A quiet and well-maintained place surrounded by greenery
fantastic outdoor pool
traditional local cuisine, great wines and excellent service
welcome gift in the room (thank you!)
good starting point for trips (Montepulciano, Pienza, Val d'Orcia, Montalcino) + easy access by car from the A1
Our economy room on the ground floor was right next to the staircase, which is not soundproofed enough - I recommend taking a higher class room :)

lovely hotel, very clean and generally very nicely designed, beds were super comfy. The restaurant was very nice, we had a lovely dinner, Sergio is super kind and helpful and so are all the staff.
the shower oscillated between warm and cold and in pressure, and the wifi didn’t work. the drinks at the bar were very expensive and you can hear everything from the hallway down to the reception.

Incredible. I am speechless with the hospitality, the staff and the property itself. I’ll start with the property, so beautiful, peaceful and truly worth every penny. To give a background, our first night there I was feeling sick and the property immediately did everything and anything to help us. They delivered food from the restaurant to our room (incredible food), came up and down the stairs frequently to check on us and even called the managers private doctor later at night to make sure I was okay. I cannot believe the kindness of every single staff member.
Beyond that, the breakfast was incredible and they have a huge variety it’s amazing. It was so peaceful to wake up to. Also the location is close to Montepulciano and pienza and the property can give great reccs. They also set up horseback riding for us. 12/10 experience.

Building and garden…very beautiful, great flower variety with on some places many butterflies all day. Spending a day at the property itself is a pleasure.
The team behind Poggio Piglia…I can’t think of any other hotel we’ve visited with staff more friendly and open to the guests. This team goes beyond all what you may expect from a hotel staff.
Kitchen was good, breakfast with all the necessary choices and more. Overlooking the garden and Tuscany scenery one could have breakfast for hours. Menu choices at lunch or dinner not too much but at dinner you can also select from lunch menu. Restaurant staff with passion explaining what certain dishes exist of and what their recommendation would be. On request chef made me a risotto which was not on any menu.
Wifi quality exceptional, both indoors as well as outdoors.
The bed…both pillows and matrass were too hard and bed bottom was just a hard wooden board. With some blankets acting sort of as a top-matrass we made it durable. Furthermore the entire bed moved when one person turned him/herself (even so slightly) around. One could only advice to the hotel owners/staff to sleep in their beds themselves for a few nights. And afterwards come to the conclusion that matrass and pillows need to be changed.
Visitors staying in some rooms next to the stairs / main building entrance could hear people arriving from late dinner outside the property or having an early checkout in the morning.
Finding (and keeping) the proper shower temperature turned out to be slight challenge

The estate is so pretty with its unobstructed view of Italy towns and Tuscany fields. the room is comfortable and nicely decorated. we love the garden, the vineyard and also the woods that you can walk after your meal. the breakfast is superb (thanks Rebecca for your service). The best part of the hotel is the pool which is definitely worthy a nice photo.

Very small (under 10 rooms) hotel in a beautiful location. Staff (especially Sergio) is very welcoming. Great breakfast for the size of the hotel (you have everything).
Not much but we thought the evening restaurant could serve more classic Italian dishes. It was still very good but more targeted to international clients. Also bathrobe in the rooms would be nice.

Very nice facility, very good cuisine and a very courteous staff.
My special thanks to Sergio. He leads the service part with so much heart... just great!
Unfortunately, the rooms are a bit noisy. I recognized my daughter lying in bed already when she was one floor below on the spiral staircase :D
For a longer stay, I would like to see a changing daily menu. The small but fine map has seen after 4 days then.

Beautifully renovated property. We had an excellent room (7) with great views - just perfect. Very nice setting… pool area needs some TLC.
Some of the staff was being trained during our stay. Understandable due to COVID.

The hotel sits on a beautiful property that is not far via cab from the Chiusi train station. The room was clean and comfortable and the food at the restaurant was pretty good. What really made this stay memorable though was the staff, who went above and beyond multiple times. We didn’t fully appreciate how much you need a car here and on a Sunday (when almost everything in Chiusi was closed) the manager at the property called his friend who worked at a local rental car and arranged to get us a car last minute. Then that evening we had asked to taste some of their wines and while the normal staff member who did the tastings was off duty, they quickly and happily put something together for us. Also, the first evening we were there, there was a rowdy group of travelers who were clearly being too loud and the server offered us a free dessert. We would stay here again for the scenery and above all the staff!
While it’s a super peaceful hotel/property, there really isn’t anything to do (no organized tours of their wine/olive oil process, etc.), hence why we wanted to rent a car our second day. Also, since you can’t really walk to anything from the property, the fact that food isn’t offered outside of set times leaves you a little stuck if you’re hungry- they would do well to have an apperitivo for a small charge.

Excellent swimming pool, very clean, friendly stuff and really nice breakfast! The owner himself treated us with a nice bottle of red wine from their own production!
The mattress could be a bit more comfortable
