Absolutt INGEN merking av mat, noe som gjorde det vanskelig for meg som er laktoseintolerant. Ingen allergi mat/smør/ melk. Generelt dårlig utvalg . Håpløs parkering. Måtte komme til hotellet kl 17 for å få plass, kunne tenkt oss å være ute lengre og gjøre ting. Få oppmerkede plasser, d vil hjelpe mye

Rooms have a beautiful view. Only place we stayed in our week long travels that provided proper soap and shampoo. Breakfast wasn't as good as some of our other hotels but still fine.

The hotel is rather outdated, feeling way overdue for a refresh. Nothing is in tatters, but everything just looks like it's at least 20 years old. There are technically 4 EV charging spots, but the first night they were all blocked by non EVs. We mentioned this to the front desk at check-in and they said "oh yes, that is often a problem, there are rapid charging stations in nearby towns." I assume if there was more parking space, then people would be less likely to block the chargers, so it seems like they need more parking.

Excellent stay, definitely want to return.

Location was beautiful, the building was lovely. Staff was very friendly. Heated bathroom floor was a very nice surprise.

Excellent views and great breakfast. Location was great and checkin was easy. Staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. They were even willing to help me out when I left my glasses behind. I would stop here again on future trips for sure.

We had a short stay due to being on a tight timeline. The only thing that would have helped me out would have been an EV charger to connect to the charging ports at the hotel. The rental car didn't have one with it. Even having one for rent would be great. It's not a major issue, there are nearby chargers in the main town that one can use if they have an EV.

Not a bad stay if staying in the area. Location and view is the best bit.

Breakfast was decent. Lovely location overlooking the Fjord. Didn't have dinner whilst there. Was very quiet.

It's a bit dated. The carpets, and interior of the room give the feel of a hotel in need of a bit of TLC.

Quiet fantastic location with very friendly knowledgeable staff and unbelievable breakfast and dinner buffets! This is the place to stay if you want to see the glaciers the waterfalls and take the sky tram in Loen.

Cold, Rude and Unprofessional

The location suited our itenerary.

We felt unwelcome the moment we entered this Hotel. Check-in was done by a dour and hostile old lady, while the Manager and the other receptionist fell over themselves to welcome and facilitate another couple who were asking questions, unrelated to their stay, which any normal person would have sought answers for themselves on the internet. On reaching our room, which was adjacent to the lift well we found the pipes making loud noises and the flag which was just outside our balcony flapping loudly in the wind. After waiting for half an hour, in the hope that at least the pipes would quieten, I called reception to apprise them of the situation. I was spoken to very rudely, by the same lady who had ungreeted us. Shortly thereafter the Manager, I think he was a Mr.Roon came to our room, he solved the pipe problem, it was air in the radiator, not something that I would have known as we do not have heating in our part of the world. As for the flag, he said it would be taken down later in the evening, I mentioned to him the coldness of our check-in and the rudeness over the phone, he apologised but went on to sell us on the dinner buffet. We would have had the buffet, but after being treated in the way which we had, after paying more than fair price for the room, we were definetely not giving them our custom. Olden has other eateries so this was not a problem. The room has no tea/coffee making facility. In the evening the Manager did offer us a complimentary cup of coffee, which he served himself, saying he does not know how such things are done, as he is the Manager, I wondered to myself that had the man never served anyone a coffee in his home. In any case this episode too made us uncomfortable. The breakfast next morning was fine, we were there early and the breakfast room has nice vies over the fiord, but the tables at the window were 'Reserved', not that anyone came to sit at them while we had breakfast.
