Great house for a small family. Location is 10 mins away from Lake, Trails, Everything. It sits on the main road that takes you to attractions in either direction. Huge yard for a fire or activities. Great place.

Our overall stay was wonderful! 10-15 minutes from most of the activities we had planned!

Ease of getting in and out. Clean and well maintained. Lots of activities available for guests to use.

Proximity to activities was great, we had so much fun! However, for the price I was expecting a higher standard of home. House is uneven with odd steep stairs and tripping hazards, not recommended for children, older folks or tall people. Not all windows have shades for privacy, doors on all the rooms would be nice. FYI- has coffee pod maker but no pods, plan accordingly.
Lots of bugs and stains on towels and bedding.
Host was pleasant and check-in was easy.

Ants in bathroom tv has a problem or the service does as it would change or stop in the middle of a show! Thanks for the great time.

Overall great stay. We arrived to discover no cell service to open the message in the vrbo app with the key code. Drove into logan to get groceries and we were able to pull it up. You may want to include in instructions to write down the door key code before arrival as cell service is limited.

This was an amazing cabin to stay at. It is fully stocked with everything you'll ever need which made our stay comfortable. It's also very clean and well kept. The property is right next to a main road which I didnt find bothersome but others might need to consider since it's high traffic area road. The only couple of downsides for me were the following: 1. The stairs going up to the rest of the rooms upstairs are pretty steep. Not too kid or elder family member friendly in my opinion. 2. the property definitely can accomodate 6 or more people very comfortably (base on it descriptions) however, there's only 1 bathroom to share which i think is not enough for 6 people or so. other than that we had an amazing stay and we talked about coming back to rent again the next time we're going to hocking hills.

Very good location. We appreciated having separate sleeping spaces with nice linens for all 4 adults in our family. Host provides many nice cooking & kitchen items as well as games to play in the large yard and indoors. A/C and fans worked well to keep place cool. New windows so traffic noise did not bother us. Nice towels and washcloths. Updated kitchen and bathroom.
To note: Stairs are steep and harder for adults--especially at night in the dark. Beds are okay. If you want privacy beyond a curtain or barn door for bedrooms, this is not your place. Floors are not the same level on the main floor, so anyone who trips easily could have a problem. Dining table has 2 chairs and a small bench. It would be nice to have another chair at the dining table so 4 can easily eat and play games together.
Things you should know but the host cannot control: water smells and tastes very bad. Bring your own bottled water--including for cooking. It is the country, so we had a mouse eat into a loaf of bread on the counter one night. Plan to put all food in the fridge or a hard sided cooler.
Bonus if you like cats: Very friendly neighborhood cat likes to hang out on the porch, sit in your lap, and be loved.

So when i rented this house i was a little nervous because there were no reviews and we all know thats the first thing we look at to see what is bad about the rental. Ill start with the bad. The house is on a main highway with lots of traffic. This makes for lots of road noise. While it didnt affect me and thought it was good central location for getting to all the parks some will complain or not like it. This is a old house so it has narrow hall ways steps amd ceilings thats the second thing people should know. Now the positive. The house is on a way bigger lot than i thought ( a few acres)lots of room for outdoor games and running around. The house is updated with kitchen and bath. The outdoor seating is great. Had fires everynight and grilled and sat on the decks. There was no picture of a dinning room table. I was worried about that but yes table for 4 wirh an extra card table if needed. Kitchen had everything needed and then some. The hot tub was great. This is a long review but if its the first i want to tell other renters what to expect. I would stay again and am recommending to a friend to rent in the fall. Thank you for sharing your place itbwas an amazing week.

My family and I stayed for one night and it was perfect. It was clean, freshly renovated, and had everything you could need. The water is well water, so there is a sulfur smell, but that is the only “negative” that we noticed. Very happy with our stay and would book again if we are ever down at Hocking Hills again. Thank you!
