Small but functional kitchen. Comfortable beds. Good for 2 couples

Our group had a one night stay at this home. All went perfectly. The booking process was easy. Check in was smooth. Great communication along the way. The home is in a nice safe neighborhood. The home was clean and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay in this home again.

Excellent old home that has been modified throughout the decades to keep up with modern conveniences. Excellent heating and cooling systems. Love the front porch for rocking with a morning cup of coffee and an evening glass of wine. Pretty quiet inside while sleeping despite close neighbors with hyper-reactive dogs and a daycare. Each bedroom has a window without a blind/covering, so bring an eye mask if you don't want to be woken up by natural light from a 6ish am sunrise.

I can not say enough good things about the helman house. It was so charming and comfortable. We loved the little enclosed front yard and the well lit breakfast nook. The location was excellent and was an easy 7ish minute walk to downtown ashland and ~10 minutes to the Oregon Shakespeare festival. My daughter loved the upstairs bedroom - big and spacious. sylvie was also excellent in her communication and availability. The neighborhood is super cute also. I would strongly recommend this place if you are staying in Ashland.

We traveled up to Ashland for the Shakespeare festival for our first time with family and absolutely loved this sweet house beautifully located within walking distance of downtown. It was clean and quiet and perfect for our visit.

What a great place to stay in Ashland- the location is ideal-you can park the car off street and walk to restaurants, the food Coop and of, course the theatres! The kitchen is adequately supplied, bedrooms and baths nice and clean.

We had stayed at Helman House many times before it became a VRBO and were not disappointed

A friend of mine and I stayed to this property for three days. We fully enjoyed the location as it is within walking distance to most everything a tourist could want or need. The home was clean, the beds comfortable and the front porch peacefully quite. All was as it was advertised to be and our host made herself available to answer questions and give recommendations. An easy place to return to should we find need for accommodations in Ashland sometime in the future.

Had a great time. Nice that it was in walking distance to town. Never drove once. Beds very comfortable.
The only thing was a rug in front room. It was coming up on the edge of living room. We kept tripping.
It should be replaced before someone falls and gets hurt. Otherwise great place to stay. We would stay again.

We stayed for a week and it met all our needs. We loved the location, the beds were comfortable, the house was very clean and we felt safe. Thanks for a relaxing stay.

Great location, walking distance to city center arts and restaurants. Older property is charming, clean and well maintained, but sorely needs updating and substantive renovation (v photo impression).

You can’t beat the location! And the price!

This is a great location for visiting Ashland. It is close to downtown and to the Railroad District which has the Ashland Food Coop and the wonderful Noble Coffee.
The house is pet friendly. It’s only weakness is the kitchen. It’s small, no dishwasher and not well stocked. For a longer stay it would be an issue.
We would return again for a short stay.

There was so much room for our family. Lots of little spots to read or eat. Beds were extremely comfy.

Sylvie was a proactive host, she checked in with us the first morning to see if we had everything we needed. She even brought a jigsaw puzzle over for me to do during our weekend stay.

Stayed here for Thanksgiving. Home is located walking distance to everything Ashland! We had a little snafu checking in but the owner was immediately available to fix the problem. Would definitely stay here on our next visit.
