Local, cosy, comfortable and in a stunning part of Vic. Will recommend and go again. Thank you for a great and easy stay.

The cottage is perfectly located a short walk from the centre of Halls Gap. There was plenty of space for two adults and two teenage boys.
It was pretty cold the weekend we were there, only a couple of degrees overnight, and the cottage does get a little chilly. Once the wood burning stove has been going for a couple of hours though, the place is quite cosy, and there are electric heaters as well.
Good cooking facilities and a nice large kitchen and lounge were appreciated. Kangaroos in the garden were a hit with our international guest!
Overall, a lovely stay.

Very comfortable house. Weather was cold but wood fire and heaters were very good. Location excellent, close to shops and restaurants.

A lovely cottage full of character. Perfect location to Halls Gap only a 5 minute walk away. Large front yard with a fire pit, the cottage set back from the main road so it is very quiet. So many small details to help the stay more comfortable. Caters to family stays with lots of books and games for all ages. Heating was great with wood heater, inverter, and wall heaters.

Charming house !
Property was a lot bigger than what we thought !
Right in the heart of town , yet set back a little so nice and quiet . My 9 year old son loved the kids room , so cosy with lots of activities and books to keep him entertained while looking out the window watching deer and kangaroos! We lit the fire both nights , it was truly a magical experience for us both. An easy walk out to dinner each night coming back to our cosy fire.
Very handy to have a washing machine and dryer to use. A wonderful host who was happy to help us in any way she could ( she let us arrive a little earlier which was very generous ) oh ! And the main bedroom had the most comfy mattress , I am in the process of ordering myself the same mattress for home as I had the most incredible sleep 😊

The cottage was lovely with lots of great activities & games, 2 living areas. Clean & comfortable - nice touches with eco friendly washes etc, beds were good. We also had kangaroos & birds as companions, even a kookaburra. Well located - thoroughly recommend.

Jennifer was such a great host. We weren’t sure if we would make it because of the bush fires but she was so easy to communicate with and willing to refund us if we couldn’t make it. Luckily we were still able to get there! It’s such a beautiful little house so close to halls gap town centre. We were surrounded by lots of friendly wildlife every day. The place was so quiet and cosy with everything you could possibly need including some fun board games! I would love to stay here again. Thank you Jennifer!

I really enjoyed my week stay here, cozy cottage with all the basics you need and it's the perfect place to have a relaxing time away. Every evening, kangaroos wander onto the property to graze. The property manager Jennifer was quick to respond to any questions I had and I will definitely be staying here again in the future!

The property is beautiful and clean. My daughter loved the bunk bed and was super delighted. The property is central to the halls gap town & visitor centre and the hotels are close by. The lookout points are also close by and very relaxing. I loved the fireplace. The kitchen is well-equipped with almost everything you need if you are planning to cook. I would love to come back to stay at this property again. Thanks a lot, Jenifer for hosting us at your Kookaburra cottage.

Honestly, the photos on the website just doesn’t do this absolutely beautiful home justice. Seeing it in person just instantly gives you that warm homely feel.
I literally overpacked thinking I would need everything and as it turned out, this beautiful home felt so much like home for so many reasons but mainly because it has absolutely everything…literally EVERYTHING a home has right down to that utensil you would only use a few times in your lifetime down to never-ending entertainment for the kids…books, games, drawing, toys etc. Even hubby was entertained 😜.
The times that we were relaxing in this cosy home, the kids were constantly entertained. If they wanted to play outside, the home is on a large block of land with plenty of room for them to roam safely.
Lovely to have visits each day from the kangaroos and one very cheeky Kookaburra that likes to steel your food.
The location is absolute prime. I’ve been holidaying in Halls Gap for over 42 years now and this is by far the best place I’ve ever stayed and best location.
Jennifer, you truly are blessed to have such a gorgeous property and to be nestled amongst those picturesque mountains is truly amazing. I do envy you. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
Thank you Jennifer for allowing my family to have such a comfortable, relaxing and wonderful time. 😊

The house was absolutely perfect for us and very fairly priced. Nice central location situated on a beautiful block. Jennifer was a great host who replied almost instantly to any message. Hope to stay again on our next winter holiday.

Perfectly appointed and comfortable Home which allowed us to dine in after long walks taking in all the area has to offer. Make sure you also drop into the Historical Society Shop/Display in main street for more on the history of the area. You are a short stroll up the street from Kookaburra Cottage to all the shops & cafes. A Kookaburra greeted us on arrival and many Kangaroos grazed in the garden. The view of the Grampians from the property is breathtaking. You won't be disappointed as host Jennifer has gone to great lengths to see all the special touches are there to make the stay enjoyable. We will go back and next time spend more than 2 nights.

This cottage perfectly fulfilled my needs. Wonderfully tranquil, excellent value, and a great location from which to explore the Grampians. No wonder the local wildlife make it their home. The Kookaburra cottage (or the Manna House) will now be my place of choice whenever I return to the Grampians. By the way, Mount Abrupt is a corker of a hike.
