofa), with a full-size washer and dryer, a screened-in porch, a gas grill, and a large fire pit! Come and relax in the private hot tub on the screened-in back porch and watch your favorite movie or sports on the TV!

All TV's have a fire stick and have full streaming services, including all premium channels and sports channels! This includes all NFL and college football games, MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA, Soccer and even PPV Events. The whole house Sony stereo system allows for music inside, or on both the front porch or rear deck at the hot tub.

The primary bedroom has a queen size bed and has access to the screened-in back porch with the hot tub. The primary bath has a walk-in shower. The 2nd bedroom is spacious with a king-size bed and an entrance into the second full size bathroom. The 3rd bedroom is cozy and quaint with a queen size bed, reading area with a lounge chair that folds out into a twin size bed.

Relax on the front porch while sitting in the rocking chairs and listen to the birds singing, or the wind blowing through the trees. If you bring your boat, the ramp is approximately one mile from the cabin. The area is also popular with ATV & SXS enthusiasts with miles of trails and even caves within a mile of the cabin. Don't forget to bring your wood for the outdoor fire pit, a great place to spend time with family and friends.
The resort is gated with security and features multiple pools, tennis and Pickle Ball Court. The cabin features cornhole, ladder ball and pickleball equipment.

The cabin is pet friendly and to our pet-friendly guests, we have a Chocolate Lab, so your fur babies may pick up her scent. The front door is equipped with a storm/screen door with a doggie-door so your pets can access the gated front porch.

Fantastic place to stay for our family vacation! The home was very clean and well organized so everything was easy to find and well maintained. The home was close to other amenities like the pool and marinas. I would come back again to stay and relax!!

If you are looking for a place to get away from the city noises and traffic, this is the place to stay. Sitting around the firepit listening to the sounds of The whipperwill bird singing his song to to waki g up early morning watching the red-eye vireo catching bugs to feed her babies. The inside of the cabin is just beautiful. The main bedroom has a bathroom with a walk in shower, along with a doorway leading to the hot tub. The second bedroom has a door to the hall bathroom and a 3rd bedroom accessible through the second bedroom. This setup was perfect for our stay. And there are rolling barn doors for bathroom and in the main bedroom. Just awesome. I could go on and on with nothing but praise about this property. The owners are great. Responded quickly to our questions. We would definitely book this property again.

Cabin is off by itself and the whole property inside and out is spotless. The only sound is what nature provides. The internet was also great..

Our stay at the cabin was wonderful. The cabin looked exactly as photos showed. The kitchen was fully stock plus extras. They also had beach towels for the hot tub. I would definitely choose this cabin again and recommend it to friends and family.

Stay was great. House was very charming and had a great up to date kitchen. A perfect getaway for 2 or a family. Had plenty of movie selections and the TV with the hot tub was icing on the cake! Would definately recommend

The cabin was perfect for some R&R. Clean and well stocked with all the necessities. Not a lot to do in the area outside of hiking or boating. We had 2 teenagers that would have liked some other local attractions, like mini golf or go-carting. Plan on driving 30-60 mins to the closest grocery store, restaurant or hiking trail. Cumberland falls was beautiful and worth the 45 minute drive. Conley Bottom has a good restaurant with a beautiful view.

The cabin was perfect! Stocked with anything and everything you might need. Beds and furniture are very comfortable and the layout could not be better. Communication was flawless and the hot tub was just what we needed after a long day. Thank you again for sharing your home.

Your gps might take you to wrong house. Back up and go to road going up. You will come to a sign that says stop turn around. Don’t stop keep going house is at the end of road. When you pull up you will definitely smile. This house is clean and beautiful. Very quite. We loved it. Also a big plus for us dog friendly.

It was great to be secluded from everyone and quite didn't care to much about how the TVs were fixed because of having to put in codes to watch and no broom or vacuum sweeper to clean up after carrying gravel in on shoes and then i get a massage from the owners saying that we had smoked in the house and that we violated the policy and also wants to charge us for a cleaning fee not a very happy camper if they push the issue. P.S. whoever does do the cleaning for the owners hadn't emptied the little trash can on the back screened in porch and there was cigarettes in it we took it out because our grandsons are allergic to cigarette smoke.

We had a wonderful time. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. The description did not do it justice. It was secluded, and quiet. We had a nice time relaxing and using the property as a base for our adventures. The hosts took the time put a nice book together that answered almost all of our questions about the property and the area. Our only complaint - we had to go back to our real life. Thanks again!

The property is beautiful, tucked away in a forest setting. We loved the ambiance of the creek in the back. The cabin has all the amenities of home and is located near many things to do outdoors. I would caution that the road leading to the cabin from the main highway goes for about 15 minutes and is narrow and winding - if that type of thing gives you anxiety while driving, the property may not be right for you. Overall, our family really enjoyed our stay!

This home was perfect for our family! They thought of everything! From yard games, to indoor games, comfy beds, clean and cozy home, hot tub with TV, and scenery for days! Quiet, no neighbors, perfect size yard for pets, fireplace, grill and outdoor lights for back porch and yard!! This was just what our family needed! We went to Nature's Arch and the waterfall. These are must see parks! We went thrifting!!! And ate at some amazing places! My 12 year old son and I enjoyed the creek in the backyard and went on many "adventures" checking out the woods! Our dogs loved the yard and creek as well! We would definitely visit again!!!!
