Our stay was wonderful after we had to wait for the cleaning ladies to arrive after our check in time which in reality they should’ve had the cabin clean upon arrival so they didnt have to come out a second time. That made my partner and I miss a whole night because by the time they left the cabin it was 8pm the got there around 6… That was the only upsetting part after driving all day we just wanted to relax and couldn’t. If the cleanliness of the cabin was up to par everytime we’d definitely stay again. Throughout these issues the Host was on top of it and sent the cleaners right away, just wish that didn’t have to happen.

Property was great beautiful house and close to lots of things to do but yet still away from everything. Host is very helpful and answers immediately check in process was very easy. only complaint was the yard hadn’t been mowed in awhile weeds were up to my chest in the back yard so made the back yard unusable. But the house and hot tub were great.

Property was perfect for a weekend getaway. Family of 7 with teens and adult children had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped, we cooked most of our meals. The pool table, air hockey table, and ping pong table got lots of use.

The inside was clean and fine. The pictures on the site are obviously older. The outside spaces were not up to our expectations. The nice porch was not clean or swept. Same with the lower porch section. Back by the firepit was overgrown. Property needs maintenance attention.

Our stay was great we really enjoyed the cabin for the most part no Mountain View but in a wonderful location. My only complaint is when we got to the cabin there was a lock on one of the closets in the master bedroom and it was broken off when we arrived and the other closet was already full of things, broom, mop, etc so therefore we didn’t use the closets which is fine because there are drawers as well, however the host texted me about a day after we left saying during their walk through of the house after we left she then discovered the lock was broken off and that door, lock, and repairs were needed I saw the message the next morning and responded telling her that it was like that when we arrived however if she would get back with me on a total that I would gladly get it to her. She never responded and proceeded to charge my card. I just thought that was a little unprofessional but it’s okay it is what it is. I just suggest taking pictures of anything broken or messed up as soon as you get there and letting the host know that way the blame doesn’t fall on you.

This charming mountain home was everything that we needed to unwind for a few days while we made our trip from Tennessee to Florida. With the game room and hot tub accessible at the house we found we could really just relax at the comforts of the house and enjoy family time. We were greeted with lots of deer that we could watch from the wrap around porch. It was truly beautiful to see Nature in comfort. The house had plenty of space for our family as well. Would recommend 100%!

Cute cabin. Great location. The cabin was a little dusty and cobwebs everywhere. Had to pick up dirty tissue paper in the bathroom under a stool and more in the bedroom on the main floor under a chair other than that we enjoyed our stay. If you have a family staying the kids will have a blast in the basement. Hot tub was clean and it was an easy drive! Curvy so be careful but easily accessible.

This cabin is tucked away in the mountains with an upgraded cabin feel. The proximity to Blue Ridge is just close enough to be able to go do things, but just far enough away to feel like you’re away in the mountains. Great weekend spot!

The property was amazing. Everything i needed was there. There were a couple of amenities included that weren't even listed. The property manager's Communication was A1, and the entire trip exceeded my expectations. I would definitely book this cabin again and recommend it to other family and friends.

Everything went relatively well. Only major complaints would be the yellow water, strange film on top of the hottub water, basement/gameroom unfinished and freezing, and air hockey table needs to be tossed out and get a better one. There was a strange sticky residue across the entire hockey table that needed to be cleaned before it would work moderately well, but still, it's seen better days. Lastly, the front door keycode lock threw my code and wouldnt work after a few uses on day one. Aside from those things, it was a pleasant stay and fit the bill for a group of guys. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay and having activities (ping pong, air hockey, pool table, and hot tub) made it easy to stay at the cabin. The kitchen was really well stocked and I enjoyed all the decorative touches all around. Well done!

overall was good. TV remotes in all rooms but did not work. Found one that would work all the TVs. Had to set channel you wanted to watch then go to next room and set channel, etc. Had to go get remote that worked every time you wanted to change channel. Maybe there was a trick to get each remote in each room to work. Need new scissors.

