Had a very nice stay for three days. Beds were comfy, had plenty of towels and pillows and kitchen had just about everything we needed to cook there. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

The property was clean and check-in/out was very easy. Thank you.

The property was dirty. Pool was not maintained, leaves and dead bugs floating in the pool. The hot tub filter cover was broken, as were other components. House just seemed dirty overall, we left early so we could head back to our home in Lakeway so we could shower before continuing our weekend activities. Disappointing experience.

Great, cozy house that we had a girls' getaway weekend. The house was cozy and warm, with memories of childhood of my grandmother's house -- I believe they were built close in time. Parking was great out front, and had it not been cold and raining;/windy, we probably would have enjoyed the front porches more. Great weekend and highly recommend.

We rented the property for a family trip to Fredericksburg. Was conveniently located close to all of the shops in Fredericksburg. Pool and hot tub were very nice. The kids loved them. Internet was a little weak
Would highly recommend.

We had 4 couples coming in from various locations. This house was perfect for our group as there were no twin beds! Well appointed, comfortable beds, nice pool, great location!

We really enjoyed the house. Great pool area. Plenty of space. I might suggest switching out the shower head in the bathroom upstairs. Otherwise no problems at all. We had a great time!

We four childhood girlfriends had a great time visiting during our Fredericksburg stay. This house gave us several chatting areas (living room, pool, kitchen, dining room) to relax and visit. The rooms were comfy although, as it turned out, we chose one of the hottest weekends on record for our trip. The AC upstairs had a really tough time keeping up and so we bought oscillating fans to help. It would be great if those were on-hand for backup airflow (is is Texas afterall). Key pick up/drop off was easy. Pool beautiful (it would have been great to have a handrail at one of the steps). Kitchen was equipped well with coffee making setup, countertop icemaker, lots of wine glasses, and lots more. Thanks for a lovely place!

The house was great! The best part, besides the charm, was the pool and outdoor area. The ladies at Gastehause Schmidt did a wonderful job listening to what we wanted and finding this house.

Hi,
I just wanted to give you a review of my stay at the Carriage house this weekend. I have stayed at a number of your properties and this is the first time I have felt like I have needed to file a complaint.
I was surprised because I have normally always had a good experience with a Gaste Haus property.
To start with I stayed at this property with 4 couples. One of them being my parents, this was an early family Christmas celebration.
The descriptions stated this was a 4 bedroom house. This is most definitely not the case. The down stairs “bedroom” is a dining room that the owners put a bed in.
There is no closet and no doors to this room. There are two access points and the only way to shut off this room is to close the curtain. This is not something I would expect for a $600 plus a night accommodation. My parents had to sleep in a dining room off the kitchen. This was falsely advertised and an embarrassment to me because I selected the house.
Secondly the carpet in the whole house needs to be replaced. It was sticky and dirty. In the upstairs bedroom there are large chunks of carpet missing. I actually got a nail in my foot while walking out of the upstairs bedroom because the carpet is missing and the carpet tacks are exposed.
The whole house was dirty and any flaw was just covered up. In the living room there are two large fury blanks over love seats. Come to find out they are there to just cover up a cracked and dirty piece of furniture.
Also when entering the property We even found a marijuana pen left over from a former guest, I am guessing, in the bedroom. Again not giving the best feeling that the property was clean or well cared for. Definitely not something I expected to find at this price point of rental.

Awesome weekend getaway home. There were 4 couples total and we had plenty of room. We found the house to be very clean and stocked with everything we needed. Pool and hot tub is where we spent the most time. Would definitely stay again.

We had 8 ladies staying here and made use of the pool and the outdoor kitchen. The beds were large & comfortable and since we all had our own schedules we didn't mind sharing 2 bathrooms. We made all our meals in the kitchen and found all the utensils that we needed were provided. There were even a few staples but we brought all of our own as well. The pool was the highlight for our August trip. It was blazing hot outside and we used the pool day and night. It was spotless clean and had plenty of chairs around for lounging. I will definitely book Crockett house again. You'll need a car to get around as it's too far to walk to town but you are a short drive from all of the places that you will want to go. When you visit, be sure to hit the Peach Haus, Alstadt, Baron's Creek, the Christmas Store, and the Kitchen Store.

The Crockett House was absolutely perfect for our July 4 getaway with friends! It was set up and furnished nicely inside and outside. Gausthaus Schmidt was amazing to work with and made the entire rental process easy. We will certainly use them anytime we return to the area and will definitely stay at Crockett House again!

The location is the best thing about this place. They could make it a lot better if they cleaned the outside. The balcony looked like it never been clean. Outside by pool was very dirty. Grill and kitchen are pretty nasty. Pool is stained. Only 8 towels provided for 8 guests. They could make this place great if they just cleaned up.

The house good. The pool and hot tub were nice. I was disappointed in the kitchen. All the pans were old and dirty looking. Not everything we need was there. It said that coffee and tea were provided. We have 5 adults and 2 teens there for a 2 night stay and all that was there was 3 keurig pods. Seemed over priced for the home.

Old stove with broken oven and burners. Had to run to store for a crockpot to cook. Down stairs bathroom did not have hot water for a shower. Toilet seemed to be loose. House was dirty and dusty.

Everything about this property was amazing. I wish the pool was cleaner and it took awhile for the house to cool down but other than that this was the perfect spot for my sisters bachelorette weekend.

Great house with easy access to Main Street. Pool and hot tub were in good shape and the house had everything we needed for a place to unwind after a day spent on Main street and the Wineries.
