About this cottage rental
Summary:
This beautiful house is nestled in the picturesque lakes region in the town of Bridgton, Maine located at Moose Pond in the private community of Knights Hill. The association has a beach, tennis courts, and a pool for your use. Our house is 2 minutes from the association's private beach with playground, kayaks, docks, and fishing. Drive up the road 3 minutes to get to Pleasant Mountain for day or night skiing! This year-round home is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family, and it's super kid-friendly.
About the space:
This home accommodates 8-10 in beds. There are 4 bedrooms plus an office with a pull-out sofa, and there are 3 full bathrooms (showers only, no tub). There are also 2 living rooms, a large caterer's kitchen, and a dining room area. You'll have parking in a two-car garage so if it's snowy, you can avoid exposing your car to the elements. In the summer, avail yourself of our two kayaks. We also have life jackets, sports equipment, pool toys, board games, a large-screen TV with Roku (but no normal TV FYI), and most other things you might need to have a fun and relaxing escape to the Maine Lakes Region.
Located on a quiet wooded lot with easy access to our neighborhood pond (beach), pool, tennis and basketball court, and playground just a short walk or bike ride down the road. Other outdoor entertainment includes a gazebo with a hammock, a gas grill, & hiking everywhere. We raised little kids here for a few years and it's easy to keep them busy all day long, and have a bit of fun yourself in the process!
Our home features terrific open living areas with a cozy propane-stove and in home entertainment. High speed Wi-Fi throughout the house.
We provide new cozy bedding, linens, pillows, kitchen, bath & beach towels.
About the area:
Bridgton is classic Maine. You're in the woods but close to convenience: great restaurants, pubs, a brewery, a movie theatre, one of the last remaining drive-in movies, antique shops, golf, Pleasant Mountain for skiing and hiking, boutiques, art galleries, a public swimming pond, a bookstore, grocery stores, diners and more. Many summer weekends, you'll find "Music on Main", a music event that attracts local music acts and food trucks. There are tons of art shows, a circus, and other small-town New England events throughout the summer and fall.
We are 20 Minutes to the east of North Conway, 45 minutes to Story Land, 90 minutes to Santa's Village. 60 minutes to Portland. The Fryeburg Fair (1st week of October) is only 10 minutes away. And forget about traffic, we don't deal with it here!

The space, Moose Pond and kitchen were perfect. The pool was awesome but because we came late in August, the kids preferred the lake as pool too cold. Love the quiet and back bedroom!

Very comfortable and well equipped, and minutes from the lake beach.

Had a very nice week at this quiet home on Moose Pond. Everything was clean and ready for us upon checking in. Close to Bridgton and Fryeburg/North Conway. Very well stocked, everything you could need was supplied. Selection of games and books was great, especially the books for kids. Common beach was nice, not crowded at all. Did not utilize the kayaks, but easy accessible. One of the beds could use a new mattress, but otherwise the place easily accommodated the 9 of us. Didn’t have any problems or issues during the week.

Liz was a great host, house was clean, plenty big enough for us and kitchen was great. We hit a snag our second day when fridge died. Called Liz and she had somebody out there within an hour, at 6:00 pm, when she realized it couldn't be fixed she worked tirelessly to get us a new fridge by mid day next day. The only thing missing was nighttime outdoor space. We wish there was a firepit or that the gazebo was cleaned enough to use. But we made use of all the games inside and had a great time!!

Clean spacious house just a few miles from town. Nice pool and beach areas. Kayaks were fun. One negative is the listing indicates there is a hot tub, there isn’t. Host said they would correct the listing, I’m sure they will.

Great place to relax post skiing! Large enough to spread out but still warm and cozy with the fire place; fun games, dress up outfits, toys for kids. Three bathrooms were also great. Liz was extremely responsive and a great host. Looking forward to future visits.

When we arrived at the house, we were instantly in love . The house is equipped with everything that you could possibly need to enjoy your stay . The owners thought about everything from comfort to kids dishes to games and outdoor fun. We spent six nights, and it was exactly the getaway that we needed. The location is amazing. The layout of the house is beautiful. Liz is such a responsive host. She is very quick to return your messages and fix any issues that might arise. My family and I enjoyed our stay immensely and can’t wait to return in the future.

Our first visit to this part of Maine was wonderful! Liz’s home in Bridgton was in a great location, spacious & comfortable. The beach/pond area and nearby pool was so nice to have in walking distance. Day trips to Portland & New Hampshire were easy from this spot. Liz was a really responsive host and left some great recommendations in the home guide. She made our stay really comfortable, would love to visit again!

My mother and I celebrated her 94thbirthday in this lovely home. She is ambulatory with a walker and this home was perfect. It is completely handicap accessible including showers.
Even though it rained the entire time we were there we enjoyed the home and the lake. We’ve been visiting Bridgton for over 30 years and this trip didn’t disappoint.
I left a pair of earrings and the host was kind enough to mail them to me.
I highly recommend this home for a large group get together.
Looking forward to a return visit.
