Escape your worries in this Captiva Island beach bungalow. Enjoy the bright and cheery island décor throughout this three-bedroom two bath pool home. Surrounded by bright tropical vegetation, this home offers a perfect location to the Heart of Captiva as well as ultimate privacy. Equipped with everything you need to enjoy your vacation this bungalow features vaulted ceilings, tile floors in the living areas, a 47 inch flat screen TV in the great room, two DVD players, televisions for each bedroom, Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator, dishwasher, range, washer, dryer and dining table for six. The relaxing master bedroom has a king-sized bed, master bathroom with shower and its own private patio. The first guest room has two closets and two comfy twin beds. The 2nd guest room has a queen bed and sliding doors that look out over the tropical pool. Spend your days relaxing by the large screened in pool, reading a book in the screened in patio or walking on the beautiful beaches. Spend your nights enjoying the delicious island restaurants, watching amazing sunsets or listening to a local musician play tropical tunes. A truly perfect location “Wait N' Sea” is just minutes to the beach, the bay, the local marinas, and restaurants yet offers the seclusion of a private home.

We had a great family vacation in Captiva! Lovely house and great location near the beach. We especially loved the enclosed patio and pool area. We spent every morning and evening out there around our beach time!

I would rent through the local rental agency next time, not VRBO, with all their fees. This was our 2nd week on Captiva so we had the first house to compare this to. This house was the better of the two for sure! Good sized bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor space. It was super clean and welcoming. We communicated directly with the owners only and they were wonderful. The house was well stocked as with COVID we cooked every meal in. I can’t think of much else we would have wanted except maybe 2 more lounge chairs around the pool (there were 2 and there were 6 of us.) The house in a perfect location. Wonderful week! We would highly recommend this house! Thank you Dan and Sue!

We are always super happy with this home, and you cannot beat the location. Once you get your groceries, you really never have to drive anywhere again; everything is within walking distance!

I have stayed in this property many times. It is a great location, close to the beach and to at least 4 good restaurants in walking distance. I love the pool. The house is perfect. The kitchen has what you need. I do bring my own Keurig, but it has a coffee maker. I have stayed in 5 other houses on Captiva, but this is my favorite. I would only choose another if I had too many people.

On the positive side House is pleasant. Pool and deck area were very relaxing. Kitchen was nice with plenty of room and plenty of utensils. Bedrooms and bathrooms were as expected. Beach is only a two houses walk, very easy to get to. Excellent beach chairs provided. House decor is lovely. Check in, check out, linens, garbage etc, all worked like a charm. Easiest house I have ever rented in that respect. On the negative side Pool was a bit colder than we expected. TV selection was very hard to figure out, and changed from one room to the next. There were not many TV channels available, most were blocked. Beds were a bit soft. Lighting leaves something to be desired. All of the above would support a much higher review. But the worst part of the experience, and the reason that the score is so low, was the lawn crews. On one day, on three different occasions, people just emerged through the fence, in theory, working on the lawn (blowing, raking, watering). There ought to be some announcement, some scheduled time, etc. We had no idea that a crew would even be there at all, let alone 3 times on one day. Lucky we weren't chunky dunking at the time. We picked this house because of the privacy, it is screened from almost every angle. We would have been fine had there been a scheduled time for the crews to arrive, but to have them just appear through the gates and immediately into the pool area unannounced, is unacceptable. Most of the house windows face the pool and deck, and we preferred to leave the windows open for natural light as much as possible, but with workers in the yard, if one were changing clothes at the time, one would have been easily spotted by the workers. FYI, the VRBO website doesn't allow me to check the "not really" button next to the question "did you love your stay?". Only option is "I loved it." Please fire your programmers and hire some teenagers.

This is a great beach home for a family of 4-6. You are just yds away from the beach (no more than 1 minute walk). The house has basic beach stuff such as cart, chairs and umbrella. The pool is great for relaxing or playing games and the outside seating area in the lanai and under shade was just right when you wanted to escape the sun. Kitchen is well equipped and the fridge/freezer was a good size for a 1 week stay. Master bedroom and bath were a good size and bathroom was clearly recently fitted and was modern. Lovely shower. Bathroom #2 is basic but just right for kids. House has some games and puzzles and a few DVDs to use if you didn’t bring your own. BBQ is a gas type and large enough to cook 4-6 burgers or steaks at a time. Pool area and house is very private as it is well landscaped around the house and a privacy fence at the front. Unfortunately for us, Southwest Florida was suffering from Red Tide while we were there. By our 4th day, the beach was not an option for anything due to all the dead fish on shore and floating in the water. It meant the whole island was much quieter than normal but without a beach, island trips or fishing your choices are limited. That’s not the fault of the house of course and so while our vacation was not 5 stars, the house was 5 stars and it helped make up for a disappointing week.
