About this cabin rental
This incredible two story cabin in the heart of Topanga is for nature lovers. It has a lovely outside covered deck which feels like you are floating in an oak forest. You are fully immersed in nature in this unique home, but with all modern amenities. Enjoy the creek below and hiking trails throughout the property.
This charming wooden cottage with a lovely outside covered deck feels like you are floating in an oak forest. You'd never know you were anywhere near a city. Amenities include: stainless steel sink and counter, refrigerator, butcher block chopping area in the kitchenette as part of an outdoor dining area and an inside living room. The downstairs features a newly installed Brazilian Cumaru hardwood floor which, believe it or not, came from Jennifer Aniston's home! There is a queen size bed downstairs.
Climb up a wooden stair case through a hobbit door to enter in a very large bedroom area with beautiful wooden rafters and a queen size bed. There is plenty of room for additional mattresses. There is a separate detached bathroom with a full bath located outside just below the kitchen steps. You will have high speed wireless internet and a long driveway for parking.
You will be nestled in a 13 acre mountain village with other cottages, forests and mountain views.
Visiting this property is a very unique experience, some describe it as “glamorous camping”. No photoshoots, parties or cats allowed. Please read the full description, disclaimer, and reviews, to make sure this is what you are looking for.

DISCLAIMER: This is quite different from staying in an ordinary hotel. We are really in NATURE here - these are older cottages hand-built by artists in the forest. They are very rustic! It's like living in a mountain village, with other cottages nearby. While we work very hard to keep our places pristine and spotless - if anyone in your party will faint if they see a bug or lizard or little frog inside - then this probably isn't the place for you. Please be very careful booking cottages for someone else - like your parents just arriving from another continent - they might prefer something more conventional.
Some folks describe our places as a luxurious form of camping. We make our cottages very comfortable - they have all the basics - electricity - wifi - most have kitchens, bath or shower and comfy clean beds. But they are not like a hotel with perfect walls and a sterile atmosphere. Please look at all the pictures and read all the reviews. We can't offer refunds just because we don't meet the standards of a normal hotel. Most people are charmed by this idyllic and bohemian lifestyle - but it's not for everyone.

FILM AND PHOTOS SHOOTS: This is an amazing property for photography, and film, with 13 acres of rustic cottages, oak forests and sculpted streams. But please note we have special, and quite reasonable rates for filming, in addition to the normal rental charges. Please let us know ahead of time so we can work out the details. Commercial filming is not permitted without permission.

Magical experience! The beautifulness of Topanga Cyn, wrapped in oak tree goodness. The birds serenading at your porch steps, as you sit back and relax on a warm summer afternoon. Pure bliss! It was all perfect. Thank you!

I love the location of the cabin. I felt like I was staying in a treehouse. And I just want to say when there was a slight issue. I can’t remember the gals name that maintains the cabins but she was extremely helpful and I thank her for all of her support with working through the problem. Great customer service

The property is located in a beautifully wooded area of Topanga with a lovely stream but a few feet away.
Upon arrival the cabin has not been cleaned and while the management readily gathered the crew, approximately 2 hours passed between my arrival and move in.
The interior of the cabin was quite run down, the owner had to come to plug in an extension cord to run the microwave (more time waiting)—he was very pleased though.
I was told that some refund will be made for having been inconvenienced, none came even after I inquired the day after I left.
There were other properties on the land that looked more kelt up.

The main thing that I wish they would’ve told me that Tuna Canyon was one way with the closure I had to spend three hours getting back. I appreciate the place, but it could have used so much more. Being a carpenter for 40 years I would have done much more detail with it, and they would therefore get more money. I’m assuming this is a property that they have owned for many years and get by with this. But I hope in the future they will pay more attention to detail. I spent many years in Topanga in my youth, and I appreciate the hippie vibe so much! But they need to make it more user-friendly for people that are not as rustic as me… make the stairs safe, fix the broken tiles and cracked toilet, very simple things. I’m only saying this to shed light on what they could do. I offered my services, but they said they have a team. I don’t know what that team consist of, but y’all need to get someone else. The setting was beautiful. I could hear the birds, frogs, crickets and river below. I told myself if I were in Mexico surfing this would be the Kush place. Don’t expect people to drive through the road with holes and mud. Very simple just fill it up. Thanks for letting me stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much. This place is highly recommended to everyone who likes to spend much time outdoors in the nature and simultaneously don't want to miss a very comfortable bed, kitchen and fridge, a hot shower and Internet.

Just what we needed for a night away from the city. Running creek nearby, rustic and romantic feel. Highly recommended!

Our stay was overall great! Easy check-in instructions. Good heaters to keep the space warm. There were some structural things on the property that felt like they could have been easy fixes to make the property a 5-star stay; there was a board on the ramp to the bathroom that you really had to stomp on to get it low enough to be able to open/close the bathroom door. There were some mouse droppings around the kitchen, but we had experience with outdoor kitchens and weren't too bothered by this. Overall a lovely, rustic spot to stay. Not for people who aren't comfortable interacting intimately with the outdoors!

Rustic but magical corner of Topanga. You should approach it as if you were glamping and you will appreciate the quirkiness and semi-outdoor living. We watched the full moon rise between the trees from the kitchen, which is outside on the deck. We were able to walk to a couple of excellent neighborhood restaurants in 20 or 30 minutes (of course, you can also drive). The listing had an inconsistency in it, and we appreciated how understanding and accommodating the property owner was in response. There are some hiking trails under development. Overall highly recommended. I would return.

I sat outside on the deck, had all our meals out there—delightful deck and view
