Wonderful stay in the heart of Harlem

What a great location in the heart of Harlem next to the Apollo Theater! The ambiance is wonderful, nice bar and restaurant, beautiful city views, would definitely stay here again

The only complaint I have is that my booking was to pay at the property, but the hotel tried to charge a deposit a few days before my check in and when it was declined they canceled my booking! thankfully they were able to rebook when I arrived for the same price.

Beautiful hotel with lackluster amenities & resources

Breakfast was ok & the location is connected to a historic site, the Apollo. The live music was fantastic! The staff took really great care of us and our room was absolutely beautiful (exactly as pictured).

There was no fridge or anywhere to warm up food so having leftovers was pointless. The rooftop was mediocre. I would have been upset paying an entrance fee for it.

Definitely the best option if you want to stay in Harlem

Location was great

Bathrooms were a bit worn for what is meant to be a new facility. And housekeeping never refilled the body wash while we were there.

Very convenient location. Beautiful building and rooms.

The breakfast was excellent. The only thing that could have been better was larger coffee cups, or more frequent fill ups. It is also sometimes difficult to get a place to sit since it is so busy. Love the coupons for daily food discount.

It would be nice to have a small fridge in room. And Tuesday, I did not receive any new washcloths, used hand towel. And statements regarding breakfast. Wish food discount did not include arrival day and you could use on departure day for breakfast. No place to get any forgotten necessities.

Nice hotel, comfortable bed, excellent hotel food, food/drink vouchers provided during your stay and close to subway

The hotel was decorated nicely. The area were it is located is okay. Situated not to far from subway station and there were a lot of shops and other places to eat. The restaurant inside hotel had very good food.

No parking garage connected to hotel but there were parking garage near by the hotel. Not enough towels and washcloths provided in the room and not replenishing body soap dispenser

Overall stay was nice, but friendliness and functionality could have been better.

We loved the architecture and the property location as well as the decor and views. The food at the restaurant was excellent.

Some of the employees were not friendly and welcoming. There were a lot of quarky things like not enough privacy in bathroom area, light switches we off, not signage around for functionality, not frig or microwave in the room. No signage about how the lobby area functions.

It served it's purpose to provide a safe, clean, accessible space in NYC - even if a bit pricey.

The location was clean and the check in was smooth even with a very late/early morning arrival. It is in a location convenient to public transportation. The concierge (as much as it was) was very helpful in helping us figure out navigating the city on public transportation. The rooms were nicely appointed, while small compared to other cities across the country - it was actually a fair size compared to other NYC hotels.

There should be a fridge and or microwave in the rooms or available. The pricing seems about 15-20% higher than it should be considering the location. Rather than the restaurant/bar voucher - invest in a continental breakfast for guests.

The stay was cool. Staff is always cordial and friendly.

It was very confusing when it was time to eat. We weren't notified that the restaurant and the hotel were two separate entities. We tried to use the $25 voucher to eat when we came downstairs they said since we didn't make a reservation we weren't able to sit down at the restaurant and eat. Guest should be notified upon checking of the rules for eating and that The Renaissance is not connected to the restaurant.

The stay was fair.

Did not try the breakfast, but the location was fine.

There were 5 amenities listed and only 1 was given. The 5 amenities were the main reason I selected the hotel. However, when I brought the discrepancies to the attention of the staff, I was asked to return the 1 amenity (3 bar/food coupons) listed that was given. I found this totally unacceptable.

Never choose this hotel. Over-priced for the value you get.

Nothing really.

Horrible security staff. I came at mid-night not knowing how to open the main door since they lock it and when i tried to open it, they asked me to get out. I asked for water bottle and i was denied. Poor location with drugs everywhere.

Very clean and overall a good time, convenient location too.

Check-in was a little of a pain, went out for dinner and returned and our keys didn't work due to a staff member not checking us in properly

I had a good time and this place is convenient

I like that the property was by subways stops and the way it looked, the room was really nice and we had a good time.

Some staff was a little rude, has some issues with a woman at the front, we wanted water bottles and she gave us a hard time for it.

Très bon hôtel

Hôtel très bien placé avec une bouche de métro proche pour partir visiter la ville. Le personnel est très gentil et de bon conseil. Les repas au restaurant sont très bons. Les chambres sont très fonctionnelles et très propres. Je conseille vivement cet hôtel.
