the location is the best and most beautiful in the world, unbeatable. The people as always are adorable!
The food could have been better. when i go to the tropics i want amazing fruit in abundance and seafood. the fish was tough and no other seafood apart from once. the only disappointment for the price

Location is absolute magic. Private beach, secluded cabin…. Staff is friendly and helpfull, even if little disorganized at a time….
The interior of the cabin is outdated, bed is not comfortable, no TV, no internet, no telephone signal.

Bit run down and in need of refurbishment in places

Located in the furthest of the Yasawa Island so it has the best sandy beaches with crystal clear water. The Fijian style bure is spacious, beautiful and the beach is right at our doorstep. We were coming to celebrate birthday and they specially prepared a cake with birthday song for us. The food was decent and with variety of choices every meal. We especially liked the breakfast and the seafood platter is a must try with abundance of fresh lobster, prawns and fish from pacific ocean. I also liked the relaxing spa at the seaside. There were a number of complimentary activities to choose from daily - we really liked the guided snorkel trip by boat, the coconut tasting, and the private beach trip cannot be missed for sure. The complimentary sea plane trip is a breath-taking experience. This may not be the typical 5-star hotel you experience elsewhere but it definitely provides an authentic and enjoyable experience in the tropical island.
Special Vinaka to Junior for being the most patient and trust worthy diving instructor, Oli for taking the most magnificent snorkel shots with our gopro camera, Nathan for always taking care of our every need coupled with his natural humor.
There are holes in the bures where insects can get in. The first night we came back to our room full of flying ants even on our bed after dinner. This can be mitigated by turning off the lights in the bedside.
We liked the staff is welcoming, cheerful and friendly but we would have wished more clarity in confirming our daily activities. It took us a while to figure out who is the right person for booking and he might have misguided us in our scuba diving schedule. We almost couldn't have our seafood platter because of lack of coordination with the kitchen despite expressing our interest to a number of staff.
There needs to be greater transparency in terms of pricing of activities and beverages, for example we were given a form to fill in for private picnic meals and there is no pricing indicated for alcoholic drinks. We were happy to pay for what we incurred but having the transparency upfront would be appreciated.

It was our second visit to Yasawa, and it was very positive, relaxing, and enjoyable. The staff were absolutely brilliant—always friendly, accommodating, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure our comfort. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the amenities provided were excellent. The location, although remote, made it pleasantly private and perfect for a peaceful retreat. The food included in our full board was delicious and varied, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. The resort runs multiple activities throughout the week, so there are plenty of options to explore the surroundings, meet the locals, and have fun. Early morning fishing trip was another nice adventure - suggestion is to go fishing with a bigger group (max 6 ppl), its more fun then.
There needs to be more transparency regarding charges, including taxes, credit card fees, etc. Additionally, during our stay, we were surprised to find that they started charging for non-alcoholic beverages, even though our booking included full board. This unexpected change felt unfair and quite confusing to us and our guests. We ended up having a chat with management, and they honored our booking conditions, which was a positive outcome indeed. The Yasawa.com website still states that all non-alcoholic beverages are included, and Booking.com also offers full board for new bookings, so it’s unclear how this will be handled in the future. Clear communication and consistency are crucial, and addressing these issues would significantly enhance the guest experience.
Another suggestion is to have firm mattresses with the option of an extra layer/cover for guests preferring a softer bed. The current beds were not really comfortable for us, and we also heard the same from other guests. Thin mattress from outdoor desk was actually more comfortable to sleep compared to the one in bedroom.

Location was great! Being a remote island, it has preserved its authenticity. Scenery is stunning as well as the beach. Food was very good. Staff was super friendly.
Luggage arrived late as they were waiting for another plane to deliver all luggages together. We also had issues with hot water.

The Fijian staff were amazing! So welcoming and friendly. The incredible surroundings were unforgettable. The activities which included private beach picnics went beyond expectations. Truly a vacation that would be hard to find elsewhere. A must do!
The ocean view from the burr suites however talking to management about I am confident they are working hard to make it better.

The location was excellent the people were outstanding and the experience very nice.
Whilst I appreciate supplies are difficult to get and a focus is on local produce the food handling and the final result of dishes served is not up to par. E.G Frozen bread or croissants when thawed should be heated up in an oven not served cold with a soggy wet bottom, no one is in a hurry and is quite happy to wait for a couple of minutes to have an edible croissant instead of mush. Cuisine is local but perhaps a little training to bring up the standard would be a worthwhile investment.

Yasawa Resort And Spa just exceptional - very private, lovely staff (you'll feel like staying with your family). Very quite, beautiful landscape, sunsets. It is expensive, but it worth it. Food selection is good, and hotel cater for specific dietary requirements.

Fresh uncooked produce/fruit was fantastic and plentiful, available on demand, served with a smile. However cooked options very variable and average at best.
Please refer to above. We did approach the Resort's owner and management to discuss the dramatic difference from our previous visit in 2016 and to discuss our bitter disappointment with the food quality delivered to our plates, a common talking point brought up continually by many other frustrated and disappointed guests. The owner said they would talk to the chef, however, we felt that the current chef's were doing their best, but were well out of their depths to have the skills to provide FIVE STAR dining. Even simple dishes were very variable, and not enjoyable e.g. eggs any way, french toast, any cut of meat whether that be pork belly, steak, salmon, lamb, tuna, etc etc.

Location was good and the staff fine.
The rooms are in need of some update. The air conditioning was barely fit for purpose and unable to cope with the room size. It was located directly over the bed which is not good as it does not allow a good nights sleep due to noise and cold chills.
Lack of internet into the rooms not really understandable in this day and age. needed to keep in touch with work but very inconvenient to have to do this from a public area.

The food could have been of a higher quality. Some was superb but some was very average

We liked the resort overall in general. What I loved the most was the seclusion and privacy overall. I rarely saw other guest except for meals and excursions. This was great. I especially loved the private picnics. This was by far the best! Next time I will book more picnics!! Staff very friendly.
I was a little disappointed in the amount of bugs that were in the rooms, but your on an island so some should be expected. We slept with many geckos and tons of ants/moths.

nothing we didn’t like

Location and access to remote experiences unprecedented. Staff was awesome.
Food and wine selections could have been better. Attention to guest food allergies was harder than necessary. Also, communication on arrival was poorly executed.

Staff were incredibly nice and helpful from start to finish. Fantastic meal service throughout our stay.
A/C units are too small for unit size

luxurious, remote and in sync with its community.
great food and service
remoteness comes with its own challenges for access - in particular after heavy rain

beautiful location. wonderful staff. lovely bures
The bed wasn’t up to standard, all springy and when lying down you could here the springs! After complaint they did change it for a new one which was much better. The spa was also not up to standard.

The remoteness of this resort was just as was expected, truely beautiful.
Given the remote location, the food was better than expected.
The picnic on a private beach for 4 hours is must do.
Was marketed as an adult only resort however had 10 - 12 kids there when we stayed there.
Staff though very friendly, lacked the professionalism expected for a resort of this price. Had to order drinks a few times, then would end up having to go to the bar myself to collect the drinks, wrong food orders and duplicate food orders were frequently being sent to the table.
Seems to be a lot of miscommunication between staff.
When checking out, bill was $100 overstated, though happy to remove, should have not been included.
If the weather is bad, the plane cannot come to collect you. It's a long 3.5 hour rough boat trip back to Nadi. This happened to me today.
