About this house rental
Pineapple House
Welcome to Pineapple House! Just completed in 2022, this beautiful new home sits on a pristine mile-long pink sand beach in the gated community of Wykee Estates. Boasting magnificent ocean views from every angle, this impeccably appointed and luxuriously furnished home offers the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor living.
Pineapple House includes a three-bedroom main house and a detached one-bedroom guest cottage.
The Main House features three spacious bedrooms with king size beds, each with a full en-suite bath and a direct ocean view.
The living room and kitchen are situated in the center of the home, creating a natural gathering spot for relaxing and entertaining. The luxuriously appointed open-concept kitchen, finished in quartz and stainless steel, includes a separate pantry and an adjacent laundry room.
The detached guest cottage is a complete one-bedroom house with a compact but complete kitchen, a living/dining area, and a private bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath.
The outside living areas are as luxuriously appointed as the interior of the house. Step out of the great room onto the stunning ocean-view patio with an infinity edge pool overlooking the beach and ocean. (The pool can be heated for a fee of $400 per week.) The patio is furnished for lounging and dining, and features an outdoor kitchen with a gas grill. There are both covered areas on the patio for shade and open areas for sunning.
From the patio and pool deck and walk 100 feet to a spectacular pink-sand beach, long and wide and protected from surf by a barrier reef. This beach is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, playing in the sand, or taking long walks. You will often have the beach completely to yourself.
A five-minute walk down the beach takes you to Pascal’s excellent beachfront restaurant and bar. Pascal’s has a swim-up bar and offers poolside service. Sammy, the island’s most renowned bartender, is famous for his tropical drinks and friendly service.
Amenities at Pineapple House include WIFI, air conditioning throughout, a gas grill, beach chairs, a water filtration system, and a back-up generator.
A five-minute drive from Pineapple House takes you to Governors Harbour, the main town on the island. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won’t want to miss it.
Eleuthera is most famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. It has a population of just 8000, and everyone knows everyone. It’s famous for being very safe. The snorkeling and diving on the island are world class. There are many reefs which you can snorkel or dive right from the beach. The fishing is also excellent, because the island is so undeveloped and thinly populated. Bonefishing is very big, as is deep sea fishing and reef fishing. You can fish on your own or hire a guide. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. You can rent power boats, sailboats, sea kayaks, paddle boards, jet skis, and bikes. You can have a charter captain take you out for fishing, snorkeling, or diving excursions. There are several popular spots for cliff jumping, including some tame enough for children. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, dozens of beaches, each one unique, some historic churches and 19th century homes, and little villages to explore. There are local tour guides who can show you around. The island is truly magical.
