Lots of room inside and outside. Very clean. Everything we needed was there.
Host responded quickly to any concerns.
Not a great swimming spot but otherwise a very nice property.
Highly recommend

Our group from PA had a great long weekend fishing on Lake Opinicon. The property was nice and just a short walk to the Opnicon hotel. Bowen, the property manager was very helpful amd responsive.

The stay was enjoyable and everything was as advertised

We enjoyed the area and the house, which was enough room for the 9 of us and our dogs. The house was well stocked/equipped and Bowen was fantastic with communications. The biggest issue was that the lakefront was not really swimmable, very weedy, but even if you could get on a floatie there is not stairs or anything on the small dock. It was great to kayak and use paddle boards but swimming was a no go. The other issue was that it is literally next door to a busy marina. If you are looking for private you aren't going to get it. However, the area is really great, and the house was great, not to mention the lot was large, which was nice for the dogs to run. We enjoyed the area and visiting the locks and local towns.

The cottage was exactly as shown and had just about all the necessities needed. I brought so much stuff i didnt need to bring because it was all there. Only down side was the guy at garage drop off was terrible person

All was very good. A nice clean quiet place, just not a location to go walking around easily, as right of the road, and no shoulder to walk safely.

We were very pleased with the cottage and property. The only issue we had was there was no swimming involved and was not informed about the water situation. You definitely cannot swim where the weeds come right to the top. Even out in the middle of the lake. We were also abit shocked at the fact that we had to discard our own garbage and take the beds apart and do the laundry.
But other than these few things we had an amazing time.

The cottage was great for our family holiday in the Rideau Lakes. There was more than enough room for our group of 12 and we made use of the kayaks, the campfire, BBQ and eating breakfast out on the deck. We walked to Chaffey’s Locks and the Opinicon to dinner and ice cream a few times. Only downside is that the water at the property is too weedy and shallow for swimming. We headed to Sand Lake or Kendrick’s park for swim days. The bugs did find their way in overnight so it was some work to keep clean for the week. The marina is right at the end of the driveway but the place still felt private enough for us. We would definitely book again and the price is quite reasonable.

This place was a nice size for a 8-10 size group. Lots of sleeping space and loads of linens. We were only 4 so we had more space than we needed, but if there are 8 people there isn't a spot to watch TV (hockey game 😀) for everyone besides sitting at the dining room table.
The only other thing to note was there was quite a bit of dog/cat white hair on the floors and our socks were covered, not from our dogs whom are black and brown.
But none of this would stop us from staying again.
