Receptionist friendly and very helpful.
Dining room staff in casual dining I think her name was Amy helpful and friendly really good,
a credit to the hotel. As indeed were all the staff we met.
The bed was very comfortable. Decor really good.
A fridge in the bedroom would have been nice to keep drinking water cool.
A lighter blanket on the bed, it was very hot with the blanket and then cool when I turned it down.

Lovely, friendly staff. Very good value. Food was great. The best thing was probably the grounds; we did all three walks and they were amazing.
The room was in definite need of an upgrade; one of the windows was dirty and everything was a little dated. But for the price, that is expected.

location
kinda cold in all the bar and dining areas

Nicely decorated for Christmas. Good food in Palm Court dining area. Staff were very courteous.
Heating was turned off in bedrooms and en-suites, so it was freezing cold. No food served or allowed to be brought into the bar - seemed very strange policy. Those comforts make a world of difference and were absent. No atmosphere in the hotel.

We really enjoyed walking the grounds & the details they’ve taken to maintain the structure and life of the castle rooms. Parking was incredibly easy and when you first arrive, it’s a “larger than life” feeling to see the castle and property. It was beautiful!
The castle is a little more accommodating to non-family groups as the dining rooms are very quiet, which was at times awkward for us since we are traveling with two toddlers.

The hotel is beautiful, fabulous character and atmosphere. Room ( Castle Room) was spacious, pristine and elegant. The grounds and setting are amazing with wonderful walks and scenery.
EV charging a big plus too!
We did expect the hotel to be a little but found the drinks quite costly.
One complaint my wife had was that the air conditioner did not work in the room at all ( Room 115).
