Great service, not so great breakfast, but overall nice.

My recent stay at this hotel was quite average, deserving of a 3-star rating. While the location was convenient and the rooms were generally clean, there were a few issues that affected my overall experience.
One of the more frustrating aspects was the air conditioning situation. The hotel has controlled settings, meaning you don't have full control over the temperature in your room. After returning from a long day out, I found my room uncomfortably hot. It wasn’t until I called the front desk that the situation was addressed. It’s an inconvenience that could be easily avoided if guests were given control of their own room temperature.
Another issue arose at checkout when I was asked if I had taken anything from the mini-bar, despite it being completely empty when I checked in. It was a small thing, but it added to the feeling that attention to detail was lacking.
However, the most significant and unsettling experience during my stay was when new guests were mistakenly checked into my room in the middle of the night. I was already asleep when I was abruptly awoken by the sound of people entering the room. The hotel had given them keys to my room without realizing it was already occupied. This was not only inconvenient but made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe.
While the hotel did apologize for this mistake, it left a lasting negative impression. For these reasons, I can only give this hotel an average rating of 3 stars. It has potential, but these issues, partic

brand new hotel. restaurant was still under construction when i stayed. would have been an excellent stay but my room had no natural light. make sure to book a room with a street view. interior view will have you looking at a wall and feeling like you’re in a prison cell.

This hotel has only been open for 7 months, unfortunately we were not informed that it's actually still under construction. The construction noise was very loud. The noise is prevalent en all rooms. Also the central air conditioning for the room is not controlled in the room, you have to call reception for temperature changes. Another issue was that the lights and the ventilation for the bathroom cannot be turned off.

Very clean hotel. The staff was superb! Accommodating and friendly! Alejandro and Christian were fantastic!

The only complaint I have is the noise early morning that the hotel staff make outside of your room. Also you can hear people from the next door doing you know what but that doesn’t last for long. If you have trouble with your Spanish or need help with anything, ask for jimmy he takes good care of you.

The property was fully renovated. On Thursday and Friday there was active construction, taking place in the hotel, which disturbed my sleep even after notifying the front desk I was not aware of active renovations, taking place on Expedia.

Good points: iron availabilite with no extra charge, large rooms and safe box in the room.
Bad points: no hot water for first 10 minutes, very basic breakfast ( slice of watermelon and slice papaya or omelette) with small portions; airconditon controlled by reception only (you need to call to change the temperature).

This was a great stay for the price. It was very clean, up to date, and in a walkable area. Close to beaches, 6 min ride to wall city and cruise port. It's next to grocery store. Only thing staff didn't tell me the drinks in the fridge wasn't free. 😂
(Guess I'm used to all-inclusive when I do beaches)

Hotel is clean and new. Rooms and bathrooms are nice. Great place to stay unless you need to sleep. No sleep possible most nights. Incredibly loud music and earth shattering beats most nights until 4am. Luckily for us, Sat night, beats were dropping hard until 6:30am. The windows stopped shaking as the sun rose up.

The hotel staff has been very attentive and respectful of the guests. It’s been a pleasure to stay at RILUX.

It was a nice hotel but without a pool, without having a restaurant for meals other than breakfast, no iron, no laundry service and the shower was cold but we still had good experience but there is room for improvement

The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was really good. It’s very accessible to all attractions, most taxis are only $3 fares to most attractions in the walled city. Really enjoyed staying there.

At first, I was excited cause the hotel opened about a month ago,but the first morning was woken up at 6am because they were doing construction.Which goes on all day,the hallways are dirty with dusts from the construction and the smell of paint is EVERYWHERE.The hotel only serves breakfast, nothing else.No room service, not even water. The amenities are, well there are none, and aside for 2 tiny bottles of soap and a tiny bar of soap you get nothing. The second day I was woken up again by construction at 7am. The water went out several times during my 2 day stay too! My driver was late picking me up because of protests along the way and the hotel wouldn’t grant me a late check out. Had to book a whole new day so that I could check out at 2pm instead of 12pm. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worse enemy. Maybe it’ll change once construction is finished but for now I’d suggest you stay away. They can’t even keep the water running.
*** Update ***
Since someone from the property decided to have the audacity to reply to my review and say I didn’t call to request a late check out. I suggest you look at your cellphone ( Oh yeah, that’s right! I forgot…This hotel does not, I repeat DOES NOT have phones. They use WhatsApp. Which they don’t answer 9/10 times.I had to call 8 times (Backed by screenshots that I can provide if you’d like) just to talk to someone about the construction noise at 7am.Her excuse? She was on the other line, I guess she’s never heard of calling people back?

This hotel has good potential. But it’s not finished yet. No pool, no gym, but it will definitely be really nice when finished.

I will not choose to come back to this hotel
+good stuff at reception , guys very kind and friendly
+The hotels looks new and clean
BUT I will NOT choose to come back to this hotel for the few reasons .
-we change room 3 times cos one we book was busy ,
We didn’t get If “hotels.com or hotel itself made mistake”
So I can make review of 3 different types of rooms
- Concept of Rooms king size are very uncomfortable,
-There is no door at the toilet and toilet right in front of bed , room is very very small so there is no privacy and smells from toilet covers all room when someone using it .
- no hair dryer
- air conditioning system is terrible for me . Its installed against the bed , so it’s super uncomfortable to sleep , the wind goes right to your body ,
my ear get inflamed cos so strong wind
- You can’t regulate temperature, fan , speed of wind
just reception can , and you have to call them everytime you want to adjust. but they Dosent know how to regulate speed of fan , swings of Airconditioner
So if you are sensitive to air conditioning, think twice
- they dont have light blanket to coverup in case you don’t want to use big one
-iron was busy and we could not use it. Seems they have just 1 for all hotel
-breakfast was very poor , by menu .
At your choice just eggs , one cup of coffee ( NON REFIL ) , just 2 slices of fruit , one glass of juice (non refil)
- swimming pool was closed all the time

Brand new place so everything is nice. No luxury, but all you need, comfortable beds, ample shower space, good hot water/cold control. Toilet pressure could be higher. Good breakfast. I wonder if when it starts getting more people if a buffet will be faster and more convenient. For now is fast enough. Service experience was pretty good. Hope it stays like that. They could have more international channels such as news in English. AC is not controlled by you in the room but it was decent. Ask for a second room key so you can keep the room cool because if you remove the key the AC turns off.

Decent place, tough if you speak English and not much Spanish. Also make sure to ask for extra towels and hand rags
