It’s in front of the beach
The booking had lunch included but the host said this was a mistake by the system and there’s no lunch although I made the booking a month earlier but was informed only a week before the trip when refund was not possible!
The booking included a kettle and toilet paper but there wasn’t in the room
Host needs to be attentive to guests needs
I’m trying to be nice and not think of negative things but honestly my experience wasn’t the best

NO VAYÁIS.

Chalet facing sea, nice place to calm your mind. In front chalet can snorkeling as the water as cleared as glass, you can enjoy the scenery with fish and coral. Near perkampungan nelayan and can have lunch and dinner at there with reasonable price. On the 2nd day only we aware we stay nearby the Perkampungan Nelayan 😅😅 can just take the snorkelling package from the chalet as the price same with other place. Thanks to the Abe Hamid, our boat driver that teach and show us how to see turtle and baby shark. Kudos to him
We arrived earlier and as expected we understand check in time at 2.00pm as advertised inside system but at front of chalet have signage stated check in time at 1.00pm.
We take 2 Quadraple room, 1 Room already clean since 11.00am and already can check in but the staff let us waiting at the table till almost 2.00pm. We even ordered many food from the restaurant but but the staff didnt informed us at all can check in. We even having breakfast and lunch everyday at the restaurant.
No basic facilities such as iron, kettle. On the third day only we aware there are iron and water dispenser at level 1. Should informed to use during check in, maybe want us to buy all the mineral water from the restaurant 😅

The place has a great potential but lots of work need to be done
Rooms made only once in 6 days and towels changed once . The sink is not connected to the wall so the water gets on your feet. No closet .
Hospitality is something different . The focus is on taking money from customers and that’s it. We asked for some ice as we had a friend with a pain and they denied it (quite strange since they make drinks with ice ) . We asked for a candle for a birthday… they did not even try to help.. very disappointing as being kind with customers is the key for these kinds of activities .

Location great for snorkelling
Unfortunately restaurant wasn’t great and you are limited to where you can eat .. we ordered a pancake for my son and was told it might take a while as lady who makes them is just finishing other orders what we didn’t know was every time a new customer came in she would prioritise them so we waited nearly 2 hours for then customers who came in after us ordered pancakes for deserts and they came before ours .. argh
Also when you ordered food it felt like it was an inconvenience to them .. glad we only stayed 1nt .. when you have hungry kids it can ruin the stay

The location is fabulous, direct access to the beach, great snorkling area, most authentic part of the island

Great place to stay, basic room and facilities but that’s fine if you are out all the time. Snorkelling from the beach is amazing, lovely staff. The roti’s were amazing, we had so many of them

The restaurant, the A/C and the owner as she was helpful. Also, we could pay some things with bank transfer which was super useful so that we had even more cash in our pockets.
The position is not good: you cannot reach any beach by foot, the beach in front of the chalet is really not so good to swim (there is a lot of boat traffic). Pillows were awful and room was dirty, small and dark.

After 10:00 pm not have food in restaurant 😕
There is no lobby . Exact 11:00 pm the manager told us please check our room , they don’t give us 15 minutes

Rooms were basic but clean. Towels, cups and soap were provided. Staff were friendly and helpful. The cafe had good food which wasn’t very expensive. Roti canai for breakfast was a hit and we had dinner there twice.
The beach had lots of dead corals so you need to wear slippers and kids couldn’t really play on the sand. As the water can be quite shallow, a lot of people must have stepped on the corals causing them to break off and die. That being said, you just had to swim a bit further out and the beach probably had one of the best corals compared to other places like Long Beach and other snorkeling spots we went to. The place is very simply constructed and I’m not sure how long the place will hold up over time.

If you are looking for simple accommodation with the warmest of hosts this is the place for you.
Madame, Matt and the team are kind and hospitable with excellent knowledge of the island and the various activities you can do.
They provide a relaxed atmosphere which feels like you are staying with family.
The location of the chalet is in Fisherman’s village which feels much more local. Madame and Matt can easily organise water taxis to ‘tourist-magnet’ Long Beach (for sunbathing, not snorkelling).
The Perhentian Bay Chalet team organised a wonderful snorkelling day trip for us. They know all the best spots to see turtles, sharks and wonderful coral.
The food offering is mainly freshly made rotis and omelettes. They were very considerate and accommodating of my dairy-free diet. We’d recommend you bringing cash as atm points are non-existent and card machines are far and few between.
We formed great friendships with the staff and were thrilled to get involved in an impromptu karaoke session on one night during a rain storm.
Thank you Perhentian Bay Chalet team for a memorable stay!

8. No shampoo or body wash
9. No hot water shower

The room with seaview is one of the best option you can choose because of it’s scenery. The room is soundproof as well so you don’t need to worry about making to much noise.
The price for the cafe right next to the chalet is expensive but it is quite delicious especially their roti canai
