About this cottage rental
Come and relax at "The Beach Hive" Cottage! Approximately 70 miles from Washington D.C., 14 miles from Patuxent River Naval Air Station, and 16 miles from Saint Mary's College. This beach cottage can sleep up to 7 guests (1 Queen, 2 full, and 1 twin bed). This cottage features everything you need from a fully stocked kitchen, cozy living room, private bedrooms, and an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day on the water. It also features a front porch for sipping coffee and a screened back porch for evening cocktails. Water access is just a few minutes walk from the front porch. Enjoy dinner and drinks at Ruddy Duck Seafood house or famous stuffed ham from Chiefs Restaurant. There is a boat ramp within 1 mile of the cottage where you can put your boat/jet ski in the Potomac River or do some recreational fishing!

This is what going to a cottage used to be like. You have beds. You have a kitchen. You have porches. You have kayaks. You have access to a beach. Keep it simple.

Cute cottage that had all necessary features for our stay. Host was incredibly prompt with communication and would recommend to family and friends.

We really enjoyed our evenings at the cottage. It was quaint, charming, very clean, and comfortable. Michelle was very acomodating and attentive.

it’s not fancy, but it’s clean and it’s easy to find and if you have to be in St. Mary city or near Leonardtown, it’s a great place to rest your head. We would take it over a hotel any day and we’ve done many many trips down to St. Mary’s College for swimming through the years. This is the first time we chose VRBO and we can honestly say we would do it again it just makes sense for our family.

Great value and location for where we needed to be. Only one small bathroom to keep in consideration.

We really enjoyed spending a weekend at the cottage. It is in a nice neighborhood and an easy drive to stores and points of interest.

We were in town for a weekend event and wanted a small and convenient place to stay, this worked out well! A short walk to the beach, but the weather wasn’t very nice so it was empty and we didn’t stay long. The house is cute, and had everything we needed.
