About this lodge
Welcome to Refugio Pochoco / Mountain Lodge ⛰
You are about to start your experience 100% connected with nature, but for that, you need to be clear with the rules ☺.
Care and respect for nature is essential and fundamental to having a comfortable stay.
Keep in mind that you are at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level (bring warm clothing), and the arrival path is at kilometer 7, which we recommend not descending at night, even if you are an experienced driver or an intrepid adventurer.
Energy and water are limited resources, take care of them! Don't overload the system with electronic devices, don't waste water, take short showers, just what is necessary.
In the bathroom, put the papers in the trash can. Please leave dirty towels (for bathroom use only, not for the hot tub) neatly arranged on the floor to indicate that they're dirty and need changing for the next guests.
The water heater only works with the pump on. During check-in, the guide will show you where to turn it on
Feel free to use everything inside the lodge, taking care of it as if it were your own. We are equipped to accommodate a maximum of 2 people; if you have more guests, let us know so we can prepare, which will incur an additional cost.
There are two blankets in the house that you can use indoors or outdoors or as covers. We provide a hot water bottle, but we recommend bringing warm pajamas.
The kitchen has the basics to start your recipes: salt, sugar, and oil.
Complimentary coffee and tea from the house ☕.
The hill is at your disposal, be free and reconnect with nature.
Always be careful. You can explore the trails, climb to the top of Cerro Pochoco, go cycling, or run with your companion 🐶. Be aware that you might encounter hares, birds, foxes, and if you're very lucky, condors soaring through the skies.
The hot tub is available for use at an extra cost of $30,000 (for firewood). It takes approximately 7-8 hours to heat the water.
If you start early in the evening, you'll have warm water, provided that the fire is kept at maximum and the stove is carefully monitored for safety precautions.
Bathrobes or hot tub cover-ups are not included.
Take care of the firewood as it also serves for the indoor fireplace; be sure to keep an eye on the fire🔥 to prevent any accidents.
Check-in It's at 3 pm recommended to have time to heat the hot tub.
Check-out is no later than 11:30 AM to avoid inconveniencing the following guests.
The mini-fridge will be equipped with:
- Sixpack of beer
- Pisco 700 ml
- Coca-Cola/Sprite en lata
- Bottle of wine
- Chocolate
- Bubble gum
The prices will be sent on the same day as the check-in and should be settled during check-out.
You can have barbecues, turn up the music, enjoy a good wine.
Always dispose of trash in the garbage bags, and let us know if you have any questions.
Live Refugio Pochoco.
