I am being as honest as I can be, and I cannot find anything that I liked about this hotel. I've travelled the world, lived in 36 countries and stayed in hotels globally, and this ranks among the very worst.
- There was no attention to details, and my simple request for feather pillows was ignored.
- You need to leave a cash deposit for an iron.
- The hotel smelled of cigarette smoke and the exit and entrance lobby were packed with smokers and low-income housed persons.
- The hotel labels itself as AIRPORT HOTEL, but it is 40 minutes from the airport.
- The hotel is located in Wythenshawe. A notorious drug-addled and downtrodden crime cesspit in Manchester.
- The hotel staff were oblivious to the normal niceties associated with a hotel, and it seemed they were jaded by the location and usual low-rent clientele.
- None of the rooms have secondary locks or they're broken.
- No DND signs.
- Room service only comes after you depart no matter long you stay
- The bathrooms are gross, desperately in need of refurbishment and full of areas for dirt, grime, and bacteria to fester.
- The beds were so so, but please please please do not look at the mattresses.
- Tiny room with a 50" television on the wall. Why??
- I would rate this hotel a 1 Star, and that is being honestly generous.

Wi-Fi wasn’t working in the room after being made to pay for it.
Left a few items in the room after leaving went back the next day to be told there was nothing left in there. There is a thief within the members of staff
3.2
As an airport hotel, the staff was very good at organizing my next day, early morning trip to the airport. The shuttle was absolutely reasonably priced. There was an extra blanket in the room and the bed was very comfortable.
The room was freezing and there was no heating. The cold bathroom tiles were particularly hard to deal with for a tired person, late at night. The food in the restaurant was not great and somewhat expensive. It takes twenty minutes by the motorway to get to the airport.
3.2
Great convenient location and a decent price. Rooms are comfy and clean.
Car park situation isn’t great. I wasn’t able to find a space but couldn’t exit the car park without getting the code for the gate which meant leaving my car blocking the road. I understand why this is done but it’s not ideal. There was no way to contact reception by phone or intercom from the gate.
3.2
How close it is to the airport
The room was nothing that was shown when booking. It stank of weed and it was tiny!
3.2

Bar staff & restaurant staff
Didn’t feel very safe at the hotel.
Undesirable quests.
Drug deals just outside the hotel involving guests.
Room walls had water marks on.
Room very grubby.
3.2
Close to airport by bus is £2
Excellent lobby/bar area and good prices
Rooms clean and hot water constantly good
Wifi lobby strong connection
Value for money this hotel for one night
Wi-Fi in rooms zero connection!!
Rooms very dated
Carpets very old throughout the hotel
3.2
Room was excellent. Noise from the airport/road was acceptable. Bed was very comfortable but could have used an extra pillow.
Nothing.
3.2
Clean, comfortable room.
Check-in took a long time - 3 staff but only one checking people in.
3.2
Comfy clean bed. Fresh smelling room. Tea,coffee facilities. Snowwhite towels and bed linen. Tv ,lamps etc in working order.
Compliments to friendly and always helpful night staff.Always happy to stop here for the night going through Manchester Airport. Very reasonable prices .
If you want 4* well go pay for it. I can't fault this hotel for value for money( I don't really understand some of the reviews online).
The name is confusing on Booking.com as its the Airport Hotel Manchester ( Britannia is easier for taxi directions ).
It isn't actually in walking distance of the airport but 5+ minutes away by taxi.
3.2
The property was located in a good place, not too far from the city center. The hotel room was clean and good facilities.
The breakfast was disappointing in various sort of ways, not many choices besides the full English breakfast menu. They didn’t have any fresh fruits, juices, etc. the night I spent in the hotel, in one room next to mine a couple was definitely having sex and there were very loud, so I would say that the ambiance wasn’t suitable for families with kids.
3.2
Easy
Felt a bit like a refugee centre
3.2
Nothing apart from leaving the hotel
Avoid at all costs didn’t feel safe , lots of people hanging around the front of the hotel, apparently the hotel was been used for refugees
3.2
Couldn't get itv or Ch 4
3.2
The price was great and staff were pleasant.
I could smell cigarette smoke in the corridors, parking for van's was difficult, the windows sounded like they were open so there was a lot of traffic noise.
3.2
Shuttle to and from airport.
Food available.
Room adequate
Poor lighting in room. Bedside light didn’t work.
3.2
dining staff very kind
the bathroom was not clean! It is obvious someone had been very ill as the toilet and tub had residues of human excrement
3.2
Easy to find after a long drive. Clean but very basic. Staff were helpful and courteous.
Parking was very difficult as we arrived around 8:45 pm. Couldn’t get cases out of car as the only space available was so tight. A number of other guests were still looking. When we arrived there was 2 police vans with flashing lights taking someone away and others smoking cannabis at the door, had us concerned as to what we had come to.
3.2
The stay was good and the restaurant.
The room was a little run down
3.2
Convenient for motorway network around Mancheste
My room was noisy as it was next to the motorway, although this was ameliorated to a large degree by the (1960s-style) triple glazing For the second night of my 2 night stay reception kindly moved me to a much quieter room, which was fine apart from the fact it stank of cigarette smoke (as an ex-smoker I normally don’t mind a whiff of tobacco but this really reeked); opening the windows eventually sorted this. I paid the 12 quid for the breakfast on the first morning; I’ve had countless hotel breakfasts in my 6 decades of life but I’m not exagerating when I say that each of the individual items - sausage, bacon, mushroom, egg, croisant, coffee - were the worst examples of their kind I have ever tasted. The bacon had a weird chemical taste, the sausage was anemic, the scrambled eggs, the only egg dish available, tasted like they were 50% water, the croissant was an abysmal excuse for a thing, the coffee was incredibly weak and tasteless. Even the cornflakes were a bit ‘meh’ and I only managed half a bowl even though I was hungry. Perhaps the breakfast was so awful because it was a Sunday so they were short staffed and using yesterdays left overs - I can’t believe it can be this bad every day. Otherwise the hotel was OK and all in all not bad value for money (60 quid a night).

Very conveniently located .
Thank you for your kind hospitality.

Location, convenience
3.2
dirty and old hotel, rude people on reception’s, smell of rats, parking space it’s a joke.
3.2
Outdated compared to photos on booking.com
Cleanliness was a major issue inside of windows and outside. Looks like they have never been cleaned. No hooks in bathroom to hang clothes. No Ac system in such a big hotel.
Nights were stuffy in room.
Checkout time is 10am compared to the standard 12 noon in most hotels nowadays.
The shower gel was finished in the bathroom, if it's complimentary, you need to check if it is available in all rooms.
Entertainment wise downstairs, there was a snooker table which was sadly out of order and it required money.

If Ryanair did hotels... wifi? theres a charge for that. airport transfer? theres a charge for that
