About this apartment rental
If you enjoy your peace of mind and privacy, and if you like the Mediterranean like climate, fruit orchards and flower gardens, our independent studio/guest house (400sqft), with a private deck (for your morning coffee) is an excellent choice.
It includes a bed equipped with a top of the line and very comfortable, queen size latex mattress, down pillows and comforter. There is a full kitchen with a fridge and a microwave, 2 burners glass cook-top, a dining table with two chairs, a ceiling fan, an A/C unit with a heat pump, plates, cups, glasses, pots and pans, utensils etc. for you to use. There is also a private bath with a shower and big closet with shelves and hangers. The reclining couch provides extra sleeping option. High Speed Internet is on us, but there is no cable TV in the house. There is also plenty of parking space available right in front of the house.
Located on the hills of Old La Mesa which used to be covered with avocado and citrus orchards our property reflects the flair of the region. Relax in a comfy hammock in our garden, smell the lavenders and the sages, the rose and the herb garden, the blooming orange trees or observe the variety of butterflies, hummingbirds, other local birds and animals that like to visit.
You are welcome to all the fruit from our garden that you can eat. Depending on the season we have plenty of, hard to find, Fuertes avocados, figs, oranges, lemons, grapefruits, guavas, persimmons and sometimes even a few mangoes or passion-fruit.
Highway access to HWY 94, HWY 125 and HWY 8 is right around the corner. You will be able to get to any place in San Diego in 15-20 minutes by car.
We are also only a 10-15 minute walk away from the center of La Mesa, famous for its antique stores, coffee shops, bars and restaurants and there is a Trolley leaving downtown La Mesa that will take you to different parts of San Diego. Every Thursday you will be amazed with old cars show and every Friday afternoon you can enjoy a local Farmer’s Market.
If you need anything, just ask. We are happy to provide information about the area, recommend a restaurant or places to visit, or to give you an extra blanket if you are cold…
