About this cottage rental
Aloha! Charming beachy 2 bedroom, one bathroom cottage on Oahus famous North Shore. All new stainless steel appliances, fresh fluffy towels and amazing sheets. WiFi, internet, cable, and AC in bedrooms.
-The Master has ice cold AC, bedroom fan, a super comfortable king bed, desk/chair and a great sized closet.
-The Guest room has AC, bedroom fan, and a nice closet. -The bathroom has a shower and tub for soaking after a long day of surfing or hiking. Fresh fluffy towels and stocked with shampoo/conditioner/soap. The living room has a big screen TV with cable and a futon that turns into a bed if desired.
Bonus:One parking space and a washer and dryer on property. Our friendly and loving pets share the property too (one dog and one cat). We are 1.5 miles from the beach and 3 miles from the famous Haleiwa town where there are beaches, restaurants, shops and our famous Haleiwa Harbor. We own a boat charter that offers shark diving, whale watching, fishing, snorkeling and sunset cruises. We will offer a discount to our guests so please let us know if you are interested in booking an excursion. ***This propert only accepts one rental per 30 day period. Sarah and her family made us feel like family. From booking all the way through checkout, Sarah made sure that we had what we needed and if we didn’t, exactly where to get it. All of their recommendations for dining and activities were spot on! And I can’t forget Huck greeting us when we came home!
The home itself was spacious enough for our family with two teens. We never felt like we were on top of each other. The location being so close to town made getting around easy and convenient. The only thing I wish is that we could’ve stayed longer! Whenever we do get back to Hawaii, we will not hesitate to book with Sarah again! Mahalo for everything , Sarah and family!

Loved our time with the Bruner’s! Everything was perfect when we arrived! Communication was excellent! They have everything you would need from beach equipment to kitchen equipment! Thank goodness they provided coffee for our first morning! We would love to go back!

Everything we needed for our family of four to enjoy to north shore and come back to a clean, comfy place to stay. The house felt fresh and new and the beds were comfy! Stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel/fins. Hosts were so helpful. The only downside is it’s not walking distance to town or beach but it’s a very short drive to incredible beaches and adorable town so not a problem. We really were happy with finding this place and being able to stay.

This property was perfect. It had everything we needed to set up a homebase for our trip. The cooler was a lifesaver! Its location was ideal, close to everything we needed, but far enough away from the crowds.The hosts were amazing, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. (Thanks again for that frozen pizza!😁) They offered great suggestions for restaurants, beaches and activities. AND there was Huck, the dog. We miss him already! Thank you for everything- the amazing accomodations, and kindness. You made our trip better than we could have hoped! Hope to be back soon!♥️

We loved the property! Great location directly in the middle between laie and Honolulu. Quiet and out of the way. Sarah was a gem and was super friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay again!

Ryan & Sarah were just Amazing! So warm & lots of Aloha and like family. We were beyond blessed for all of their accommodations . We were surprised with her and freshly baked yummy sourdough bread We definitely picked a Perfect place for us and we will definately be back. 😘

My 16 yr old son and I stayed here and had a the best time! Cottage is spotless, comfortable, close to beaches, food and shopping. The hosts were extremely accommodating and easy to get a hold of. Check in/out was easy peasy, and our host hooked us up with their Shark Dive Charter - Hawaii Ocean Adventure Tours (better than One Ocean Diving) where we got to free swim/dive with sharks for an unforgettable experience. Wish we could have stayed longer, and definitely plan to visit again!

Sarah and Ryan were wonderful hosts, very communicative and available throughout our visit. The location and home were perfect! We truly felt we were coming “home” every evening after a long day of activities. As a bonus and being a dog lover, the highlight was having their pup Huckleberry greet us each morning. You won’t be disappointed!

The cottage was perfect!! It was very clean and comfortable and we felt safe and secure there. The property was everything we could have asked for. The beds are extremely comfortable, the AC was awesome and the kitchen was well stocked. There were so many extras like beach chairs, beach towels and boogie boards etc. We were also able to do laundry which was very helpful. Sarah is wonderful, she is so kind and easy to work with. I am afraid of dogs and she took her time to introduce us to their dog Huckleberry. He is very nice and to the shock of my family, I actually liked him! She also gave us suggestions on places to go and things to do. She suggested swimming with sharks which I had never thought I would ever do, but we did it and it was the highlight of our vacation. Sarah and Ryan actually own a tour and adventure company, if you are going to book any tours check with them first!! I wish I would have known before we had already booked and paid for all of ours.
We felt very fortunate that this was the property we chose for our vacation. We will absolutely stay there again! Ryan and Sarah thank you for everything.

