We had a great time. The creek was amazing but could use steps

Such an amazing place!!!

Very relaxing property, nicely equipped, reasonably maintained with a great fire-pit. Needs a little TLC related to dishwasher and ice-maker. It would benefit from a deep cleaning inside and out. But still a wonderful getaway spot.
One dangerous thing can be easily resolved. The second step down from the top porch is not very visible at night due to overhead light placement. Adding a reflective strip fixes the problem.

This was the perfect vacation home for our 2 families. The stream beside the house gave the kids tons of playing time in the water. We will be back!

We appreciate the rustic by-the-creek cabin and forest setting.
The listing says smoke-free environment; however, the left first floor bedroom smelled of smoke and an ashtray on the top deck.
The decks were full of spiders and cobwebs. The decks, railings and patio furniture needed to be air swept and dusted with a broom.
Although we do not have a dog, we appreciate the setting to allow for pets; however, there was a pile of dog poo on the yard walk way to the cabin. It would be nice if previous pet poo was picked up for the next guests to enjoy the yard area without dodging it.
Some of the bath towels were new and unwashed. We found that out by one of the bath towels still having a plastic tag fastener securing the towel folded.
Both bathrooms had small, black mold/mildew spots on the ceilings, which can easily be wiped off. Also, this is being picky but there was dust and debris on the windowsills, A/C and such that didn’t get cleaned.
The kitchen and living areas were comfortable for our family. The cabin was well stocked with soap in the kitchen and bathrooms for guests.
We felt safe in the seclusion of the cabin and our family had a relaxing stay. Overall we enjoyed our time here.

The location is amazing but the house is rustic. Carpets, downstairs kitchen and some furniture could do with updating. The kitchens are also very spareingly stocked with dishes, no mixing or serving bowls and no cheese graters. There is also no closet space to unpack clothes. No dressers and where there is a closet, there are no hanging rods. We came for a wedding in the area and I had to hang clothes on the shower rods in the bath rooms and some hat hooks. Some extra plastic trash bags would also have been great. But as I said the location is lovely and quiet and the river is stunning.

We loved the view and creek. Our dogs ran free and loved it. However there are a few basics that were missing: dishes were mismatched & chipped, for a place called “Wine down the river”, there were only 2wine glasses, no bath mat for the shower, no hair dryer, the kitchen cabinets were sticky to the touch, and no washer/dryer in lower unit; grass was too high for us to enjoy the firepit; and decks were covered with pollen making it hard to enjoy them. I really don’t mean to be so picky but with a little $ you could make these changes and make it a premiere place to stay. It has great potential and met our needs for a wonderful HS graduation weekend. Rather rustic as it was. Beds were awesome; very comfortable. Thank you for making it possible

We enjoyed our time at this cabin. The property was beautiful and the cabin was clean and inviting. Fantastic porches for swinging, playing card games, or listening to the river. There was a hot tub on the property listing, but not one actually at the cabin.

We had a big group and we all enjoyed the beauty of this property. One of the best spots on the creek we’ve ever stayed at. Will be doing it again and hopefully will be able to stay even longer! Perfect!

The property was beautiful and the creek very relaxing. Being centrally located between so many fun mountain towns, wineries and restaurants - we were also able to stay entertained. The home was warm, welcoming and very well kept. We felt both at home and like we were able to truly get away for the holiday !

Loved being right on the creek, plenty of room for 9 of us, close to all three towns we went to see. Found a great BBQ place about 6-8 minutes from us. Had a great time

If nothing else, the sound of the river was worth it.
It’s a nice quiet place, and feels like you’re all alone in the woods. We enjoyed having the fire pit, the grill, and the view, and we enjoyed having the time with the family. If you’re a hot dog/hamburger kind of guy, it’s perfect. If you want to try and cook something more refined, you might be a bit disappointed at what’s in the kitchen. We didn’t do fancy food, but had to use a gallon ziplock to make twice baked potatoes bc there wasn’t a big enough bowl, but enjoyed the challenge.

Beautiful, peaceful location! Great cabin and very clean. Plenty of room (9 of us stayed comfortably) and has everything you need like fully stocked kitchen and bathroom toiletries. We all truly enjoyed our stay and are planning to return in the summer!

The best thing about our stay is how peaceful it is there. Just having a cup of coffee or a glass of wine with the water of the creek in the background will take the stress out of anyone.
Also, Dahlonega,
Ga is twenty minutes away with great restaurants. We hiked and were also able to go wine tasting right up the road. If you need a break with peace and quiet I would recommend this place.

We stayed at Wine Down the River for a family vacation and absolutely loved it! The cabin was fully furnished with everything we needed. The two kitchens are fully stocked and had everything we needed to cook as a family. The bunk room was amazing for the kids, and they had an absolute blast tubing in the river. The porches are so relaxing to sit and listen to the sound of the river at night time, and there was an awesome fire pit for s’mores. We will definitely be back!!!
