Jays home was extremely comfortable and well equipped with every amenity necessary for a family get away. The house was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. The house was a very short walk to the town of Lenox with wonderful restaurants, shops and coffee shops. We even enjoyed the playground and cemetery next door. Jay's house was also only a short drive to a number of Berkshire activities.

The only shower is on the lower level of the house and the front steps are a bit of a challenge, but the house is immaculate, comfortable, very well supplied and in a perfect location!

We stayed here for a few nights while going to the Tanglewood Festival. The location was perfect: a block from downtown Lenox and an easy walk to the grocery store and several good restaurants, but on the edge of town adjacent to a cemetery and therefore very quiet, with a big back yard. The house was very clean and thoroughly equipped; we had everything we needed with regards to kitchen, laundry, etc. The wifi was fast and reliable. The air conditioning was up to the task even on a warm, humid night. The owner was friendly and helpful, very willing to share local knowledge. My only reservation is about the layout of the house. The second bathroom (the only one with a shower) is located downstairs and at the end of a hallway, not very convenient to the upstairs bedrooms. The master bedroom is in a converted living room, so it had a curtain instead of a door at the time we stayed there, although the owner said he planned to install a door. The main access to the house, through the front door, is at the top of some uneven stone steps that we judged to be too risky for my friend with mobility issues; for safety, she walked up and down the lawn instead of taking the stone steps. I think prospective renters should be aware of these layout quirks. That said, we had a very good stay at the house and I thought it was an excellent value. Our location was the envy of my friends who were staying much farther away for Tanglewood. I would not hesitate to rent this house again.

We spent a lovely week here with our children and grandchildren. The house is lovely, clean, bright, and cheerful, with lots of storage space. The kitchen is well equipped, and all the spaces including the large and fenced-in backyard worked very well for us. The kids loved the big tub. The location couldn't be better: a very short walk to playgrounds, stores, and restaurants, and a short drive to the beach and Tanglewood. Jay and Julia are very helpful and kind, truly lovely people. We were surprised to find that there was no door to the master bedroom, just a curtain. As we were with family it was not a major drawback but the configuration might not work for everyone. We would definitely return with family.

This was our first family vacation in the Berkshires and we could not have found a better house. The house is perfectly located, spotless, and well equipped. Jay had prepared toys for the children and added fresh sand to the sandbox. With two playgrounds within a 2 minute walk, as well as Lenoxs' nice town center we were perfectly set. Also close to Tangelwood, Laurel Lake and other nearby attractions. Jay was attentive to every request, gave us ideas and tips for activities, but also let us have privacy and space. We received our deposit by promptly with a hand written thank you card for taking good care of the house. We would definitely come back!

We had a great stay at this lovely house. A short walk to town and nestled up against a cemetery - both access and quiet. Owner lives next door and is incredibly helpful with local knowledge. Everything in the house works and the house is spotless. Enjoy!
