About this house rental
Located in the center of Galveston's East End Historic District, close to all of the city's amenities (mostly walking distance) - beach, Strand, cruise ship seaports, coastal activities, shopping, tours, and loads of restaurants. This is a fully restored 1891 East Lake Victorian. 1512 Ball St. is over 3,600 sq ft. of large spaces for multiple families to gather. New kitchen with large range, dining spaces, large porches, and beautiful views of the city on one of the best blocks in East End.
As they used to build, all of the living/sleeping spaces are oversized. It includes 3 master suites (2 king and 1 beautiful double queen), with private remodeled bathrooms. The 4th bedroom has 2 double beds and a remodeled bathroom. One of the upstairs masters has a parlor with a very comfortable sectional sofa and TV for relaxing or sleeping. The downstairs master has a large PRIVATE office with a couch, fireplace, and super-fast Wi-Fi for people who need to be "connected". All mattresses, bedding, and towels are new. The kitchen is newly stocked with a 36" gas range/oven combo and a convection microwave. There is a large stone island and serving bar with bar stools to gather and make a meal. The pantry is an actual room with an additional fridge, so you won't have to worry about having enough space for storing food/drinks. The large dining table seats 10 with a powder bath nearby. This is all part of the "great room" for family gatherings. There is a comfortable reading nook for a quiet moment. 4 oversized rocking chairs on the porch to oversee the city views and enjoy the sea breeze. The decor is a mix of old Victorian, Coastal, with Modern Comforts (probably best described by the pictures). The ocean is a few blocks away in two different directions from the house. The famous Galveston strand is walking distance from another direction which boasts coastal view restaurants, shopping, ice cream / candy shops, and popular tourist activities. Please check to see if the Old Opera House has anything playing you would enjoy, it is a beautiful experience. Large grass yard for cooking out. Golf carts are available for delivery. There is plenty of free parking both in the front and the back of the house, accessed via the ally.

We wanted a home close to everything and this was perfect! We drove into town, parked our cars and walked everywhere-to the beach (to watch the dog surfing competition!) and also walked to the Strand to enjoy a ghost tour, dolphin tour and an adorable coffee shop. The house was lovely-plenty of room, comfy beds and charm. Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and would recommend!

Our group of 11 just loved your historic home in Galveston that you have updated. It was just perfect for us. We did a little cooking, and ordered in for dinner. We had fun walking to the Strand and enjoyed the history of the house. We greatly appreciate you letting our daughter stay at the house on Wednesday night. The only thing we would suggest is that VRBO change the wording on the parlors. The rooms do not have couches that make out to beds. Our guests were amenable, and actually found the family room couches VERY comfortable. Just something I noticed if people are looking at the website. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your home and all of the beautiful personal touches you have adorned it with.

This house is amazing. It’s a beautiful combination of historic rooms and modern furnishings. There were 10 of us, but there was so much room, we occasionally lost a person. One thing I loved was the huge dining table. We were all able to sit down and have dinner together. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were large. If you have a big group, this is the place to rent. Host is easily accessible and helpful. Would definitely rent again!

A group of friends rented this place for NYE weekend. We loved our stay! The house was truly awesome. Plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms for all of to have our own space. Beds were all very comfortable and the bathrooms all super clean. We stayed in one night to cook dinner in the fantastic, well-stocked kitchen.
We LOVED the location. Walking distance to our favorite restaurants/bars!
Great house - I can not recommend it enough!

The property is beautiful. Me and my family stayed two nights. We loved that they kept pieces of the history still in the home. Each room was so beautiful and detailed. It was very clean and smelled so good. They had all the supplies that you may need and the communication with the property owners was amazing. Even our young set of people in our group started taking pics in the home. They loved it. It’s so spacious as well and you can tell they thought the details out well when it comes to family dinners and breakfast together. It is just so great that I can go on and on. Everything is so close as well if you want to eat or just chill at the beach. We will be back🙌

We booked this house as a first time VRBO experience. Upon arrival, this house is located in a historic neighborhood in Galveston. The 100+year old home has ample parking with room for 2 cars out front and 2 in the back. It has plates and all needed dishes for cooking.
It’s centrally located between the Strand and Stewart Beach and historic Gaidos restaurant.
Enjoyed sitting out on the front porch in the rockers.
We would definitely stay here again. Very lovely home.
