The location of this villa is where the positives end and even this is not exactly as described. The direct access to the beach is actually to the boardwalk not the beach and access is through a very rusted gate which is difficult to open. This area of beach is very rocky and not good for swimming or child friendly. The villa is very poorly maintained with failed glazing indoors and the ceiling had collapsed on the outdoor patio. Outdoor furniture was dirty and covered in mildew. The advertised BBQ is gas operated and the gas had run out. The air con is on a timer and no instructions were provide for operation. The timer switches are placed high on walls and can only be accessed by someone approximately 5ft 6in or above. The villa had not been properly cleaned and two beds were missing sheets. The Villa is advertised as having three bathrooms one of which is a shower room. What it fails to explain is that this shower room is no more than a cupboard and not within the villa but is accessed by passing through an outdoor courtyard and situated in the corner of a laundry room. Overall this villa is not value for money and does not provide the luxury experience I would have expected for the cost.

The spot of the villa Haar is beautiful direct along the seaside and the Senda Littoral (footpath) of approx. 200 km. long (!) where we could walk every day along the beach with the children. It is a great villa with a lot space inside and everything we needed. Bathrooms, kitchen, large living room, breakfast room, teras and downstairs a nice garden with private swimming-pool. Breakfast in the morning with a view of the sunrise from the sea is beautiful. Many good restaurants along the Senda Littoral walking path as well as in the neighborhood and in Calahonda. Ee also used the BBQ (gas) almost every evening (when the babies were sleeping). We have been in Calahonda several times in the past and this year with the family was absolutely the best. We hope to come back again. I really don't know!

The villa was lovely - beautifully situated and a breathtaking view. Close to all amenities, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. A little "tired" in terms of decor and cleanliness and subsequently we feel over-priced, but equally appreciate we're paying for the view and convenience. TV in lounge very small and not great access from all seating - and for the cost expected tv's in bedrooms as with other villas of comparable price. Caribasol staff were lovely and super helpful and we appreciated their kindness towards the local animal population. All in all we had a wonderful time and enjoyed staying in the villa very much indeed.
