Worst stay we’ve experienced. Upon driving to the home I had to text the host for the door code as it was never communicated days or a day prior to arrival. Upon arrival we climbed up the stairs in a poorly lit area and the sidewalk was slick as snot from mildew. In the home walking through the kitchen there was food crumbs on the counter and a sticky dinner table. We pulled back the covers to the king size bed to find blood stained sheets with long strands of hair and other dried bodily fluids. I had to vacuum the main living area filling a half a canister of dog hair. The decking outside is rotting add not suitable for children to walk around without possible injury. The bottom of the slide outside is being held up by 5 bricks stacked on each other. The stairs are not met to builder code. The first step down is about two feet. It came to my toddlers waist. The hand rail has no spindles or post making it very easy for a toddler to fall through and onto the ground or next stair landing. Yes, there is a gate but toddlers are capable of unlatching the gate and falling down the stairs. If you have small children I do NOT suggest this house unless changes are made. If you are handicapped in any way. I would NOT suggest this house. The driveway was very steep and we were not able to make it up the incline driveway with a Ford Expedition. We did not complete our stay here as the living conditions were not suitable for our family.

After a terrible response from the rental company, I will leave my review here. Do not be deceived by these photos. House looks new and beautiful but it has clearly been a rental property that no one is really taken care of since the remodel. The top porch is unusable. Boards are rotten and there are holes in the wood. I almost fell through. It became a space we couldn’t even use. No grilling or sitting outside. The downstairs tub was completely clogged. It was very disgusting. Which makes me wonder if they even cleaned it between rentals. The stairs between the top floor and the upstairs are very very hard to get up and down. Would even describe it as a ladder. I had to carry child up and down every time. The top step is at least two feet down and multiple stairs were slanted and crooked. They packed in these tiny stairs and it was very very unsafe. If you have anyone older or really young traveling with you, they will not be able to get up and down them. The lack of communication about them in the listing is terrible. Our dog had to stay downstairs the whole time. Finally there are TONS of stairs to get up to the house. If you have a bunch of stuff to lug up into the home, be aware. The road leading in is also rough and not very well paved. Avoid this property unless you can verify they have cleaned and updated accordingly.

The house is amazing and perfect for families with older kids. We claimed the master on the main and the kids claimed the bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen is perfect for food prep and the deck is a great evening spot for getting together after a day on the lake. Everything was prepared for our stay. Thank you so much.

We specifically searched/asked for a 2 bathroom unit. I have colon cancer, and need my privacy and access. When we arrived there was a note on the table that the toilet on the Master bedroom level was turned off because it had a leak. The damage to the trim and floor were enough to know this was not a recent leak, and the unit was rented as a 2 full bath, knowing the toilet was not useable. I had to sleep upstairs in the double bed to be near the bathroom. I couldn't get up and down the ladder/staircase in the middle of the night trying to get to the upstairs bathroom. So, we had to sleep on different levels of the home, and I was not able to use the Master bedroom. The parking situation was challenging. I'm assuming the driveway is just parking at the bottom the steep drive up parking area at the top of the hill. It was pouring down rain and did not seem like a safe parking area. You would definitely need to go during the day to see where you are going, and you need at least an SUV. I'm glad we didn't take the car. The bathroom situation was the negative for us though. I felt it was fraudulently rented to us knowing that it was in fact NOT a 2 bathroom facility. There were other places that were cheaper with lower Maintenance fees but they were one bathroom and we chose to stay here due to having 2 bathrooms. We left a day early to go home due to the situation. I would definitely not stay here again.