First of all, the pictures do not do the place justice, and i was already impressed off the pictures. The windy road up the mountain was beautiful. Parking, right next to the door for easy unloading. You walk in, and it's comforting, inviting, and just cozy and perfect. We enjoyed the firepit outside, fireplace inside, hot tub, and abundance of room to accommodate our crew of 4. We reached out to the host during the stay when the fireplace wouldn't light. Nothing wrong at all, pilot light went out, very simple fix which we were provided instructions to fix, and in less than 5 minutes, we were up and running. The communication could not have been any more prompt or helpful. I felt like the host was extremely accommodating! We do a cabin trip every year, and we will definitely be rebooking this cabin again. Thank you for such a lovely time!! Highly recommend to all!

First and foremost, the hosts are absolutely awesome and very communicative. The property is slightly secluded, but close enough to civilization to grab any necessities that may have been forgotten. This is a great place to unplug and enjoy the beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is definitely kind to families with kids, as there is silverware for the adults and plasticware for the kiddos. For those traveling with kids, let them know ahead of time that it's s different kid of water system than in the city, so it stains the toilets...its not dirty water...its just different than city water. If you're careful, and lucky, you will see wildlife. We saw raccoons and deer. There is more than enough to do inside the home, as well...games galore, and the internet is more than good enough to have a stream or two if you need to catch up on some binge worthy shows, or let the little ones chill to some Bluey. All in all, the hosts thought of almost everything for a family or families with kids to enjoy some peaceful time away from the city.

This is the perfect cabin to relax and enjoy peacefulness. It was exactly what we needed! The cabin had everything and more than expected. When we had concerns about the fireplace the property manager was very quick to help!

We enjoyed our family getaway. The only negative was the basement was FREEZING cold and had NO heat. I know that it is unfinished but a heater would have been nice so that we could have enjoyed the gameroom more. We had some issues with the gas fireplace but luckily my son in law was able to get it going. Nice cabin overall.

Beautiful home tucked off the beaten path but still within 25 minutes of Blue Ridge. Fully stocked home. We really enjoyed the gameroom downstairs, ping pong, air hockey and pool table. The house was perfect for our group of 6. Lots of deer and wildlife in the area. Thank you for making your home available to us.

House was great. Everyone enjoyed the house, hot tub, porches, property, view and firepit. House was clean, nice size. Host Kristin was great. Location of the home was convenient. I almost forgot the pool table, ping pong table and air hockey table in the basement was a plus.

This beautiful cabin had everything my family needed for a maximum relaxation vacation! It's in a quiet location with a wonderful view. The cabin is well kept and had everything we needed, minus food and drink! We went to the grocery store on our first night and didn't leave the cabin until our checkout 5 days later. Our family of 4, including our 14 yr old and 21 yr old had a great time reclining on the upstairs couches with a cozy fire watching movies together. We spent hours playing pool, ping pong and air hockey, enjoyed roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire pit, and slept in and napped on the super comfortable beds. It was the perfect place to unplug and spend quality time together outside of our always busy life at home. Kristin, the new owner, was very sweet and had great communication. Would definitely stay here again!

This property had everything we needed to eat, drink and stay entertained the whole weekend. Close to hiking trails and about 20 mins from Blue Ridge where there are excellent breweries. If you’re arriving at night, go slow on the winding road to the cabin but it’s not super steep like some other places we’ve been! The pool table and ping pong table in the basement were fun; and the hot tub was a blast - though know it’s only meant for 2-3 adults at a time. Highly recommend this place overall!

Thanks to Emily for allowing it, this last minute, much needed vacation was possible. We needed to get away for a couple of days and relax. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, well kept cabin. It was very quiet and peaceful. Emily was a great host, very sweet and helpful as well as easy to contact if needed. I would definitely recommend her property as well as stay at her property again. We came up for a few days from Florida to get away. The cabin was amazing. There's something about waking up and watching the sun rise over the mountains. And there was plenty for the kids to do. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful week at the Lazy Bear Cabin. The location is excellent as the cabin was about 20 minutes from the grocery store yet secluded enough that we saw deer every day. The cabin itself was lovely with many amenities. We made great use of the grill, fire pit, and the game room in the basement. Emily, the owner, was incredibly helpful and responsive both during the booking process and during our stay. My family had a great time.

This location was the perfect weekend getaway for our family! We enjoyed hiking nearby, the hot tub, ping pong, and having a fire! Our boys enjoyed everything about this cabin and are hoping to go back again!
