Amazing view, nice city and a very nice appartment
We were very happy with the apartment we rented. It had every kitchen appliance we could possibly need, tv in two rooms and boardgames to use. The view was also amazing, though you should be aware that you need to be able to climb to the fourth floor in order to get to the apartment and the view. Nice bathrooms and beds and everything was very tidy and clean. Best suited for a family seeing as the downstairs bed is a doublebed and then there's two single beds on a second floor under the roof. All in all we would definitely recommend this apartment as well as the city to any of our friends.

Flat 7 Elliott Terrace, Plymouth
I have stayed in hotels and self catering flats and houses all over Devon and including Plymouth specifically over the years. I grew up in West Hoe, on the right as you look out of the windows of these flats. I have fond memories, particularly of the Hoe and the waterfront. Tinside, Pebble Beach, Rusty Anchor, Boys Pool & Girls Pool. This venue is by far the best I have had the pleasure to stay in. Probably because of the memories it provokes. In any case, I arrived, parked the car and except for visiting the Supermarkets and my Family close by, I didn't need to use my car. Everything is on hand. Beach, Barbican, Town Centre, Restaurants, bars and clubs if required. Even Takeaways can deliver. If you have a view of Plymouth Sound, then that's your Television. No need for media. I find it memorising. If an event is on the Hoe, then sadly you suffer the noise!
Regards the accommodation. Excellent. However, I am a big man and I was scared to sit on the chairs, I think my weight broke an armchair that was the only high seated apparatus. I mention this as I have had 2 hip replacements and have issue with my back. The seating is far too low. The TV was huge and I want one, but I couldn't relax i the sitting/dining room for fear of breaking the seats. The sofa is far too low for me but an average size family I'm sure would be very comfortable indeed. Sadly, The bed broke under me on our last night. I might get self conscious because of this but I was on my own and sadly it gave way. I feel that although a very modern decor and in vogue furnishings, the flat was envisaged as the average family.
A must mention is the kitchen. Fridge Freezer, Washing Machine/Tumble Dryer Combi, Dish Washer. Fantastic. We needn't have brought so much clothing with us had we appreciated the facilities available.
The main thing to bring to attention though is the property itself. If you are elderly, have a form of disability or in general unfit, then you will be fitter but the end of your stay. There isn't a lift and carrying luggage and foodstuffs to the top of the house was heavy going. I do suffer from mobility issues and this was problematic for me. If you are booking this venue, then please ensure that you enquire re accessibility. It is not user friendly. Luckily I had an 11 and 13 yr old to carry things for me.
I final word for Hayley. She was very accommodating and nothing was a problem.
I personally can't wait for the rest of the rooms to be refurbished. I have no hesitation in wanting to go back at all. I just fear the costs will be prevent me from doing so. If the lift gets installed, then this venue is worth considering for your self catering stay in Plymouth.

Wonderful flat, amazing view, A LOT of stairs
Would absolutely give this property 5 stars if the lift was installed. I was well aware of the stairs, and viewed it as an opportunity to get in some exercise, but wouldn't want anyone to think climbing the stairs was for those with small children and luggage. The flat couldn't have been better- it was lovely and clean. It felt as if we were the first to stay there, although clearly we weren't. The locations is ideal, less than 10 minute walk to city center, Barbican, and situated close to many cafes on the Hoe. We will definitely be back!

Amazing views and Lovely Flat-
Climbing the 89 steps required to access the flat, is exhausting but well worth the view and accommodations. I would recommend packing light. The house manager is attentive to all the details and the flat was lovely. Close location to the Hoe, Barbican, and City Center was convenient for dining, shopping, and sight seeing. We will absolutely be back.

Nice inside but overpriced
When I booked I advised I was bringing elderly parents who couldn't walk too far, and nothing was said about the eight flights of stairs up to the apartment!! Great location for the fireworks and lovely view but VERY noisy with fairground just outside from noon til 11pm. Only one bathroom off the main bedroom so others had to disturb people in the night to use the loo! Very precarious stairs up to 2nd bedroom and upstairs lights didn't work. Decor inside is very nice but the hall/stairway is very shabby. Lovely inside but all the other points let it down so I wouldn't stay here again and don't rate as good value for money.

Not value for money!
It didnt look at all like the pictures of the place when we ordet it at the internet. Bad conditions. Not value for money. The building is in bad conditions.

Nice Apartment but 100 stairs to reach it!
We stayed overnight for our son's graduation ceremony. We booked as there were 6 beds available for our son's and our parents, sadly we didn't check what floor it was on. We were on the top floor and there was no way our parents could have managed the 100 stairs to get
Up there so we had to book an additional room at a nearby hotel. There is also only one bathroom/toilet between 6 so logistics was a challenge. The apartment was in nice condition and we'll appointed.

was offered the highest floor and you would start to think is it a holiday still
the place itself is nice if you are prepared to leave the luggage behind and want a brisk walk 5 floors up. With the family and stuff its just not a right place for me.

10 flights of stairs NO Lift
10 flights stairs we weren't advised no lift. Extremely difficult getting luggage up. A Neighbour had to help me as I am traveling with 3 children. Freezing 1st night had no heating couldn't find how to turn on. Shower dreadful no water pressure and went from cold hot cold hot. Security poor. Not 4 stars more like 2 stars. No reception. No facilities. Apartment in residential building. Overpriced. Interior needing update. But best views in Plymouth and very comfortable bed.

Prime location and great value for money
We are not too fussy about the conditions anywhere we go. We booked this apartment due to it's location right by the seaside. The conditions were good with all new appliance in kitchen although a front was missing of the built in dishwasher. Also the bathroom needs updating beside this the living / dining room was great with its sea view and all new furnishings. And it looks like it's all being taken care of and modernised.
