The location has incredible views! That’s the winner! The style of the bamboo build matches the view! Chef is brilliant!
Checkin was very confusing, signs did not direct you to the place to check in we were turned back from the distance of the villas to another location. When we arrived it was a busy restaurant and lacked the care and attention to a guest. I dealt with 4 different people from arriving to them leaving me at the villa. I had to ask for everything, including wifi access where I had to they had to ask someone so I could take a photo of the their phone. The property is so far away there was no way to contact anyone if you don’t have a personal phone. It is so remote. There was no compendium so no instruction on anything. I sent a message to property asking for a security number, compendium, a cloth to clean the tables and over 3 nights stay nothing arrived. After confirming this would. Ordering coffee and breakfast the first day had to wait until the kitchen was open which doesn’t suit if you would like to start your day early. Orders sent through had to be followed by phone calls. Each order, including a pre order the night before for coffee and after confirmation, was no earlier than 1 hour later. One morning I waited for 2 hrs after ordering for coffee the night before. And gladly the evening meals were delicious! Probably best in country! However the chef should be disappointed that they arrived cold. Stone cold (except for the first night). I wast told there was construction outside the door. Sadly this wasnt screened and really brought down the gorgeous spot. There were no power points near bed nor beside lamps, meaning you have to get out of bed to turn lights out, this doesn’t suit the price promotion of this villa. Do not stay here without a scooter or car. But even so, the roads and distance from restaurant are so bad, it’s clear there is investment is in the aesthetics, not the guests comfort and care.
