Great house to stay in with plenty of room for four couples! We especially enjoyed watching the elk in our back yard!

I stayed in this beautiful house for a getaway with friends and it was fantastic! I’ve stayed in many vacation rentals and this one really stands out from the pack. The moment I walked into the farmhouse, time seemed to slow down. It’s truly a historic beauty, both in architecture and decor. The host has managed to meticulously retain the wonderful historic features and also provide the modern amenities I want when on vacation. There is plenty of room for friends and family to spread out and feel comfortable and we found everything we needed. Located in the heart of downtown Maggie Valley, it’s in a perfect spot for exploring all the great things the area has to offer.

We stayed at this wonderful Maggie Valley Farmhouse for a week, which happened to be both Spring Break for our kids and Easter week. We shared the house with another couple and their kids, and we had plenty of space. The PRO's:- The house is immaculately clean, which is always important.- Each room is unique and had it's own charm. Feedback from all was that the beds are comfortable.- En Suite bathrooms are a nice benefit, especially with two families. - As well stocked as any home rental I've ever done. Everything you would expect and so much more. Including spices, all of the needed appliances (we used slow cookers, coffee maker and keurig machine), Nice charcoal grill with grill tools, plenty of dishware, pans, etc. There is even a collection of books and board games in great condition, as well as some outdoor toys and corn hole boards which the adults loved.- The yard is massive. Even with 4 kids running all over the place, I don't think they fully used all of the backyard.- The classic red barn, the creek nearby, 2 separate and spacious patios, flowers, made for an idyllic location. The kids outside easter egg hunt was epic!- Location: we have family in the Maggie Valley and Waynesville area, so we are familiar with the town. Lot's of family friendly activities, and the Farmhouse is in a great combo of in town, but still quiet and away from the noise. The CON's:- We had to leave! We can't wait to make another visit and stay at the Farmhouse again.Adam

What a delightful holiday weekend to relax and create memories with dear friends at this lovely farmhouse! This over 100 year old updated property was way more charming in person than can be captured in photos. The unique bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, spacious and well appointed, mine was upstairs with blue accents and an amazing heated bathroom floor! The hosts have filled the home with lovely art, antique furniture, plus added holiday decor for December, making us feel welcome and snug with an equipped kitchen and full coffee/tea setup. Maggie Valley and Waynesville offered us both casual and elegant dining, a Saturday farmer's market, shops and more. We couldn't have predicted a visit by local sacred elk, who munched on pumpkins while keeping a wary eye on us visitors. Quiet neighborhood with nearby stream and relaxing mountain views. So refreshing! We look forward to a future stay with more friends! If it was this fun in December, the other seasons will offer even more attractions. Thank you!

This was an absolutely magical place for our family reunion. There was more than enough room for four couples--each got their own spacious room with en suite bathrooms. It has all of the charm of a vintage farmhouse, but brand new finishes throughout, and it is immaculately clean. We all came together for group meals in the dining room, and also ate on the two porches. We were visited by elk every evening! We watched them feast on the enormous apple trees behind the back porch. During the day we enjoyed exploring the farm with its gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. We also went for horseback riding and whitewater rafting excursions, and enjoyed shopping and dining in nearby Waynesville. At night we went out on the town in quaint Maggie Valley, which is home to a live music and dance venue. We can't wait to come back!

We chose the farmhouse for the location and privacy, and it turned out to be the perfect getaway for our family. We've been to eastern NC but not Maggie Valley, and wanted a holiday for Mothers Day and to escape the hot, muggy weather here in St. Louis.
This house was just like the photos, maybe a bit better. Very clean and well cared for, spacious and full of light. The yard is huge so you don't hear the neighbors, actually, the house next door appeared empty. It's on a very quiet road.
The weather was gorgeous-- 70's and sunny. You hear birds singing in the trees in the morning. We also saw a few elk grazing behind the house on our first morning! Great photo opp.
We slept upstairs in the master / king size bed and were very comfortable.
Our kids chose rooms downstairs and liked having their own space. There are plenty of DVDs, puzzles, games and books in both the upper and downstairs living areas. Our daughter loved the room with floral wallpaper and pink bed linens.
Rooms were large including the bathrooms. There were plenty of extra towels and pillow options.
Internet is fast, which is a plus for checking in at work.
We especially enjoyed:
- having our early morning coffee on the spacious front porch each morning. Hearing the creek and seeing the mountains was a memorable way to start the day.
- taking photos with the big red barn and silo in the background.
- the light, bright kitchen, with views from the breakfast area table.
- walking around the neighborhood, seeing the creek and the neighbors' cows and horses.
Maggie Valley is a cute little town. We had a delicious dinner with warm, wonderful service at Home Craft (try the blackberry pie and visit the speakeasy downstairs). There are tourist type shops but also a nice vitamin/wellness store, organic coffee shop, and locally owned pharmacy with a wine shop attached so you can get an Rx along with beer or local wines to go with dinner.
Waynesville is larger, with more shopping and dining options. My wife and daughter loved exploring the shops and found a cute, old fashioned bakery (Kandi's) with cookies, cakes, pies, pastries of all kinds...
This was a short trip. But we will definitely be back to see more of the mountains and spend more time on the "farm."
