Unglaublich liebevoll renovierter Palazzo.

I didn't take breakfast
I didn't find the bed very comfortable.
Room was adjacent to the main door of the building and was a little noisy with other guests coming and going.
I shall definitely stay there again, a lovely sense of history

Very kind and friendly Mrs. Dana. Wonderful coffee in restaurant. Loved the hospitality of local people.

The Relais Palazzo Paleologi Sec. XIV is off the beaten track in the small town of Lu. The hostess, Dana, made us feel immediately comfortable and gave us wonderful tips on things to do and see in the area. The rooms are all very nice, with plenty of space and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is an absolute highlight! Everything tasted so good and was put together with so much care!
Highly recommended (although we hope to find space here the next time we come to this part of Italy!).

It’s a nice place, quiet and very relaxing. The host was very kind, friendly and patient giving us a tour of the hotel and explained its history. The rooms are old but well preserved and clean. They have a good selection of wine and we bought couple of bottles. We had breakfast there and it was fresh and very delicious. I recommend the croissant and the the gem.

Our stay there was all too brief and although the weather wasn't kind to us the owner Dana, was a Ray of sunshine. Nothing was too much trouble and she was almost omnipresent, being on hand to deal with any questions, whilst at the same time seeming to do everything.
The atmosphere, decor and ambience was tranquil, tasteful and sophisticated and it was ideal base to get out and explore the region.
Nothing. But the challenge for Dana is how to be better still given such positive feedback.
A few things that would have been useful for us, given that the village seems devoid of shops;
Few more complimentary toiletries, soap, shampoo etc.
Perhaps some milk. Tea, coffee and kettle were available and I'm sure all we had to do was ask.
Just the odd couple of things to get you through that first full day.
Finally, a little bit spent on beautifying the grounds would make a huge difference, literally the icing on a delightful cake.

The history of the place and building was intriguing. The receptionist/hostes was extremely
serviceoriented and enthusiastic about the place and local history. Try the wine 🍷. Molto bene.

A return visit to this hotel. Very interesting historic building full of character. Spacious and conformable room. Excellent connected restaurant on site with local specialties and very good wine list - and helpful staff to assist with recommendations. Breakfast also varied and well presented. Parking is safe and secure.

An unexpected Gem. Fabulous building, lovely room. Very friendly and helpful reception.Full of atmosphere and vintage elegance. Breakfast simple but extremely good. Many nice touches.
The restaurant was fully booked, my fault for not booking in advance- but maybe an excuse reason to return?
The alternative suggested, very local, was authentic and very good value.

The hotel is 20 minutes away from Alessandria train station by taxi, we found ourselves in a paradise, an ancient castle-like building and courtyard, with a huge terrace overlooking the rolling hills, vineyards, and mountains in the distance, The interior modern design blending in with old exposed red brick walks with artworks on the right place, shows more tasty characters in this hotel. The room is spacious, or huge I should say, with high-quality beds and bedding, clean, and quiet. But what makes our stay more memorable is the kindness and friendly staff. They keep the whole place clean and tidy and make sure that every guest's needs are taken care of. Dana, the manager who's on-site working diligently along with other staff, is so kind, she even helps my daughter print the school assignment from her office. I would highly recommend this hotel if you need to have some peaceful and quality time on your holidays or just a weekend escape, you will find yourself in the perfect place, drinking a bottle of wine with your friends on the terrace, watching the sunset, or having tasteful traditional Italian dinner in their highly rated restaurant on the rooftop with 5-star service. I would like to come back to stay one or two weeks here to explore more of the old village of Lu, and the vineyards nearby.

Dana is the kindest person you'll ever meet. She was avaliable at all times and helped us out with any question or problem. Exceptional!
The room was super comfortable. Bigger than expected, good beds and a nice atmosphere. WiFi was also good, we were able to telework. We even had a kitchenette and made dinner one night at the room.
We also had dinner at the restaurant and it was amazing. Super tasty food, great wine and a lovely view. Highly recommended.
One of the best experiences ever. Don't hesitate, just book this hotel for an amazing stay!

Nice building, big room
The beds are very hard, not very comfortable.
A lot of light is coming inside the room in the morning.
The A/C was not working very well.

The building is really outstanding. It's an exceptional historical site which is very carefully renovated. The restaurant has a lovely terrace and vey nice food. The lady running the place is very friendly and an exceptional host.
Because of the heat wave, the aircon struggled a bit to cool the room.