Great rental in Waialua, short drive to Haleiwa. Clean. Even better feeling than what the photos show. Friendly and responsive hosts. Would definitely stay again!
This is a unit on the back part of the hosts' property. And while I wasn't quite sure how it would work with being a back unit etc, it might have been the best part of the whole rental experience because they were the most amazing hosts and we had a nice time talking with them and hanging with Huckleberry (the friendly dog - but he does not go into the rental unit at all)! And if you want privacy, once you go into the back house, you can't even tell you're on a shared lot.
There is AC in both bedrooms and if you keep the bedroom door open it cools off the living room easily. The futon is fairly large and drops down flat and there is a full sheet set if you need a third "bed".
They hold one street parking spot for the unit, but anything beyond that might be a challenge in this neighborhood.

We had a wonderful visit while Sarah and Ryan were great hosts with amazing recommendations, but honestly….Huckleberry was the star of the show…chillest pooch on the island for sure!
This was the perfect spot for us to enjoy the North Shore and travel into the city. If we make it back we would definitely hope this cozy space is available!

The property was perfect for our week long stay, and the hosts were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating! This little cottage is perfect for a group of 4 or a family traveling together, and the location was also great. Lots of great beaches, food joints, and hikes around and our stay could not have been any more perfect. The cottage was also a lot more spacious than anticipated. Next time we are in Hawaii we will definitely want to come back and stay here, we can’t recommend this place enough!

Our stay on the North Shore was a dream! I will admit that initially after realizing that our rental shared a yard with the owners, I was a little hesitant but I trusted the reviews that other guests had left. All worries were put aside as soon as I met our hostess Sarah. She was very welcoming and informative. The house had everything and more for my daughter and I. It was also in the perfect location for all things in the North Shore! I would definitely stay here again if I get a chance to visit Oahu again!

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah and Ryan's lovely little cottage. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Check-in was a breeze, and our hosts were available to answer any questions we had. Having a dedicated parking spot, a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and a patio where our 1-year-old could play made it feel like home away from home. The location was perfect: close to world-class beaches and all the amazing restaurants, shopping, and outdoor recreation the North Shore has the offer. Our son had a blast playing with Sarah and Ryan's two boys, their sweet dog Huckleberry, and their cat Midnight. We will definitely be back. Thanks again to our host family for their kindness and hospitality! ❤️

We really enjoyed our stay on the North Shore at Sarah and Ryan's place. The location was very easy to find and they always had a parking space ready for us (parking can be very challenging on Oahu). They were very flexible on check-in time and quick communicators with us. The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Both beds were soft and supportive with good pillows. There was a hot water kettle, french press, and keurig for all your coffee desires. The kitchen had all the dishes we wanted, and a dishwasher too (I don't like doing dishes by hand on vacation). Wifi was strong in the living room. The shower had good hot water supply and pressure. The AC worked well in the bedrooms. We only needed AC overnight while sleeping.
Note this is a "B" unit house behind the owner's house, so you might see or hear your lovely host family at times, including their very sweet & well behaved dog Huckleberry every day. Overall the place feels very secure.
FYI: Bird songs might wake you up at sunrise. Wifi was a little spotty in the bedrooms, but great in the living room.

The weather was amazing. Hawaii New Year was amazing with a tons of fireworks in the street. The property owners were great hosts and helped us get where we needed to go. They took us out on their boat for a great experience snorkeling with the sharks.

Sarah was fantastic to accommodate our requests. The space was clean and welcoming. The AC is noisy but in this part of the island window units are norm.
We needed to seek medical help for an emergency which interrupted our stay however would visit again. The north shore beaches were unforgettable.

Everything was spotless and exactly as described. if you are visiting it is close to the nicest beaches on the island on North Shore. Lots to do and see.
The crowning jewel though of the property is the amazing hospitality & aloha of the hosts. The entire family is helpful and sweet. Communication was always immediate.
We didn't want to leave but left knowing we have new "ohana" (family in Hawaiian).

We felt so lucky we could stay here since we could walk to an event at Waialua High School. The kitchen and bathroom sinks were wonderfully updated. Cute decor. Just like in photos. Great for kids, host had kids utensils, plastic plates and cups available, and stepstool for the bathroom. Definitely best for kids comfortable with dogs (my son has a phobia, but their dog was so friendly and it worked out fine). Parking was marked and easy. Occasional street noise but we found it more peaceful and quiet than a hotel in town.

The house is great and exactly what we needed for our little family. Very clean and gave us all the room we needed.

We had a wonderful time. The place was clean and relaxing. It was close a close drive too, two beach parks for turtle watching. Sara and Ryan were very knowledgable about the area if you had any questions. We would definitely stay there again.

Myself and sister (late 40's), mom and niece stayed a week at this lovely beach cottage. It's in a good, local neighborhood, very close to everything. The unit and property are both clean and comfortable. Host family is on site in a separate house. You wouldn't even know they're there other than their warm welcome and sincere north shore aloha. It was a great experience.
