About this apartment rental
The Artist's Nest is an art house (design apartment) located in the center of Piacenza, in the historic Novati's Palace, whose cour d’honneur was inspired by the Panini’s painting "Convito di Baldassarre". The interiors, with their high coffered ceilings, are characterized by the interventions and works of the landlady, the artist Franca Franchi. This unique atmosphere will not fail to impress you and will happily accompany you during your stay, be it for tourism or work.
Initially, you will be greeted by an elegant living room characterized by the presence of many works of the artist. In particular, you will notice the panels used to create a subtle division between the living area and the kitchen, and the lighting created by light sculptures.
Continuing inside the apartment you will find a long corridor with various paintings that will lead you to the bathroom and the lounge room.
The bathroom, divided into two rooms, is characterized by an aqua green colour that gives a feeling of floating. In the first you will have the opportunity to take a warm bath in an antique bathtub, while in the second you will find a nice, modern shower.
In the lounge room you will find a comfortable couch and a large bookcase, which divides the space in half. Behind the bookcase you will find a unique desk where you will be able to work comfortably. It is also worth highlighting the presence of many large plants that contribute to the character of this original design apartment.
The apartment ends with a mezzanine where the bedroom is located. An harmonious synthesis between antique and contemporary furnishings, where you will find a comfortable double bed that will allow you to rest as if you were suspended “out of the world”, looking closely at the old coffered ceilings.
While entering the building, before reaching the entrance door of the apartment, you will be greeted by the eighteenth-century cour d’honneur attributed to the architect, priest and painter Giancarlo Novati, unique in the city for its scenic layout.
Then you will find a large courtyard with a fifteenth-century, with two rows of loggias, in which you can park your car.
Access to the building does not require the crossing of Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL - Zona Traffico Limitato).
