It was very convenient the location for me. A very interesting property with lots of history and beautiful architecture. When requested the staff were very friendly and attentive to resolve your request.
They need to get their act together in terms of offering breakfast. It would be useful to have housekeeping more frequently

Most everything!
I could have done with more breakfast options, but what was available was very good!

We loved how beautiful it was inside and out. Our favorite part was going to the very top and enjoying the view.

It was nice, clean, quiet place to stay! Owner was very nice.
It didn’t have a tv. But don’t know if we would have used it as we were out enjoying the sites most of the time there.

Breakfast, history, antiques. A/C good, claw tub
Bed too soft very uncomfortable

The staff and food was very good .
There were no window treatments so we couldn’t sleep in due to the sun. The room we stayed had the only sink outside the bathroom in the middle of the main room. We tried to cancel our reservation within 48 hours of booking but couldn’t and some of the design were a bit “dark “ for our taste.

The architecture and design of the house are insanely cool. The staff was friendly and accommodating before and during our stay. There is so much energy and love injected into this space.
I can't think of anything. All the questions or issues I had were resolved before we even entered the premises.

The quirkiness and the meaning and purpose behind it (which we did not know about when we booked)
Despite being newly renovated it still looks a little tired. Some work on the garden would make a huge difference on initial impressions

We LOVED the history and feel around the entire home. I am so thankful someone loved it for the nostalgia and aesthetic appeal and chose to save it from ruin. Pippi was so amazing, very helpful and sweet. We loved hearing stories of the home and the photos of reconstruction were very interesting. As an artist myself I definitely appreciated the dressmaker background as well as the inspired tiles and wallpapers, etc. I loved the antiques used within the room. Beautiful, inspiring place that we will never forget!!
We felt like the breakfast didn't have very filling/appetizing choices, so we chose to eat elsewhere. The surrounding neighborhood wasn't very impressive but we felt safe walking in the daytime and the Seven Stars bakery down the street a few blocks is the best bakery we've ever eaten at.. so we were thrilled to find it! One idea is that the staff might consider adding additional breakfast options (some hot), good fresh pastries, etc for guests. I loved the artwork, but did find some of it very disturbing (particularly the clown photography). I would never judge another artist's purpose or their intent and I take responsibility for the way I felt about it but it has stuck with me and felt violent. Not holding that against anyone but just a guest viewpoint! The other artwork was amazing and the idea of artists in residence is super cool. Overall I can't complain much...these are just ideas for improvement.

Beautiful facility, great location.

Building was amazingly beautiful. Pippi, our host, was terrific. Unique and interesting art.
Mattress could have used more support. Shower water temp was inconsistent, but it’s an old house and we survived.

The location was great - less than a mile from the downtown/river/Brown University. There are all kinds of good places to eat nearby. What we liked most was the fact that a feminist women's art project had rescued a great old abandonded victorian home and made it into an artists' residence project, AND a BnB. During the winter months, artists (at leat 50 so far) live/work in the building, including working on the BnB rooms; during the summer the rooms are rented to folks like us, who appreciate grand old buildings, to help pay for the winter artists' residencies. The women secured grants and loans to rennovate the building and continue to work there. We, as guests, get to enjoy the building and the area and help support a fine group of artists.
We liked it all. There might be a few folks that would not like the absence of TV's but that was fine with us in this context.

The unit we received was very large with beautiful vue to the garden
The unit is not completely renovated, the wind enter, there is no elevator and no tv.

I did not sample the breakfast, since Seven Stars Bakery was nearby. The room was great, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Lucky Enough Eat & Drink is also two blocks away and is highly recommended. RISD Art Museum has an interesting collection.

Really cozy and funky stay here. Staff is very friendly, and the rooms are fun and quirky. I did expect the breakfast to be a bit better, I ended up not even getting any because it was essentially just a hard boiled egg, apple, yogurt. But the location is great and it's walkable to cafes and restaurants. I'm curious what the other rooms look like, mine personally felt like a mini apartment. All in all a great stay and I would definitely book here again.

We love the place, the location and the breakfast. It is a historical house that has been tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the temperature of the room was good with hot water. The staff is courteous and very responsive. We got back late and couldn’t find the code to get in and they responded immediately. Breakfast is good. There is a great variety of options. It is within walking distance to great restaurants and bars. We would definitely stay here again.
Windows have shades to cover only half, so sunlight comes in.
