Our hosts were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they even made sure we were aware of the lengthy road closure due to an accident the day we left, offering advice on what to do while we waited.
The bed was super comfy, as were the armchairs. Their Weber BBQ provided an ideal way to self cater for dinner and a really tasty homemade muesli was provided with fruit and juice for breakfast. Highly recommend as an option for staying in Alexandra!
Nothing, everything exceeded our expectations.

A really nice Quiet place to stay, loverly host is about 5 minutes drive to Clyde and about 10 minutes from Alexandra. Cromwell is about 20 minutes drive and I estimate Queenstown would be about 1 hour and Wanaka about the same. A great spot we arrived quite late in the evening, so didn't get to spend much time outside. It was a really peaceful setting in the countryside. Nicely furnished and set out with relaxing internal Deco in keeping with the timeless schist clad stone exterior. There was a barbecue which you could use to cook on as the accommodation was set up as a bed and breakfast, so that would be great if you wanted to stay longer than one night, or if you wanted a break from cooking you could check out the local restaurants or get take-outs.
THIS IS NOT REALLY SOMETHING WE DIDN'T LIKE, AND IT DID THE JOB. The tap on the ceramic vanity basin looked fantastic on the basin but because of the height of the spout and the tapering angle of the vanity bowl the water kind of washed up out and onto the floor if you turned it on too fast as there was fantastic water pressure (Great shower by the way). My opinion as a former plumbing consultant would be to put the single lever short spout kitchen (? Vanity tap in there and the longer more kitchen suitable facet in the kitchen, if you can't do that for some reason or don't want to you may be able to put in-line flow reducers. I think it was the hot side with most spraying. For some reason, the water came out differently on hot on its own to the cold being used on its own. (the filter which was in the end of the spout kind of looked like it may have been for a lower pressure or unequal pressure set up it may be possible that there is or was a different filter available with finer mesh which may improve the way the water flows out of the spout with your pressure. It was kind of funny, and we only got caught out once. But it was quite a bit of spray, which we cleaned up quickly off the floor.
In saying this about the pressure, it wasn't really a problem and the tap looked great in the bathroom.
this would not stop us staying there, I am more concerned that if you had a guest who had the same thing happen didn't wipe the floor quick smart that it may damage the nice timber ? Laminate flooring. As I said, this is not a complaint, just a suggestion to make your fantastic accommodation even better.
Thanks for a loverly stay

The little extras, like wine and chocolates. Good reading material and tasteful art work , fresh flowers in a vase. The tidy outside areas. The sharp knives, I usually carry a good knife as have found cheap, blunt, even broken ones in holiday homes. The night sky is amazing.
A small microwave would have been used

Our hosts made us feel exceptionally welcome. The studio was beautifully appointed and the adjoined outdoor area was restful and private. Super close to the picturesque town of Clyde.
